My mate's just texted me, Wave 5 is up for pre-order. Cases, singles or the 5 new figs available.

£14 now? Christ. Getting a bit expensive this hobby. Thank you for the heads up though sir, may bite the bullet.

Hmm... this is why I actually like Chinabay. Those prices are just too steep for what you actually get. If only Hasbro weren't so determined to rip us off, people may actually buy more of this scale.

Yeah £14 is a bit of a punch in the gut but about £2 of that is delivery. I thought it was Brexit effect prices but apparently the US RRP is $14.49 now.

Well, if it's true about China bay, may have to just deal with it I suppose. Nasty stuff. Have never really complained about the fairly moderate price hikes till now, but really, the piss is being taken! (Won't stop me paying it, just not happy. Similar to how an addict would grumble, then pay anyway)
Ahhhh, remember the good old days when the figs from China bay were; EARLY CHEAPER BETTER PAINT APPS Seriously, that was an excellent time. But they got wise unfortunately. Most of the recent figures they still want retail for. I remember back in the day seeing 3 pack Rogue for about £10 or less and thought "nah, that's too expensive. Will grab her another time" Silly me |

Yeah it is sad.
I don't collect other lines. I don't collect other scales. This is all I got really, as far as a collector bug being fulfilled. It was fun when the Marvel 3.75" Legends were at Sainsbury's and ASDA last year. Could actually see them in a store and "hunt" for the ones you wanted. I liked that aspect perhaps more than the enjoyment of owning them. I'm here to stay. I will just army build to 1,000 if they don't give me stuff I want. Never been a completist, in fact I am pretty happy that I will never own a Sampson figure. Just wish I had something to go after....

Haha yes "the hunt" sucks now. Seems to be the same for any toy range at the moment, online is the way to go as brick and mortar stores miss out on whole waves.

That is why we started doing Force Awakens figures this winter. Waited until his birthday New Year's Eve to watch it. Hadn't planned on buying the 5 poa stuff and passed it for months. Saw the film, we were hooked. Had to build a Stormtropper army and the main Resistance. Couldn't care about all the aliens and secondary stuff really.
Point is, it was so much fun going into a store and finding stuff. Then getting in the car and going to another store to look for more. It was a great time and something we will both remember. I doubt we will do Episode 8 stuff, save for more Stormtroopers. It was just a fleeting moment in our lives and I loved it.

Just saw the NEW Dr. Who announcement.... the 13th Doctor, and my son is MAD!!!!! He said, "rubbish, absolute rubbish!!!!"
So there goes that. Never got into the 12th and only watched a few but we were quite keen to watch the new one.... suppose that's over now! Yeah, the hunt is dead Mikey. Sucks. Oh well, we will get by. If I saw the new stuff in person I would buy it just to support it. As it is, not bothered really. If I get ot next month or 7 years from today, it is all the same. Besides, I'd rather army build any way!!!

Really? There were no X-Men waves at retail, the last Spidey wave never made it out over here did it? And I'm not talking specialist shops btw I mean regular toy shops, TRU, Entertainer, Argos, etc. The Legends groups I'm in on Facebook were stunned we got wave 1 of GOTG as the last wave out was for Civil War and that ended up on deep discount.

So it looks like no new 4 inch Legends from Hasbro this year. Nothing shown at SDCC and everything shown at NY Toy Fair has a release date or is already out. Boo.

I've just checked Argos and they have the Spidey wave in, didn't know that. No X-Men though and TRU still have the Red Skull Captain America wave in.

First UK preorder I've seen. Forbiddenplanet.com is always the highest too. Should be able to easily grab it at £22 or less very soon.
