Everyone seems to love those bootlegs, am I the only one that doesn't? It's a good likeness for Jeremy Renner and they deserve some credit for giving Black Widow double elbows but Hulk looks like a washed up ex-Hulk starting to go to seed, Vision looks like a cosplay by a middle aged banker and something just seems off about Iron Man and War Machine. Something in the proportions.
Everyone is loving them now, but then in six months when the figures have a mass meltdown on people's collection shelves and the rooms stinks up, everyone will be feeling differently.

I won't willing support bootlegs and I think they look like crap anyway. The colors on those figures looks so washed out and the plastic looks cheap. Oh, and the feet on Vision are so damn long while his head is huge. Widow's hair is the wrong color.
Everyone is loving them now, but then in six months when the figures have a mass meltdown on people's collection shelves and the rooms stinks up, everyone will be feeling differently. I've had both positive and negative experiences with bootlegs, and all I can say is that in the end, you usually will get what you paid for. How that works out usually depends on your personal perspective. I think these new bootlegs aren't terrible, they might actually work a little better in the case of Vision and the Armors, since they should be a little larger in comparison to their Avenger teammates. I might end up getting one or two as placeholders until Hasbro comes out with something better. At least I won't sell the farm chasing after a custom... |

they were cheap!!..and I wanted a vision until there was an official release..but then i wanted that Hawkeye (CW)as well until there was an official release..then i just kept adding more...lol...i was like..F it..why not. I think the first good look I had at them was in Advocate P's vids. He seemed to be impressed with them.

The costume is great as long as she isn't wearing the stupid fauxhawk mask. Thankfully from what I've seen and read she really doesn't wear the mask.

Something looks very erotic about the way this picture came out. I'm not sure if it is how you have Spider-Girl's right hand posed or the angle of Silk, but it looks really "I need an adult" ish.

Speaking of sexy, does anyone remember when Marvel used to put out their yearly "swimsuit" issues? Pure cheesecake sure, but I kinda miss those and would love to see it make a comeback. I can imagine though with the way things are in the world right now, it would probably be nothing but bad optics for the Marvel should it ever see the light of day again.

Sorry, I just can't condone the purchase of bootlegs at all. Hell, I saw this really nice Dairugger XV 6inch figure that looked just like it came out of the anime and all of the individual mechs separated, but I still couldn't bring myself to support it. However, I wasn't trying to poop on everyone's fun, I was responding to lordbest's post. In this case I don't even like the look of them so it works out fine in that regard. Quote:

To be fair, they were pretty fairly applied back then. It's been 20 years, and those images of Cable and Colossus in hiked up Rio styled bikini bottoms is still burnt in my mind in a way I can't unsee. Don't even get me started on all of those gratuitous crotch shots of Namor..lol |

I just had the best idea for what to do with my spare classic Nick Fury head.

You should see the one of the Punisher wearing the Skull codpiece or Namor wearing nothing but a seashell...*shivers.

I'm completely serious when I say this, but this 100% should be brought back. Apply the cheesecake equally, do it with a sense of humour and it would be hugely popular.

I have friends who work for Funimation, so I know how much damage a bootleg can harm their sales.

Double elbows on female figures.
12" ML Captain Marvel 6" She-Hulk 6" Nightcrawler Some kind of generic female SHIELD agent like we got with the classic Nick Fury figure

Nico Minoru is my Favorite Legend this year, hands down. Yes, she has dethroned Namor.
...She makes for a fantastic bodyguard of Strange as he slips into astral projection: |

I knew something was (and probably still is) cooking in that brain of yours for the Mystic Crew.. FANTASTIC WORK on this piece. I love the colors and the lighting and the action. I like how the flames are creating a circular path around the figures. I'm looking forward to more...(i know there'll be more).. (and this is what your're doing at 6 am...heh-heh) I was hoping to see the inside of the building again... doesn't seem like it's going to happen this year

The shot to end all shots. This is a thing of beauty.. I'm a huge Nico fan but was not looking forward to the figure (hate those clothes she's wearing), but you've turned her into dynamite! You're even making me consider that "new" Strange and, mate, two Astral figures?! Guess I'm going to my Ebay tab....
