so was browsing on ebay and saw an iron spider figure, then it occurred to me that would have been a great re-issue or new walgreens or walmart exclusive, i know it wasn't in the movie but still...

Way back when ( 98 ) when i worked at target we would pull old stock down after x amount of time to work in the new then as the new would sell or discontiued items removed the old stock would be worked back in (the idea being that those seeking the older stock would be apt to buy them, the old stock having been removed so the demand would be somewhat back). Anymore nothing new is ether ordered or put out ( as evidenced by the heinous amount of old crap especially in the starwars and wwe crap still hogging space at full price) unless everything is sold....so it seems.
Wish brick n mortar stores would do this mor, especially walmart with teh wrestlers and that the women would quit being shortpacked. I hate the fact that if i want a becky lynch figure i have no recourse but to pay 24+ for her from a dickbag scalper... ( more than double the f&$king price) But yeah back to my pre-rant point. They may be doing this with X-Men since we are seeing remnants of those, and just beginning to see the Giant Man wave somewhat regularly-ish, minus BP. Who the hell knows what will come of the Space Venom and Abomination waves. Hasbro may have produced the same typical numbers of those waves and end up sitting on them in the warehouse, or the retailers in their main distribution warehouses, for who knows how long. I just hope that all doesnt lead to an outright cancellation of the line eventually, though I can certainly understand a downsizing in either production (if they get what the produce on the shelves) or number of waves. |

There's already a bootleg for this figure. Is it even out yet?
Marvel Legends Captain Marvel Carol Danvers Silver Black 6" Loose Action Figure | eBay ...preemptive piracy! lol maybe they'll release the upcoming Hulk before we even see pictures officially released by Hasbro! Regarding the costume choice, I like it but I gotta say it's a pretty odd choice. |

Okay here's a new idea on the wish list game, let's say at NYCC, in a nod to a ToyBiz line long gone, Hasbro announces a Marvel vs Capcom wave of Legends, complete with BAF. Which characters would you like to see make a list in an 8 figure wave?
There is one catch. While they can be characters from either Marvel or Capcom side, they cannot be a character who has not appeared in the series. For example while Cyclops or Ryu would be okay, a character like Daredevil or Dimitri (Darkstalkers) would not, since they never appeared in any of the games... That said, since many of the Marvel Characters in those games have Legends figures, I'm leaving out redone figures like Spidey and Cap, so as a result, my list might be Capcom biased. Yet, there are still a number of Marvel characters in those games that have yet to be done or have really awesome character designs that I would love to see, so here goes.... Charlie (Street Fighter) Morrigan (Darkstalkers) Jill Valentine (Resident Evil 5 version) Strider (Strider) Chris Redfield (Resident Evil) Blackheart (complete with a little bag of demons) Silver Samurai X23 BAF: Sentinel (with rocket punch hands...) Lol Jin is awesome! Since Marvel/Disney stripped Capcom of that license, it'd be tantamount to rubbing salt in the wound to do a 180 and give a nod to the former relationship...Not to sidetrack this convo, but I still don't get why Marvel/Disney said no to more Marvel vs Capcom games. Guess they hate EVO. lol |

I thought that for a second, but there are so very many of them. Not to mention, they are all sellers that have pedaled KO's in the past. I was going to buy (I won't pay more than $25 all in) the auction I posted, but I missed the ending due to becoming busy. I look forward to the pics...

These are not bootlegs. At least, they shouldn't be based on what I've heard about the seller in the past. If it is, I'm getting my money back.

I already have Dr. Strange and Nova so my team would be complete. I would also pick: Arthur - Ghost n Goblins SHUMA GORATH - This would make an awesome BAF Haggar - Ass Kickin Mayor Wesker Dante Virgil Nathan Spencer - Bionic commando I could honestly list the entire roster, but my number one choice is Frank West! |

You could be right. My comments about the number of auctions for this fig were a bit exaggerated. Best I can tell, there were four. If we see large numbers of auctions over the next few months, then my money is on KO. Which wouldn't stop me from nabbing one. I was playing with DTL when I commented about the Chinese KO's pointing out IP theft. He knew that, and responded with a hilarious comeback (by the way, Dark, as a kid I bought a pair of fake Bally shoes...but quickly stepped up my game to the real shits in an effort to authenticate my 'fake' yardie/rude-yout' phase of dress ). Knock-offs and boot-legs can definitely hurt a business, but they also serve a purpose when prices soar to unreasonable levels. If someone buys one, Like Dubious said, no judgements...just don't try to resell it as authentic. |

I think I remember that convo. It took place on the DC thread (?); a long and tedious dialogue about what does and does not constitute a bootleg.

I have a problem with companies just ripping off other companies work, maybe not so much with corporations like Hasbro but the bootleggers don't stop with them. So I don't buy them, but I don't hold anyone to the same standard and I certainly don't claim any higher morality about it. I don't have any issue with underpaid Chinese workers stealing figures from the factory and selling them, which was the popular theory for how these guys got their figures. I think one of the Star Wars figure fansites bought some of the Star Wars figures they were selling and they swore they were official.

Do you still play UMvC3? I haven't played in years, but it was one of my most competitive games I have played. I have actually beaten a handful of pros and lost to some greats as well, lol.

I also felt the speed of the game was too fast in comparison to past MVC games, but that was more of a personal preference thing. @Exodus: Capcom has received a crushing amount of criticism with the way that they handle business in the last few years, ranging in everything from the way they are milking certain franchises, taking license with those franchises (especially Resident Evil and Devil May Cry,) being notoriously difficult to work with when it comes to licenses (hence why we see so many Ryu action figures, but never anyone else,) and extorting gamers with microtransactions for items that are often contained on the disc (such as the whole SF vs Tekken fiasco.) They do not run a very tight ship over there. @ Blue Marvel: way to kill my poll with a discussion about Disney and Capcom relations and how it will never happen... 90 percent of this thread is a bunch of us sitting around dreaming about what figures we will likely never get anyways...I meab, a guy can dream right? My 2 cents
I think these are official, but here is my thought process: Hasbro says we want Factory A to produce 10,000 pieces. So the factory then produces 12,000. They would never produce only what is asked because there will always be rejects. Plus they can sell whatever extra to Hasbro if they wanted the surplus, but if not the surplus is auctioned off in China as extras. That is why the SDCC stuff is almost always listed from china prior to SDCC because once the factory fulfilled the Hasbro order the extra had to go somewhere. I'm nearly 100% sure we will eventually see these captain Marvels on peg or in a boxed set, because why would a Chinese factory start making a toy that already has less value than it retails for as Carol is still on many pegs from the All father wave. Then again I don't know why Hasbro is making another one for the same reason. They had to discount the one already released down to $6 to get rid of them, lol. Quote:
Truthfully I never got into Marvel 3 simply because 90% of the characters that I played from previous games were not included in it. I used to run heavily Darkstalkers-based teams (usually BB Hood and Anakaris at lead) and many of my other favorite characters that I would often pair those two with, such as M.Bison, Venom, Rogue, and Strider, were not in the initial release of the game when it first came out. While one or two of these characters made it into the UMVC3 release, it was already too late and by that time I had lost interest in the game altogether.
My OG team was Guile (Imagine that), Ironman, Sentinel and I would occasionally swap IM with Megaman. For some reason Megaman was my anti-cable and all my friends were running with advanced hyper-viper beam! Last edited by K Dubious; 09-28-2016 at 11:19 AM.. |

As for your idea, my stab at it would be something along the lines of: BAF: Shuma-Gorath Blackheart Doctor Doom Marrow Psylocke Felicia Hayato Kanzaki Mike Haggar Ruby Heart On the Marvel side, characters that could really use an updated figure, or who have never had a figure in the Legends scale before (including Shuma as our BAF). On the Capcom side, characters who deserve some merchandise recognition, plus Felicia because I like Felicia I didn't include any Street Fighters because, though they're super pricey these days, the SOTA line can mesh pretty well with the Legends scale imo. Honestly, I'd rather see two waves, because there's a more unlikely BAF that would be fantastic to do... Magneto (classic colors, though I'd go nuts for a teal 'Mahvel Baybee' version) Storm (Jim Lee-style) Super Skrull Taskmaster (classic costume) Jin Saotome Strider Hiryu Captain Commando Morrigan Aensland BAF: Abyss (First form) Oh yeah.

Yeah I used to support buying from HK, but it's too blurred now with China, and my family is from HK too |

Sorry about the "tedious" remark. Kind of a pot and the kettle scenario given that I can often be the 'king of tedium' with long winded overly officious comments... |

Speaking of Nebula I highly expect to see her as a figure in the GotG Vol. 2 wave because a lot of fans have taken up a following for the character. I do wonder though if that GotG themed Legends wave shown at SDCC will be just all comic based and if we'll get a separate wave for the movie. We were shown Darkhawk (yessss!), Angela (also yes), Sam Nova (neat), and Vance Astro (retro!) with the BAF being Titus (seriously?). So we've got two unknowns at least there or even up to four since they could pull a move like some waves have and put in eight figures with no double packs.
