Disclaimer: this is more of a referendum on the climate and times in which we live, than an indictment of anything anyone has written.
Are we really calling figs made in 2014 "old?" It's sad how we live in an age that only exists in the "here & now." A culture that seems to only appreciate what's current. Even here, on a toy aficionado website, where old and new toys are celebrated, it's common to read criticisms of the very figs that paved the path for their latest ("greatest" ??? - not always) iterations. I like new things as much as the next person, but if I regarded every non-2017 fig as so much superannuated tech, then I may as well not collect at all...maybe I'll start a rental service for figs. This way, for the more persnickety collectors, they can rotate out their aging collection in lieu of the most current and shiny baubles. lol I think that might actually make money! Hardy! Haw! Haw! ...again, this isn't aimed at anyone here, per se. Yesterday, I happened to read a comment that remarked about "how well" the 2014 Carnage had held up and I couldn't help scratching my head and thinking, "WTF?" |

that or any figure from any legends of that year wave would technically be 3 years old there isn't a problem with them though, however as we were discussing it's quite an annoyance seeing one of the figures from one of the previous waves from say 1-3 years ago still on the pegs in your local stores taking up space.
Yeah, I agree that seeing "old" figs on pegs is very annoying. I knew you weren't talking about the figs themselves, but rather that their literal shelf-life had come and gone...that's why I wanted to be clear that I hadn't missed what you guys were getting at...it just made me think of what I read about another 3-4 yr old fig and the absurdity of it being dated in any way. |

I got Sue at a Walgreens in LaVerne and the 2 pack at the Murfreesboro TRU, there's was still one set left on the shelves as I was heading out. Always glad to help out a TN collector.
Also, thanks every one for the kind welcoming words. |

Provocative, but a beautiful picture in many respects regardless...

^ Drive is like my new fav movie of all-time... would love a "driver" fig with his scorpion jacket. Too bad Blade Runner 2029 won't get any toys... maybe NECA will make something.
This guy is my fav ML fig to mess around with... so much fun. Wish I had two knifes like in your pic. I always have him knife fighting with my ML Cable... like in Under Seige with Tommy Lee Jones and Steven Seagal. LOL. |

FYI , YES Wal-Mart are getting the Spider Man Homecoming Legends.
My closest store got in an endcap/end of aisle display that had 2 cases worth in the display. Was able to pick up the 3 I did not get from Amazon a few weeks ago. The Moon Knight is soooo much better looking in person. The biggest problem I see is the usual one with Spidey figures. The white in the eyes. IF it is off it just throws off the whole head. My biggest gripe is I Still do not understand figures that come with no extras??? All 3 of these come with either extra heads , extra hands, weapons, or something, while others come with nothing. I am looking at you Logan figure!! Also I was able to snag a loose Enchantress for 4$ over the weekend and my first thought upon seeing her was to fix MJ's fist hand!! There is a very slight color difference, but not enough to make me care. |

I had a first! I have never seen (HASBRO) ML figures in my country until last week! Found remnants of 3 different 2016 waves in a toy store in our version of a shopping mall. I was dumbfounded. I've spent the better part of 10 years looking for them in hundreds of (well maybe 50) stores. I was about to buy all of them in support (even though I already had them all) until I saw the price. 36 euro a piece. That's more expensive than me buying and shipping them individually from the US. I said my farewells and wished them a happy home. TRU is not improving my mood with their exclusives that don't ship outside of the US. I wish they would allow for e-tailers like Dorkside or Kapow to sell them after a while. Or just, you know, ship them outside of the US. They have stores all over the world. Gosh those MJ and Dark Phoenix sets look good to me. Love the extra heads on Jean. And Cyke is in the costume I fondly remember. |

I did the same thing with my MJ, only I swapped hands out with Polaris instead. The skin tone is a perfect match, and the fisted hand actually looks pretty good on Lorna.
