Seeing them up-close, I can safely say that, while Enchantress is fantastic, I can hold my breath to see if there's a single-carded version. Something about her just leaves me wanting - not sure what, but it's there.
Dreadknight is still the best of the whole set and probably the one that would cost ridiculous amounts to grab on his own.

I might eventually chase after Kilgrave separately if only to save me the trouble of having to paint over a Coulson figure to make him, although I will probably be swapping out the head with one of the David Tenant cast heads floating around out there. |

I have a whole slew of stuff to open. My mom was here for my birthday (yesterday) for the past few days so I have not even taken stuff out of the shopping bags yet. Love having a mom who was fine with sitting in the car and reading her book while I stopped into a few stores while we were on the other side of KC.
I will post up some haul stuff when I get home from work tonight. Well high heels do make one stand taller.

Yeah but when you think about it, the buck she came from, the Scarlet Witch one, is too tall despite the heels. Should be shorter.
On the set as a whole, I like it. I got a great price ($200 shipped - which will most definitely will be the cheapest I'll ever find it at shipped to the UK), and it suits my tastes. Not really as good as past SDCC exclusives, but still good. I am pleasantly surprised at how cool Abomination is. He may be my favorite. Sandman is lacking, A LOT, but I like it as a sand look and the inevitable BAF in regular colours will be a nice addition. I think this Spidey is very nice, despite some minor gripes. Dreadknight is the clear winner though. |

Is it? I guess all female figures are too tall (well not all but a lot) when you stop and think about it. These are fictitious comic characters though whose height even varies in the source material all the time so it's not hard to forgive little things like that. Enchantress for example I've seen illustrated as going up to the Executioner's chin and that was a design without heels, other times she barely goes up to Thor's pecs, it varies.

Enchantress gets a pass, since she's Asguardian. I am so pleased she isn't like Valkyrie on the Red She-Hulk body. I feared that to be the case. Talking of Valkyrie, the cape for Dreadknight would be PERFECT for a classic version of her. |

Oh for sure, pretty much all of the female figures apart from the Spider Girl bucks are too tall. Like as tall as Bucky Cap or taller with heels. Really makes them Amazonian lol

I know I'm a fool. But the Raft set just popped up on Amazon for $250. I had that much budgeted for it...and considering I won't be available to even try for the HTS day sale...I went for it. They only had one in stock so we'll see but hopefully it's mine.

Thanks for the happy birthdays all.
Back to DTL's earlier question. If you are interested in getting the 12" Spidey Legend it is a pretty damn nice figure. It is basically a big Pizza Spidey with an extra fully unmasked head, some extra articulation and no pizza slice. It has both a diaphragm joint and ab crunch as well as toe articulation. The paint is a pit darker than Pizza Spidey as well and the foot is different to accommodate the toe joint. Comparison shot below. Now that all being said, at 50 bucks, I cannot really see myself buying any others outside of Nova Prime should they ever make one. As for 6" stuff, I ended up picking up the TRU box set this weekend. I was kind of on the fence about it and at $60 instead of $50 like previous sets, I almost left it on the shelf. The head on the Spidey is a kind of odd bulky sculpt rather than the more narrowed sculpts of most of the recent Spidey figures. The Cap and Iron Man are both just battle damaged variants of the latest wave with unmasked heads and Iron Man has an extra set of effects. Over all, I could have easily passed on it but just snagged it mostly as a "meh whatever" purchase. Thanks for the Raft set pics TheXtremisT. I am honestly even more sure now that I do not really want the set. Particularly if I have to try and fight HTS lag or pay over their price on Ebay. Actually kind of happy about that. |

You can never have too many Spidey rogues:
Now that Jackal has been announced we could really use Vulture....and Mysterio.....and Lizard.....and Shocker....and Kingpin....and Scorpion....and I'll still be only halfway satisfied. |

I really want that Enchantress and Spidy. Hopefully they'll show up single carded someday. Since Hasbro is releasing Dormammu as an upcoming BAF and he was an exclusive to last years SDCC I have a glimmer of hope. |

Had my light box set up the other day so I took some quick pics of some of the Legends that I've gotten over the past couple of weeks.
Quick shot of some of the recent Spiderman figures. Lil' Spidey's first web line "I swear baby, it's over between me and my ex. Our retcon was finalized 8 years ago!" Quick shot of the MCU Spidey with the Ultimate Comics Spidey. I hope Hasbro lightens the colors on the MCU figure when it gets re-released next year. They're just way too dark. That is a GREAT idea! Wow never heard anyone suggest that before. I may have to do a custom of him on that body one day if Hasbro never make him.
