^^This^^ Where's a like button when you need one. If you go and watch the panel, they basically say the Bucky Cap mold is wearing out, which things are prone to do or so science tells us. It's more cost effective to make a new mold than to retool/repair the old one

Awesome poses and post TBM! As always!
@Don, great avatar update! Yeah I changed mine, given that my avatar was chosen out of support for Po' to be made. She's made. Granted we don't have her in our little hands yet, but it's a done deal (or I'm a done deal with ML one.) I know this avatar is a little risque (and if anyone gets offended just let me know, I'll take it down and replace it with another) but I think it's time I show my appreciation for the always underappreciated and underrated Selene, potentially Marvel's most powerful villainess who is not some sort of cosmic entity or Hell Lord. She-Hulk size is not the standard, since the switch to being the Infinite Series only Valkyrie and Thundara have used the larger female buck and before that it was Red She-Hulk, three figures is not the standard. The Moonstone body has been used 5 times not counting exclusives, Both Carol Danverses, Classic Spider Woman, Rogue and Black Cat. As you can see the female figures in this line vary quite a bit
I honestly couldn't say why they used the bucky cap body for Cyke. Maybe he was to far along in production to switch to the new buck Last edited by xjuza; 07-24-2016 at 09:37 PM.. |

@Veronica
Those panel sentiments make sense to me. Additionally, I'm not sure how 'retired' any one mold truly is. I won't know until BBTS fills my case order for the X-wave, but Juggs' arms bear a resemblance to the 2pk Hulk arms...but, again, I'll need them in hand before knowing for sure. They (Hasbro) can always mix and match as they see fit and I'm all for upgrades and improvements. Variety is the spice of life, right? Ok...you don't know me, so I'll let the,"which if u collect them you would know..." comment slide. (you sure you were provoked on Fwoosh, without offering any provocation of your own?) Feel how you want to feel, but don't presume that your opinion is the only way to 'see' a situation. The Bucky-mold is nice, and works with a number of heroes, but it has many limitations. On the flip-side, aesthetically, you may dislike/hate ball-jointed hips, but they have their advantages. I'm not going to pedantically list out the different ways in which people approach this hobby, suffice to say, I'm all about dynamic posing of loose figures: Above are examples of how well the 'new' hips 'can' work with some imagination and skill. However, as happy as I was with these postures, I'm not hitting the following poses without modification...or ball-jointed hips: My point isn't about which mold is better. I collect all of these figs, and have done so for a very long time. I like almost all of them as a result of my history with both Toy Biz and Hasbro. Why? Because I like my perspective to be as broad as my choices in Legends bodies/molds. You're not wrong for how you feel, but neither is anyone else who happens to like the things you don't. I encourage you to keep expressing freely your opinions and ideas, but I also hope you allow room for others to disagree...that's sort of what we do here. Welcome to the Ark. |

Definitely agree. I still post over there but they are a bunch of jerks over there. They get all worked up over a bunch of toys and fictional characters. It's not that serious. Everyone here is more friendly and laid back. Even when there are disagreements between posters it's still respectful.
I don't participate anymore, but it is what it is.. On a more topical note, good lord what where they thinking with the new iceman figure?!? He is straight out made of rubber and won't stand for long becuase of how loose and prone to warping the entire figure is. I actually really like the look of him but he went straight in to the legends bin after hours of trying to get a pose that would allow him to remain upright failed time and time again. |

So I wonder if there will be some turnaround time before the final Facebook poll, or if it will start bright and early asap? |

They make you jump through hoops just to have the privilege post on the topical boards, that should tell you how much of a boys club it's become over their.

@TBM
First of all, Awsome Pics! Second, I have the new Juggernaut and he has differrent arms than the two pack Hulk. The 2 pack Hulk was kinda blocky due to the Ed McGuinness style they used while Juggernaut seems more natural looking. |

No problem. They declared Songbird and Typhoid Mary the winner during the SDCC panel (which I just watched, thanks to whoever it was that posted the video), so it might be they are taking the results after 24 hours which means Citizen V would be a winner too.

That's six body types, which is quite a few. Male figures have Bucky, Grim Reaper, Sentry, Pizza Spidey and now a teen body. It makes sense that they'd want to add another in the mix, especially given Hasbro's affection for simple repaints over sculpted detail (something which would make the specific body more obvious). @BM, If Hasbro finds a way in the future to include ball-jointed hips and somehow mask them without impeding movement, that would be the perfect combination. I could also ask for the end of world hunger, as they both have an equal chance of happening! You're a star. Cheers for that, mate! If this poll is any indication, we might be receiving a glimpse at a Songbird figure come next SDCC. |

Two things
1) I just called the Hasbro Toy Shop customer service line. They will be updating their page with info on the go live date for the SDCC exclusives tomorrow. So if you are looking for the box set, hopefully we will learn when it will go on sale. 2) I was on vacation during SDCC so I didn't post much. But I am very happy with what they have shown. I like the X-Men wave a lot! The guardians wave is good, but I am still kind of bored by the Strange wave. Overall, I think it will be a good year for Legends. Vacations are always great. Glad that the reveals (mostly) made you happy, I totally agree with you about the Strange wave. NOt bad just the weak link of the upcomings waves, as far as it stands now. And welcome back! |

I could be a little biased though. But don't worry, I won't obsess about her like I did with Polaris LOL. As much as I'd love for her to be made, I know there's almost no chance, so I'm not going to expend the energy on it. Much rather push for characters that have a large fanbase that are more likely to get made, you know? Last edited by Captain Nash; 07-25-2016 at 07:39 AM.. |

@Spyne, yes, I'm in the same boat. I now have two spare Scarlet Witches that both my custom projects are no longer necessary to do. Hadn't thought about doing a Selene out of that but I might give a shot. It may turn out better than my diaper Emma repaint! |

those are awesome poses but id rathered all the spiderman to look like they belong together and im guessing hasbro now does to otherwise all the spidermen would have those ball jointed hips, but no they decided to give them to kaine, and as for iron fist i prefer him punching then kicking but thats just me. and if they bulk up the standard male buck that will make this upcoming iron fist look like he belongs in that kids spiderman tv show, which is not the look i want when i think of iron fist, should of used the bucky cap mold for once for the character.
As far as Iron Fist is concerned, as someone that's been a big fan following Power Man (Luke Cage) and Iron Fist as both a duo and in their individual comics before they coupled...the "Iron Fist"-attack has always been a coup de grace sort of move. The Immortal Iron Fist (great story arc!) handled the manifestation of his abilities a little differently, gifting him with more applications and duration of usage, but his invoking the power still functioned along the lines of "show stopper." That character, that they 'call' Iron Fist in the Ultimate Spiderman 'toon is a shadow of Danny as he has been represented in books...and sadly, to my dismay, Marvel is shifting the comic Danny to the same 'vapid-surfer-skater-hippie' (no probs with surfers, hippies, or skaters here...just the stereotypes surrounding the personality types) found in the cartoon. You may want a heavily muscled Iron Fist based on the 'toon, but big muscles don't exactly compliment marital techniques. Additionally, Danny does much more than punch-out enemies. Iron Fist has classically been illustrated as a lithe/lean athletic physique and his current comic depiction is no different. But to each their own...I also don't see Daredevil as possessing the same physique as the Punisher...but meh, you and I are from different comic eras and we've been introduced to these heroes via different mediums. Quote:
Hah! I'll take an end to world hunger over the return of ball-jointed hips and an increase in my figure posing options! lol Seriously though, I never hated the ball-hips like others have. Make the 'ball' larger and add sculpted details...and it becomes less noticeable. |

I'm just gonna pipe up here and say, hi? Not sure if you've noticed, but I am particularly interested when MLs makes new molds, and as for females all having the same size, we have:
That's six body types, which is quite a few. Male figures have Bucky, Grim Reaper, Sentry, Pizza Spidey and now a teen body. It makes sense that they'd want to add another in the mix, especially given Hasbro's affection for simple repaints over sculpted detail (something which would make the specific body more obvious). I probably should have just scrolled down before writing, since you've covered this already Veronica. @BM, If Hasbro finds a way in the future to include ball-jointed hips and somehow mask them without impeding movement, that would be the perfect combination. I could also ask for the end of world hunger, as they both have an equal chance of happening! You're a star. Cheers for that, mate! @TheBlueMarvel ,yea but if they make the buck for standard male characters from now on that spiderman uk buck, then iron fist would still appear lean compared to them on a bucky cap mold, im not talking about the current legends im talking about the future ones , with those bucks being the norm iron fist will look like a twig next to them.

I don't post on marvelousnews.com but I do lurk, I saw someone post on there over the weekend (just saw it now) that they ran out of the Raft sets.
SIGH. I wonder if they keep some stock back for online or if we're just SOL and have to get it through scalpers now? If that post is even accurate of course. My biggest worry aside from cost is that with the past exclusives (excepting last year when I was very lucky to get it off HTS) I've always just gone through Amazon. My worry is that the scalpers are going to open up the sets and sell the figures individually to make more of a profit. And that would mean those opens sets are not going to be showing up on Amazon as they're opened product. S...O...B... Last edited by Captain Nash; 07-25-2016 at 08:41 AM.. |

@xjuza
They haven't said that they are retiring the Pizza Spidey mold, Peter will be on that mold for the foreseeable future (at the very least, for symbiote-suit Spidey)...Miguel is a different person than Peter and Hasbro may be reinterpreting his physique as being larger...I know almost nothing about Briton Spidey, but they could be going for the same thing; creating a distinction between the figures and avoiding constant mold re-hash. |
