Wanda..... I don't want to spoil anything, but I shall say that it really is a Captain America film before it's an Avengers film. I'd go in expecting a sequel to The Winter Soldier before you hope for anything else. On saying that, Scarlet Witch's story is advanced, and she has some GREAT moments, but just don't expect a fifteen minute-long character feature for her.
As for villains... I want to say that either there aren't any, or that they all are. Pick your poison. Quote:
@En Sabah
Changing artists with each issue? That's a great way to kill a title... What you describe sounds a lot like "Lawful-evil"...*D&D heads rejoice! Our gloom filled, funky smelling-basement-knowledge has its uses!* I could see them ultimately going the route you've suggested, but Chthon ain't havin' no "halfway crooks!" As with Angela, I say they make her a "duchess" of some nether-region. She'd be infinitely more interesting to me that way. This failed/redemptive/repentant-hero stuff has gone on far too long. I think Scarlet Witch having the redemption path was necessary though to bring the character back from what Bendis did. It was an effective way to revive her both in-universe and for readers but it served its purpose and they should just move on. Like we said, just have her accept her dark deeds and keep on truckin'.

This is one aspect I disagree with Marvel on. It should not have been a Cap Movie. It should have been its own movie Marvel's Civil War.

I wish they'd make up their minds and elevate her, corrupt her (I think she'd make a great villain to hero to villain again with "evil" as her permanent final status), or neuter her. This nebulous shit is bad form. If they're going to flesh her out, they need to commit to some consistency somewhere. Marvel desperately needs strong editorial leadership...
And people say D&D does not have uses...LOL |

"Chaotic Good" is basically as En Sabah described it. Someone who doesn't follow any rules, is out for their own enjoyment of life above anything else, but doesn't harm human-like beings unless they deem it absolutely necessary. Think Conan The Barbarian. Whereas "Lawful Good" is Shield, Captain America, etc. |

I agree with ya. Solo titles should be more about the character than jampacking heroes into a film. Though the ending left me disappointed it also felt very much like the issue of cap your fired. How sick would it be if the next cap had john walker cap and chris evans as " the captain "? Us agent movie anyone? Maybe it could feature nomad d-man and vagabond? Get jared padalecki as nomad, kellan lutz as john walker, wwe wrestler as d-man and natalie dormer as vagabond.

I think more chaotic good (depending on circumstances) and less lawful evil. To me Dr. Doom would more closely match lawful evil as he is incredibly well structured but has extremely selfish motivations. Chaotic good on an average day implies disregard for the law but not to the point that you're hurting others deliberately. As a chaotic good Wanda could focus on mastering her powers and abilities but the general goodness of the character would keep her from becoming power hungry. Just because someone rules a place like Hell doesn't mean they can't have good intentions.
When you mentioned Ghost Rider, I immediately thought of a "Duke of hell." Archduke, archdevil, "hell lord" whatever you want to call them...by nature and station, they have to be evil. Regardless of the circumstance, their baseline is malevolence. As I see it, there's no way to maintain your title in any hellish realm and be "good" in any way. Although I don't agree with your stance on "nether-realm monarchs," I understand your take as it pertains to the Marvel Universe. Marvel has been blurring the line with "hell" and character alignments for a long time (since the 70's at least: Son of Satan, Satana, Ghost Rider etc). Quote:

I think with so many of the hell-oriented characters it comes down to a recognition that a lot of people dig the hellish aspect but if they aren't ultimately good characters then fans will drop out. Switching companies for a moment, Spawn is the pinnacle of capitalizing on Hell's appeal while at the end of the day still being on the good side. Of course Spawn's story got extremely convoluted pretty fast so using him as an example only applies to the earlier material.

It's so strange that my stores were one of the first to get the new Wolf Cap wave and they still don't have the Black Panther wave.

I was able to find a fodder White Tiger at a decent price to cannibalize for parts, and was able to finally give my Felicia some flat soled, (not to mention more comic accurate) feet.
While the color of of WT's feet are not a perfect match color or size wise, they fit well, and I've always felt the feet on the standard female Hasbro Legends was a bit too large. As for the color, it seems Hasbro has always had trouble with whites when it comes to getting the feet to match the body. (At least with my figures...) My Anti-Venom and White Tiger have this issue with the the colors not quite matching on the feet to the body for whatever reason, so while it's noticeable on Felicia here, it's not enough of a deal breaker to send me to my local hobby shop to look for that perfect shade of paint, (although I might do it later anyways to help tighten up the ankle joint, which has always been somewhat loose.) It's a shame that White Tiger's hands are too small, because they have an actual working swivel that's an improvement over the one Felicia currently has. Oh well. Besides those minor faults...my Black Cat can finally do this now without support... ...and that makes me a very happy man. Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 05-01-2016 at 10:37 PM.. |

A big problem with the current Scarlet Witch comic is the changing of artist per issue, it drives a sense of discontinuity. I like the notion of Wanda being unstable with her powers but some writers take it too far and just label her as insane which is not the same condition. My ideal path for Wanda would involve her veering closer to the "dark side" and embracing said darkness without just flat out becoming a villain. In essence this would make her similar to someone like Ghost Rider, corrupted by darkness yet attempting to use it as a means of good and redemption.
Any signs of the Kate Bishop pack in stores yet?

Were the feet easy to heat up and remove from Black Cat? That's the only part that worries me. |

Black Cat's feet have a nice, sturdy foot peg, it's White Tiger's that you have to look out for, since it's on a smaller figure body. You definitely don't want to twist and risk tearing the peg off the ankle joint, leaving it stuck in the foot. Make sure you apply plenty of heat. I found the boil and pop method actually worked a little easier than using a hairdryer or heat gun.

While both could benefit from a more defined stance going forward, Scarlet Witch is the older and more popular character. Also Scarlet Witch has been going through character repair since the whole Disassembled/M-day shit wrecked her character. Heinberg did a good job getting the ball rolling on Wanda's reintroduction but more can be done.

Really looking for a Toybiz Loki Mint and Complete. Not the Variant version with short horns though. If anyone has one in good condition I'd trade a Mad Love Joker from the DCUC 2-pack with Harley. I have all his accessories and he's mint.I've got 23 References on Ebay and 16 Refs on another figure site. Send me an DM! Thanks for any possible help.
