Yeah. Sounds like 2018 at the earliest for 1st set, based on Randy's comments the last few months. It sounded like a sore subject whenever it was brought up.

So, is the Predator Hunter going to come with his Naginata? It's there in the display, but not in the official pictures...

Agreed, the F13th accessory pack has everything!
I like how they themed it with scenes for each of the Ultimate Jason figures. Since they did that, I wouldn't mind seeing some extra accessories for each of the Jason figures. A second mask for Part VI, a battle damaged hand for part IV, and a set of relaxed hands for part 3. As great as this is, the lack of any new F13 figures was a bummer. No new 7" or even Mego-style Jasons. I wonder if the Victor Miller rights battle is why we're only getting an accessory pack as of now? Maybe NECA is waiting to see how that plays out before spending the time and resources on new figures that might get canned. Side note: do you play the Friday the 13th game? |

NECA 14 CAP America. THey still cannot get the Chris Evans likeness down. I have yet to see a company do it. Hot toys came the closest.

So is that Raphael figure the exact same plus some extras? I almost started collecting this line, but that'd really rub me the wrong way if they released almost the same thing w/ more stuff not too far down the line.

It is the same figure. Randy explained the reasons behind it in his interview with Pixel Dan. Basically, they are doing this version of Raph to insure that Shredder & Foot Soldier will get made. Low cost to produce & therefore higher profit to spend on NEW figures.

Sucks about Raph. Fans who bought the Raph have to be pissed. I got lucky and did not get Raph yet so I am not pissed.
I do think NECA should make the clothing available to buy for 20-30 dollars for people who bought the original. It feels a bit unfair in that aspect. I understand that NECA needs to reuse the sculpts to make profits, and I accepted that. I am hoping we are able to get a Super Shredder in that Scale. |

One thing I don't want to hear anymore after this weekend is that a property doesn't have a big enough audience to get action figures. They're doing Devil's Backdone, which is about as obscure as you can get. Pan's Labyrinth I get, as they're great general creature designs.

I really do love the old days, when NECA was cranking out horror figures under the Cult Classics banner. I know they were less articulated, but I would rather have 7" statues of cool, creepy characters than no characters at all. Hell, it had the word CULT right in it. As in, small, loyal following. Now, if it doesn't fall into the "Mainstream Multi-Million Dollar-Making Cash Cow Classics" there's a good chance it will never get made. |

I agree. There are so many untapped horror properties out there with great character designs, but are deemed "too niche". Since these are all being sold under the Del Toro banner, as a collection, I guess I can see doing Devil's Backbone, as collectors like myself, who HAVE to have complete lines will buy them all.

Not only that, but something like a John Carpenter Signature Series could offer far more marketable than del Toro in my eyes. while I absolutely love his films, they've never actually caught on with US audiences (outside of Hellboy). Pacific Rim toy line stayed alive mainly because the toys were well done & they could redo characters so often.

A lot of the Carpenter movies, though, suffer from the likeness-rights virus.

As an aside, I love Devil's Backbone. The movie is soul-shaking and beautiful. But Santi isn't a character I expect to ever want to own. I'll be in for Pan's Labyrinth stuff, purely on my personal love for the film and the designs. The only other film I'd clamor for is Cronos, but that's even more obscure than Devil's Backbone.

Yeah, those would definitely be more marketable. Didn't a company talk about doing a Stephen King line years and years ago?
For over a decade, my most desired line is a Peter Jackson one. Not from the furry dwarf movies, but his classics, "Bad Taste", "Dead Alive", and "Meet the Feebles". Talk about non-marketable! |

Hell yeah, Lionel with the lawnmower and Father McGruder. I kick ass for the lord!

I do really like this figure as a stand alone figure. If I were only going to get a single figure this would be it because it was was a stand alone figure in the scene. I would pine for a Casey though. You could not set him with the other brothers in this attire because it would be out of place. I think it is cool but I still like the original release better. |

I love the accessory pack, especially for how it gives us pieces that work with each Jason so far released. Will need to grab some of their dynamic stands to pose Part VI suspended in water with the rock chained to his neck. Your suggestions for additional accessories are right on, too.

I have the F13th game, but I haven't played in a while. I'm waiting for the 1 player mode so I can practice before I go online again. I suck at it lol |

The label on the canister is supposed to read TGRI not TCRI...

TCRI is the original acronym from the comics and show. It was changed for the second film to TGRI.
