You're so damn lucky. I'm trying to get all of the Arkham DC Multiverse stuff. Deathstroke is fairly pricey online.

Speaking passing up on TMNT stuff, saw this at TRU and thought it was a good deal $55 considering there's 8 figures in there. But decided against it.

Passed on a bunch of new stuff at TRU today. Saw the Suicide Squad wave - meh. Some Titans Return Transformers, and the new Mattel Halo wave. I gotta admit, the Halo figures were pretty hard to pass. The paint apps are pretty much non existent on these guys, but there's a lot of detail in the sculpts (reminds me of Transformers where it's just plastic and no paint). I wanted to get this Elite and Chief and try bringing out the detail with some paint, but decided against it.

@ Trivial - I think you missed a Spartan. Pretty sure there is a red one with a Needler.
And yeah, they definitely need a wash to bring out all the details. Quote:

Uh.......I don't know. But I held one with my hands haha
Edit. Did some research and found it on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Halo-Spartan-...ds=Mattel+Halo Looks like there is going to be an SDCC version of this, it's just a paint variant with different weapons. Last edited by Zorn88; 07-09-2016 at 07:46 AM.. |

Walmart tonight finally got the Lex and "bat creature" 6" figures, still not sure why either of them actually got an action figure. Even the bat creature's face looks surprised to have gotten an action figure. They marked down the 6" black series figures but the only new/recent one they had was Kanan and I don't care about him (I have yet to start watching Rebels at all), everything else was snowtroopers and flametroopers.

You need to start watching Rebels! Really cool stuff, and season 2 has touched more on other really cool Star Wars lore.

I really hope they make some of armor designs from REACH at some point and not just the stuff from Halo 5 and on. I'd love to see the Operator and JFO armor at some point. |

They both looked pretty bad to me. The bat creature was in the movie for maybe half a second during one of Batman's nightmare sequences and even then we only really saw its head but yeah someone at Mattel decided it should get a toy. This entire new 6" line has been questionable in my opinion, the only figures I've picked up have been the Walmart exclusive Batman and Superman from TDKR 30th anniversary and those are just He-Man classics with DC attachments.

I like them but their articulation is definitely dated, at least compared to something like Marvel Legends. Specifically the ankles are just hinges and the elbows could have benefited from being double-hinged instead of single. The colors look very nice compared to the comic but I've seen plenty of small mishaps that can really hurt the overall look given how simple their designs are. Many of the ones I've seen, both Batman and Superman, can have scratchy chest symbols or belts. On Superman's head where the curl plugs in to the head it can have some very notable paint screw ups. Superman's cape can also be problematic as the pegs where it plugs in on the front can be apparent, the degree of annoyance will completely depend on how you feel about it, and the back of his cape doesn't have the symbol at all. Overall I do like them, the head sculpts are faithful to Miller's art while still being sorta generic for the characters and the figures have a solid presence, the He-Man bodies work well for them given the source material.
