In regards to the current argument/debate going on here, what stores are some of you guys shopping at that you actually expect employees to be on the sale floor offering help ?
In my area, Wal-Mart, Target, and TRU have been "self-service" for years. The concept of the "sales associate" has largely been abandoned by those stores, and many others. Many of them have even been implementing self-checkout areas, where you don't even interact with a cashier. When I go to a gas station, I don't expect an attendant to come pump the gas for me (like they did decades ago), and when I go to big-box store, I expect to basically do everything for myself as well. That's just what the retail experience has become. Blame the economy, blame Amazon, blame whoever you want, but that's just how it's done these days, so why get salty when there's no one on the floor to be your personal shopper ? FYI, if you do indeed want someone to play personal shopper for you, shop at a higher class of retailers. Sure, most areas don't have "boutique" toy stores, but when it comes to sneakers, clothes, liquor, electronics, etc... if you want an employee to actually show any interest in your tastes and buying habits, hit up a higher-end boutique. You'll be blown away by how much better the customer service is compared to your average chain store.

My Legends collecting revolves entirely around the Fantastic Four (and their extended family, of course), and I agree with the previous posters who recommended that the best option would be to wait.
Seriously, lol, there just aren't many good Legends figures of the F4. However, if you want an F4 set right now, the Toy Biz box set (with Franklin Richards and Dr. Doom, not the Heroes Reborn box set) is your best option. Unfortunately, it sells for high prices on the aftermarket, and the figures are severely dated at this point, with the exception of The Thing. Seriously, the Thing figure in that set is not only one of Toy Biz's best Legends, it's, IMO, one of the best Legends overall. The rest of the set is, by today's standards, sub-par, unfortunately. Another option for a matching F4 set would be Hasbro's two F4 2-packs. While those figures all have matching costumes, the only adequate figure is Johnny Storm. The Reed figure is a re-release of Toy Biz's dated Mr. Fantastic, The Thing is a re-release of Hasbro's awful Thing figure from the Ronan wave, and the Sue Richards figure is just plain terrible, lol. Hasbro hadn't quite hit their stride yet with the Legends line at that point Plus, those figures are pretty pricey on the aftermarket. Oh yeah, and just skip the figures of Reed, Sue, Ben, and Johnny from Hasbro's F4 Ronan wave altogether. They're expensive, and just bad figures. Reed is kinda cool, due to his size, but is far from being what I'd consider a definitive version of that character. Another option would be to pick and choose from these and some of the other F4 figures, because there are a few good ones (from both Toy Biz and Hasbro) available, but you wouldn't have an aesthetically compatible team with matching uniforms. So yeah, unless you intend to be a Fantastic Four completist, just wait, since Hasbro may have some new F4 Legends on the horizon.

HOWEVER when you do need help at a walmart, target,TRU store they should be ready to help when asked a question. Not run or walk the opposite direction, or when you do ask something they act as if they're too busy or unable to help. Or in some cases put a face and attitude up when they actually have to do a little work... once again the job is customer service... there is slight interaction needed when working in retail stores. |

Amazon has the Captain America wave 3 figures up. It's not a care for me, mine have already been shipped/delivered (and I'll see them soon yay!!!) but for those interested:
Wonder Man - https://www.amazon.com/Marvel-Inch-L...el+legends+eel Eel - https://www.amazon.com/Marvel-Legend...1MCWX4812N180P Scarlet Witch - https://www.amazon.com/Captain-Ameri...KSC6GG5DVMMX9E Captain France...err America (sorry, injoke on my planned custom) - https://www.amazon.com/Captain-Ameri...QKN9TG9617D3VS Iron Skull - https://www.amazon.com/Captain-Ameri...D2PQJV5V4BXJ7G Captain Britain - https://www.amazon.com/Captain-Ameri...JTQV1HZ95K6J1J These are from third party sellers. Ranging from mid $20's to mid $30's pricing, except for one being higher (doesn't take a genius to figure out which one), so I'd hold off until Amazon directly gets them in stock . Just providing links so you can add to your wishlist since I haven't seen them on here yet and if I have, I'm sorry for the duplicate information. |

I was happy being a TRU sales associate. Also worked SRS. My buddy Hugo was a temp, and a toy collector, so we both were really considered helpful around the Christmas season. But alas, Hugo was a temp and I moved, so don't know how that TRU is doing now. People always asked me questions and I always managed to help out.
Also, Bootleg Vision, overall, GREAT FIGURE. Does feel a bit soft in some areas (but then again, I kinda left him in my car for two hours XD) and missing a paint app (the gem) and he has derp eyes, but he is a great figure. Comparison to SHF CW Ant-Man And comparison to some of the "taller" legends |

*sigh* sometimes I just don't get why Hasbro doesn't bother double packing the clear sellers of the wave. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with retailers wanting an abundance of recognizable characters like Spidey/Cap/Iron-Man on the pegs, but it's not like there's a shortage of Captain America figures, even from this year.
They have to know at this point that most ML collectors care more about a movie version of Wanda than some obscure costume for Captain America. Just...anything to make sure that people that actually want these figures are able to get them, rather than inflating their value artificially so scalpers can price gouge. |

2017 has the potential to be a HUGE year for F4 Legends ! I'm ecstatic about Sue and Herbie, and judging by Hasbro's recent track record, I have the utmost confidence that they have the potential to give us great versions of Reed and Johnny, but I just hope that their new version of The Thing is half as good as the early Toy Biz Thing and the F4 Classics Ultimate Thing. Those were such stellar figures ! For F4 collectors such as myself, this summer was monumental, with the new Black Panther and Namor figures (lol, sure, it was only two figures, but during this F4 drought, I'll take what I can get !), but it still wasn't nearly as satisfying as actually getting new, updated figures of the First Family !

Hmmm, I'm starting to wonder who else we could see in a F4 wave. After the initial four figures, I could definitely see an army builder like the Skrull being included in the wave. Then maybe one or two Inhumans and/or C-list villains to round out the wave. Looks like Frank is also a member (probably the president) of the "WE WANT F4 LEGENDS" Club. |

He's the only fig I truly want from this wave. This is nice for me given how much cash I've dropped on recent figs from recent waves. Still, I figure with a bit of patience I'll be able pick up Ol' Cap Brits for below retail soon enough. (May look at some of the others after they drop to $10 or below as well.)

Those are the figures that were hardest to find in these respective waves. It's the duds like Speed Demon, Beetle, Misty Knight, White Tiger, Copperhead, and Sharon Carter...those are the ones clogging up store shelves...and every single one of those figures were one a case. Even with the Ant-Man wave, while it was Wasp that surprisingly pegwarmed, MCU Ant Man, the other double pack, was actually tough to find. I still find Grim Reapers and Bulldozers loitering store shelves occasionally, and one of those was a highly sought after "cancelled" figure. Case pack selection really is a random thing, and it's really all dependent on luck. Sure, we think we know what will move, and in a lot of situations (Deadpool for example...) we would be right. However, in a lot of cases, we honestly just have no clue. For example, who would have thought that it would have been NOVA of all figures in the GOTG wave that would be the hot seller, not to mention the best selling Legends figure of all time according to Hasbro, and not Rocket Raccoon or Starlord? Got out of work tonight, stopped by the local Walmart, and lone behold, there they were on the bottom shelf next to a lone Ice-Man figure from the X-Men wave. If I can find them at my crappy Walmarts (which to this day I STILL have not seen Black Series 3.75" figures at,) then these are out there folks. Good luck and happy hunting! Same with me, except I want Red Skull, not Cap Brit. However, I see no reason to go out of my way trying to get him when as I said, he will be heavily discounted at Xmas time. Hell, Red Skull will probably be too.

To be fair...Hasbro has actually been double packing the sellers this year. With the Rhino Wave, Scarlet Spider was the double pack. With the Absorbing Man wave, it was Ben Reilly and Venom (Venom was double packed with the case revision.) Onslaught wave had two Cap Wolf figures (which I no longer see on store pegs around my stores.) With the Civil War wave, while Cap and Iron Man was double packed with wave 1, Black Panther is the double pack for the revision, and we know he's the seller. I'm sure once the Space Venom wave drops into stores regularly, you'll be hard pressed to find a either of the teen Spideys. Prepare to see one a case Ashley Barton sitting on shelves well into next year.

The weird thing about Wanda though is that she's literally the only one from that wave that can't be purchased anywhere individually, outside of Amazon price gouging. |
