Well you can be.
I'm not. I look at them as future prototypes to make the 4'' line better with. Plus I need that 6'' Darkhawk for my 4'' collection as one of his armor shifts for like if he was fighting the Hulk. And that Nico Minoru. God yes that sculpt is perfect, and has yielded some great ideas for the 4'' version. EDIT: Yeah, it's kinda impossible for me to get jealous of the 6'' line when the majority of what they do either doesn't affect me, or is of figures I don't care about anyway and the few points they have done that do cater to my interest, can work with what I do collect for the most part. I am so sick and tired of the BS dismissive attitudes though. Especially the ones that put the hate on things that are inconsequential and harm no one. I have mild other complaints though about the fan community. And if Falcon was any indication, Hasbro is actively looking into future premium packs that are accessory rich for collectors. What I really have a problem with though is people that take credit for ideas that were never theirs, and then spin it to hurt and oppress others. People that give lip service to get what they want, but then actively don't do what they say. People that knowingly oppress others, and then try to claim they are good people instead of actually being good people. I've seen people use kindness to treat others like shit but then not speak up to stop it (which means it wasn't about being kind, it was about making themselves look good), and I've seen people be shitty to others simply because they can. Both things are wrong. And I will NEVER support people that are like that. I will actively tell them they aren't worth my time, because all they are is a bully that makes excuses for their own shitty actions. Last edited by Snowflakian; 07-24-2016 at 09:52 PM.. |

I was watching the panel and some guy asked if 6" packaging could be changed due to all of the BAF theives and swapping, which is a legit problem at least in my area. Dwights response was "write a letter to all of the major retailers every day." I just find the guy to be incredibly disrespectful. I mean he was just on tape saying the articulation will NEVER return to the 4" scale, and now Jesse falcon takes over and we get a lot of it back?
I'm not saying the guy deserves to get called names, but when you are a publicly traded company and your company makes $879.9 MILLION in a quarter and you give flippant responses, you are going to get some back. People can tell (usually) when you are genuine and sincere vs when you are being a bung (in snows words lol) and insincere and half assing your job. These guys easily make six figures for making toys it comes with the territory... Go back and look at the old threads and what they called vonner when the legends line was cancelled.. I've worked in some form of service going back to being a paper boy in grade school. I've been called just about every racist name in the book (I'm mixed so people have a hard time figuring out what slur to use) for things beyond my control. Yeah it sucks, but if you sit there and take it like an adult and provide a reasonable explanation and show some sincerity they usually apologize for it and get sheepish afterwards. Anyways I hope they stick with using the more articulated bucks from now on. |

And those can work with the 4'' line too.
Warlock BAF too. And they did already release an anti-venom 4'' though we could do for another in his slimmer form. Kinda want them to repackage and re-release that anti-venom minimum along with Carnage, but if they must go full new mold, that's fine too. Maybe for the Spidey 4'' line. Heaven knows we've got enough Spider-men figures as is. So using that for some of the villains/anti-heroes would be nice. Last edited by Snowflakian; 07-25-2016 at 04:26 AM.. |

My two cents on the whole thing about 6 inch collectors: I said it yesterday based on what I had been seeing as of yesterday's reveals, and it bears repeating:
6 inch collectors: That had BETTER be a 6 inch figure! 3 3/4 inch collectors: Hope we get a 3 3/4 inch version of that. There are exceptions, of course, but that seems to be how it goes. Quote:

Also, earlier in the thread, somebody said that Phoenix was gonna be 6 inch, but I see too many differences between the reveal and the one we just got for me to be convinced. Let me dig up a pic from my G+. Edit: Here's the pic. Some differences are subtle, but too noticeable for them to be the same mold(which would be what Hasbro would logically do).

Something else to keep in mind on the 6'' lines too.
Every wave with 6'' is a rebranding. GOTG legends. X-Men Legends. Spider-man Legends. etc. There has been no strict consistency to all of it under one legends banner. In the same year, they get so many releases because each is a rebranding attached to an upcoming film. It makes it easier for retailers to clearance out the old to prep for the new. The 4'' line on the other hand, has only rebranded directly 3 times across a 7 year period, and only done so when it was needed to fix a backlog issue. There is one way to fix some of the Legends 4'' problems right there. And it seems it's one Hasbro is about to experiment with as they did announce a Spider-man 4'' upcoming. So maybe we might see more like that. Or if we're lucky, maybe we'll see another dual rebranding. Legends 4'' becoming "All-New Marvel" and then a film centered character line alongside it for film years. So for homecoming that'd be Spider-man, for team movies, it's the team associated, etc. Okay yeah, I'm a bit disappointed in his words if that's true, and the last time someone said something even remotely close to like that at hasbro, they got removed. So I'd expect if he doesn't shape up, he's going to ship out soon. He has a point that those BAF pieces getting stolen are on relaxed retailer security, but it is also on lack of hasbro finding a way to make them more secure(that boxed method is way to easy to quietly tamper with then if that's happening, I've noticed it at my local stores too). Take Titans Return for example. Those toys are damn near glued in place in the packaging to make theft of any piece of it impossible. And damn right they should do that. Even Legends 4'' is so damn secure in the packaging you can hear someone trying to steal one out of package halfway across a store. So maybe they should reconsider how packaging is approached some to prevent that. That Phoenix is definitely 4''. No upper thigh swivel. 4'' feet standard. Missing other markers of 6'' articulation too in the arms. No waist or ab articulation. That's pure 4'' current standard. And it looks like it brought wrist swivel back. \ when I see posters here, or the writers of Marvel Toy News, or whatever commentator spout 'Oh, it's for the sh***y 4" line' or 'who cares, should just be 6"', '4" should die,' etc., it feels like we're part of some crazy toy bigotry, and I thought- I would have hoped- the collector community would have been above that.

I need some toast and medication to read this thread apparently! good stuff....
Happy to see a Shocker. Be nice to have an Anti-Venom. Someday....Someday. Reflecting on what Kernal said about Dwight.... just confirms what a d-bag that dude is. Constantly bashing our scale and laughing at us. All that hate he spews and gets a $400K salary. What a guy! My highlight had to be the JJ figure.... what was yours?

Got my Civil War 4" Falcon today, didn't open the package yet. Also ordered kingart Ant-Man mini statue. Took 1 week to arrive.
About the new 4" figures Jessica Jones looks pretty cool wish they would do Civil War Crossbones, Elsa Bloodstone and that new 6" Nova in 4" scale. |

I can't see how they wont. That buck is the spitting image of Dracula. They wouldn't even have to put a lot of effort into a new head mold. They could just make some very minor tweaks on the Quasar head. They also might need to do a little bit of work on the gauntlets.
When they only revealed the silhouette of the figure I remember that a lot of us thought it was Dracula. I wouldn't be surprised if they made this buck with Quasar and Dracula in mind.

Also it was nice to see they put Jesse falcon in charge of the 4" stuff...who seems to actually give a $hit about the line, he mentioned several times about the ab crunches being back in the 4" stuff.
They also mentioned vehicules for the 4" line in the Q&A... And right before they did an intro for the GOTG 2 packs the Milano flew by: Also, I can't believe no one mentioned this until now! We finally get someone who really cares about this line and we might get vehicles back! If I can get a Milano in this scale I would be forever grateful to Hasbro.

Having Jesse Falcon in charge of the 3.75" line is AWESOME news. He was behind the initial success of Legends and has a passion for his work. Having him on board is a very good thing.
