That sounds like it makes sense. I was thinking that it might have to do with the exacting detail needed to carry through movie likenesses and costumes. They have to nail the 'moneymakers' (movie properties) because that's where all of the real revenue is generated...not with the comics or even the toys. I like your theory better, it's less cynical than my take on the matter.

Amen. Last year, one of my best friends passed away. Thursday night we were in the kitchen talking, the next morning I was woken up by frantic knocking on my door, her bf said something was wrong, I had him call the paramedics and she was gone 4 days later. She had a massive stroke at 38. She was in great health, went for a run everyday, ate right, took great care of herself. Trivial is so right, make sure you get your check ups, if not for yourself than for the loved ones you'll leave behind

good news , a roster of characters have been lined up for new mutants Movie!
- Danielle Moonstar - Wolfsbane - Sunspot - Cannonball - Magik - Warlock This would make a good x-men wave alone , though considering were getting Warlock as a BAF i wonder if the film will get hasbro to make the majority of these characters. Source Last edited by Exodus; 08-30-2016 at 09:02 AM.. |

MarvelousNews posted up some in-hand photos of the Doctor Strange wave, and I'm hyped up more. Honestly, looking at the SDCC-exclusive characters that are getting redone for that wave... I'm liking the retail versions more. Enchantress and Dormammu really work well with a darkened palette, and the new colors for Dormammu's flaming skulls almost looks like there's LEDs in them or something. Brother Voodoo is a trade-off, because while I like the SDCC one's head deco better (the skull facepaint is key), it uses that awful cape that comes with Hulkbuster Vision, and I hate that thing. Also, the overall deco hits me a little better on the retail release.
Though I wish I had a set of the SDCC Dormammu's skulls, so that the retail one could pull an MvC3 with one in each hand. "POWER OF THE CREATOR! POWER OF THE DESTROYER!"

UGH. Stop posting those great setups, TBM. Giving me serious plastic envy.
(But in all seriousness, keep it up. One of these days, I'll have enough space and extra income to invest in some of those effects pieces and the like and try to get up to your level. )

@Blunder
lol Thanks, dude! That shit is old though...I did that a few days after getting my SDCC set following the convention...When the Strange-wave drops, I'll likely revisit the concept with some of the stuff I've been experimenting with lately. |

^Man. Edge of Spider-Verse took a weird turn.
(Also, digging the lurking Vision in the back there)

First off, it's so nice to not have headless Onslaught anymore.
Kitty is probably my favorite figure in the wave, her head sculpt is great, no paint issues on mine, and who doesn't love a purple dragon? Phoenix, is a pretty solid figure, I've heard a lot of complaints about her balance issues, "her hair is too heavy" "her heels make it hard to keep her standing" Personally I think the fact that her right leg is longer than her left leg is what causes the issue, so if pose her with a hip popped she stands fine. I really wish I had snagged the marvel select phoenix when she was affordable, the phoenix stand from that would look great. Havok, not much to say about him, he's a fairly standard bucky cap figure, if you're a fan of the character he's great, if not he's kind of meh. His blast effects are neat and I hope they reuse them for Speedball one day. Wolverine is pretty awesome, I'm not the biggest fan of the character, but the figure is solid once you get the claws straighten out, and I love that they made a new stockier buck for him. Cable was honestly not a figure I was personally looking forward to, so his being as good as he is makes me happy. The larger of the two guns with mine was very warped coming out of the package so be aware of that. Overall I really want to get my Domino custom done now. If anyone figures out what the strip of bullets is for let me know Rogue.... My Rogue had some QC issues. Her hair was only half glued down and seated wrong, and her headband was only half painted (pics below). She great aside from that, mine even hand a second ungloved hand behind the plastic tray, it's a little squished but nothing a heat gun can't fix. When I need to bust out the paint kit, have to color match and and then pry off and re-situate the hair piece right out of the package, you lose points Iceman, probably the weakest figure for me, he's gummy, but not as bad as I expected, I think the biggest disappointment is the lack of ice effects Deadpool, looks great, Wade isn't staying here so I didn't even bother to look to closely at him. Juggernaut, seriously I don't get the hate. I love this BAF, maybe it's because I don't have and never had any of the comparable figures so I don't know any better, but this is probably my favorite BAF yet Also WCA, they need to make a new Tigra

Great review. I totally agree Iceman is the weak point in the wave, and is actually the only one I do not like. Juggernaut I do like, but I wish his fists, because they are so large, were not just giant bulbs of plastic. Wish we had some articulation in there.
Sorry your Rogue had the QC issues, that sucks, hopefully you will find another. She was definitely the high point in the wave for me. But Kitty was the surprise runner up for me and I completely agree she is an awesome figure. Enjoy, and as always, great shots! Love the retro wash look of the last picture. |

Vm the bullet strips are for the larger gun as they recycled forges weapons ( sans pistol ) for cable.

So after much debate last night about whether or not I wanted to new Bucky figure, numerous reviews swayed me to the side of "yes" so I stopped by Wal-Mart to pick up the one I saw yesterday. Figured why not? I can squeeze in another Legends, it's gonna be awhile before I see Wanda for anywhere near a reasonable price, and my birthday is coming in less than a month.
I actually like this guy a lot more than I was expecting. The head sculpt is phenomenal. It might be the best likeness we've had for an MCU character to date. You definitely see Sebastian Stan in the face sculpt. I also like the color scheme a bit more than the older Winter Soldier figure and the star looks much nicer. Definite improvement over the older figure. Unfortunately, this is a bit bittersweet since now that I have this figure, there's no real hunting for me to do until the Abomination Wave hits retail around here :/ |

RE: Scarlet Witch....I received my Wanda and to me she is easily the best figure of this current cap wave..THE PAINT APP on the face of mine is the best i've seen on a female Legends figure to date..I think it's a good sculpt on a damn good figure..

I piked up 3 Black Panthers from a Walmart cube. So if anyone still needs one LMK. Cost plus shipping.
