Thanks! I captured that one behind the local Fred Meyer store.

Anyone having issues with Eligos' leg popping off the hip peg? It pops back on okay and holds fine unless I give it a few good tugs (which I guess I shouldn't do?), so it's not that big a deal, but I was wondering if I should exchange the figure while I can or just deal with it. It's not like it affects posing the figure or that it's falling off just by looking at it or anything.
*EDIT* Actually, I gave the leg a really good push and felt the peg pop into place. It seems I'm pretty darn secure now. I guess everything's all right. Last edited by Dolemite; 11-11-2016 at 06:22 AM.. |

I conducted a pre-emptive boiling of the figure to loosen him up before trying to move his limbs, and one of the legs popped off. He's the only figure I've ever softened up to make flexible and then had him turn frighteningly rigid again afterward. I'm afraid to move his legs.

Yes, but I've been hesitant to move it for fear it'll pop out again; the other I'm hesitant to move 'cause it feels like it'll snap.
And I have had good luck with NECA QC. He's just a weird figure.

I usually avoid water, tho I know a lot of people use that trick. I tend to use a hair dryer, just cause it's quick and I can target specific joints.

I've never used the blowdryer method, funnily enough.

And yeah, as you said, Eligos just seems like a "weird figure" when it comes to his hips, but that seems to be the general consensus now. Glad it's not just me! Chances are this is a widespread bit of weirdness like the Part 6 Jason figure with his wobbly hips...I could exchange him and most likely end up with the same exact issue (or worse!). But like I said, his hip seems to be firmly popped back into place and staying there (I gave it a few firm tugs last night and it didn't budge...get your mind out of the gutter!) and he stands just fine, so I'll just leave him be. BTW, I LOVE the articulated jaw. Overall, he's such an awesomely creepy figure. Look out, Chell! Last edited by Dolemite; 11-13-2016 at 07:45 AM.. |

What method I use depends on what I'm trying to accomplish. To un-stick joints I've been using the hair dryer...as you said, it's easier to target specific spots that way. But when I'm attempting to dissemble a figure - say, remove a hand, foot, forearm, etc. - I go with the hot water.

Agreed! I'll probably trade mine, but I wanna photograph him with Doctor Strange first.
