A local grocery store in my area redid its toy aisle back in 2013 and dug up a J Jonah Jameson toy from one of Toy Biz's late '90s Spider-Man lines which blew my freaking mind. The package was stained dusty and the clear plastic box was all yellowed but there it sat right next to the latest wave of the 4" Marvel Universe figures of the time. Weird shit that.

^ Now THAT was an old figure, lol !
Back in the spring of '06 (I remember it was '06 because I was obsessively searching for Toy Biz's X-Men Classics line) I swung by a Wal-Mart that had recently been renovated, and I found the Batgirl w/ motorcycle set from Kenner's '97 Batman and Robin line. I almost bought it, just out of shock, and for the sake of novelty, but then immediately remembered how awful the movie and accompanying toy line were EDIT : Wow, now I'm really starting to feel old, as I think about those "lost" figures ! When I saw that Batgirl, which was about 9 years old at the time, it felt like I was finding an antiquated figure from eons long past. However, that Supergirl came out about 10 (!!!) years ago, and as I was thinking about when I originally bought that figure, I honestly can not believe that that was nearly an entire decade ago ! It seems like it was just yesterday ! I can even remember where and when I bought each of the other figures from that series, and it certainly doesn't feel as if a decade has passed since then ! Damn, I feel old, lol ...

i've seen this stuff at a few stores.. i see the ghostbusters symbol and am immediately attracted to it.. but, i don't know, i just can't get behind it. i really dislike the new proton packs, i'm not a fan of the new car, and the outfits just look strange to me.
maybe once i see the movie i'll come around. |

Found this set of 3 at 2 different Walmart. Was hard to pass up both times but I was in search of other things, which I found, and only had money for what I was in need of. Don't collect these anymore but would have made for good trade fodder for sure.

Passed up on Spider Gwen and Venom only because I just got them a week prior. I came back for that fast guy, lol....
Everytime I see the hype for some figures like the spider gwen, I tell myself, "patience, you have SEVERAL walmarts to visit later. They will be available, soon..." so, I didnt have to pay those crazy scalping charges, just retail my friends. Hope everyone else is able to find these soon as well. |

Same here with 'Pizza Spidey'. I may try and use my Spider Gwen as trade fodder but not many willing to part with the web crusader in trades.

I keep seeing this at a lot of Wal Marts. 3.75 inch figures on clearance.
Also did not know about more TMNT classic reissues. Also had totally missed that Matty was repacking the Classic GB figures. Same ones the Matty website has had for a couple years, the 2 packs with removable backpacks, but you get the Build a Logo instead of stands and proton streams. |

Went to a local TRU, and saw a Legacy edition black and gold dragonzord. i was hot for it and was ready to buy it, but when i picked it up the box look like crap, and then on top it had a piece of scotch tape on it. i can tell it was opened.
i had to pass on it..... if it was sealed i would got it in a heartbeat. |

I saw the TMNT reissues, but I didn't pass up on 88 Raphael and Krang. I already had the other three classic turtles from childhood so I wanted to complete the set.
I did pass up on quite a few things on that same shopping trip. I saw the Star Wars Elite Series figures in the Disney store(masked and unmasked Kylo, Rey, Finn, Stormtrooper, and some others), several WWE Elite/Defining Moments figures I'd been wanting(Shawn Michaels, Sycho Sid, Starrcade 97 and surfer Sting, Brock Lesnar), a NECA 7" Keaton Batman(already have one but a spare wouldn't hurt), and a Diamond Select BttF2 Delorean. At my local Hastings this poor guy has yet to find a home but that busted open box isn't helping his case.
Then at Wal-Mart tonight I saw the new Star Wars helmet sets but I only picked up the OT set. I'm not sure what the TIE pilot's chest apparatus is even supposed to do other than just sit in front of it.

Got my first taste of the new Halo stuff from Mattel today. Not really digging the Elite figure, as the lack of paint deco really shows, especially when you compare it to McFarlane's older Halo stuff, but the new scale is nice (he's 6", as opposed to Mcfarlane's 5"). I might end up picking it up later just for the Ghost, as I it'll look cool with some Black Series Stormtroopers riding around on it, or as a piece of Hydra technology apprehended by Cap. The price point was pretty good as well...considering it came with a 6" scale vehicle and pilot figure.
