Yeah, you guys just call fries chips and chips crisps. I know you only do it to emphasis the wonderful British accent(as you should), but you outta switch that around since if a chip is that thick, it ceases to be a chip, and becomes a chunk. The only good fries are crispy fries, also, so crisps would be an appropriate name for them. We'll start calling soccer football in exchange, and start calling American Football by its proper name: Dumb.
I had a point here, but I diverged from it. *stray ye-haw exits lips* Also, my doctor is perfectly fine with the voices in my head. In fact, I'm pretty sure he was the one who told me to stop taking my pills. Just a sec, he's talking to me. CCC. |

Glad to see that flare up of a buzz over that Capcom v Marvel has died down. Finally, here in the 3.75" Marvel appreciation thread we can talk everything except 3.75" Marvel appreciation.
Thanks HASBRO. A. Love the "old dog" comment. Sorry about the pic, I couldn't resist any longer. B. "Chips" aka fries are not really fries. More of what we called growing up "steak fries." Crisp on the outside, thick and fluffy centre. I myself am a fry man. I always stop at White Castle when I visit my brother first stop from the airport. (By the way...if I type center, autocorrect changed it to centre) I don't have a British accent (even though there are dozens, here they are all northern accents, much different to he villains play in movies) but I do enjoy the free healthcare and no murders. And 3.... out of boredom and lack of options, I actually watch cricket sometimes. I watched a match once that lasted three days and there was no winner in the end. Felt a lot like being a MARVEL 3.75" collector to be honest.

Saw the GotG TRU pack and was very underwhelmed. I never planned on getting it since I have all of them except for that Groot but seeing it in hand was borderline upsetting with the low quality. Peter's face was very sloppily painted so that his right eye was notably lower and lazier looking than the left (Peter Jason Voorhees maybe?). The Gamora was just riddled with sloppy paint apps, her individual figure was remarkably clean every time I found it but then this one had nothing painted in the proper lines and her face looked like she was terrified. Rocket and Groot were mostly fine but both of their faces were smeary and kinda blurry looking. Drax was the only figure that actually looked good.

^ Some of the paint apps on the 3.75" stuff are atrocious now... I mean the Spidey 2 packs were nice, but like the face paint on the Dr. Strange from the 2 pack was the worst I've ever seen.

See I was thinking/hoping that the improved paint app QC seen with the Spidey two packs was indicative of future releases but apparently not quite. Here's hoping that maybe this GotG pack was just rushed out lazily (it's already lazy enough that they're just repaints and minor kit-bashes) and future releases will be more careful. I'd especially like to see the 2 packs go on into the next movies so that we could get MCU Thanos in our scale for the Infinity War movies. Those could also be a nice way to get more of the MCU Avengers in our scale like Scarlet Witch and Vision.

Holy shit when did Rocket get that big in the comics?! The last time I read a Guardians comic he was still just raccoon-sized.

Nice collection pics, Pilkster. I'll give them a better look when I have more time. Quick question though, why do a bunch of your figs on display not have heads?.[/QUOTE] Either havnt got around to painting them yet or ive sold/traded the heads and waitimg for new casts to arrive. Thete are even figjres in there that are place holders waiting for customs in the WIP tray to be completed |
