Someof those look cool, but I need to see the movie before I commit to anything Rogue One. I thought TFA was great, but I regretted by all of the STs and Phasma after I saw it.

I love the look and articulation of BS K-2SO. It's an amazing figure in hand. HOWEVER, unlike all my other figure on display, he's not stable and falls over all the time. I believe it's the curve of his foot and joints that are the culprit on mine. May need to exchange him or try Future floor polish.

I've seen this set in-store and I can tell you first-hand that the addition of webgear does not save this figure...if anything, it makes a bad figure worse. The webgear actually appears oversized, with the straps running down his chest bulging outwards and the (what I assume are) thermal detonators on his tummy nearly pointing forward instead of straight up, as if the plastic was warped.
Otherwise, it's the same lame figure. The proportions still look way too off, with the figure being too tall/skinny with really long limbs and a teeny, tiny head. Such a bummer, as the movie Death Trooper looks so cool. |

The scarif shore trooper feels like a poor fit. There is way more personality in the gear than the empire tolerates. It would make a better clone trooper before things went ick.

I'd love to see variants of the original classic 'human' stormtrooper. |

I want Hasbro to do more non-R1 OT Stormtroopers, including variants, in the Black Series. They haven't done any in the main line in a while, just an exclusive here and there. I wish Hasbro would do an updated Stormtrooper with a new sculpt, similar to their Vader 2.0. The helmet sculpt on the original just isn't great. A Battlefront-style Magmatrooper would be cool, too.

I read somewhere that the classic stormtrooper design was fine-tuned for the upcoming Rogue One movie. If the superb sculpt of the Stormtrooper helmet is any indication, we might look forward to some kind of re-release of a 'Classic Stormtrooper, Rogue One Version' in due course.
One wonders if the new movies might create an opportunity for variants with different types of armament and rank markings...! Definitely looking forward to the Snowtrooper. |

Honestly, from all the pictures and figures I've seen of the Death Trooper (including Hot Toys), it looks consistently tall and lanky, although just how tall or lanky varies depending on the execution (Hasbro's was a little too much). Still, even the Hot Toys figure and some stills from the movie look surprisingly tall and lanky. I've honestly been theorizing that the Death Troopers aren't human, but instead droids, kinda vaguely like Darktroopers.

Here's a side-by-side comparison of a Death Trooper from the movie and the Black Series figure in almost the same exact pose. It doesn't even look remotely the same to me...the dude on the left is clearly 100% human-sized, while the figure's arms and legs are so skinny he looks like he has polio, his head is a peanut, and he's way too lanky and tall. Sadly, Hasbro done fucked this one up.
Plus, Gareth Edwards, when talking about the origin of the idea for the Death Troopers, said "So we thought let’s try to find some six, seven foot tall people who are really thin..." |

Okay, I'll concede all of your points, as they're all valid. But at the same time, the Death Trooper Specialist doesn't have additional gear on his arms and legs to beef them up, and the arms and legs on the figure are waayyyy thinner. And there's no way you can argue that the head is in proportion to the body.

Hasbro seriously needs to re-release R2 as so far he was only ever in the very first wave. I'm hoping that we'll see a release for episode 8 and since he looked the same as he always has in episode 7 I'd imagine it would still just be a re-release.

EDIT (MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE MAIN PART OF THE POST): Ah, I see now that you were probably referring to the "all gold armed" 3PO mentioned by Skoob up there. He is referencing the OT C-3PO that is gold with silver leg, which is a Walgreens exclusive in the US. Last edited by Jeddostotle7; 11-24-2016 at 04:23 PM.. |

My local stores still haven't even gotten the Revan wave except for a Thinkgeek which is a bit out of the way. I think I'd like to get both Chirrut and Baze because they are a team but if just one of course it's gonna be Chirrut.
