For me, I want Bor and maybe Malekith, but I'm not willing to buy the set just for those two.

I agree that E. Weekly and the Panther trailer raised expectations significantly, but I would stop short of presupposing exactly what people were feeling at the BP con reveal without asking them first to at least develop some background perspective. That's not an implication that you're off base with your suggestion, it makes sense in the way of trying to remotely understand things. Rather, I'm postulating that we don't really know unless we ask or someone tells us. That was my reasoning for posting the comment to which you responded. I was reading misinterpretations of perfectly reasonable rationales for being underwhelmed by the BP wave. Misinterpretations that were categorizing well articulated viewpoints as some race-based conspiracy clap-trap. No one whose comments I read ever played a race-card scenario. Instead, that was being projected onto people that simply expressed that they'd hoped for more from the reveal.
For what it's worth...Black Panther, Black Bolt, and Namor is a pretty exciting line-up IMO. That said, I'm not the biggest MCU guy and if I were, I'd totally be crestfallen at that reveal. It's not that hard to empathize with others, you just have to be willing to put yourself in their shoes. Perhaps. My interpretation remains that it was a "hot crowd" on a Saturday night at SDCC, and they were ready to pop at the reveal of that awesome third figure for the wave, but it never came. And I say that because it's also how I felt watching the stream Live, but obviously I don't have polling or interviews to back up my impression and I can't say for sure that's what everyone was thinking (it's not like this was the State of the Union address and CNN was there conducting on-site surveys). I just think the pins were set up here but Hasbro threw a gutter ball. It's ok, though, stuff like Lizard and Apocalypse picked up the spare. But it wasn't just that, I don't think stuff like the Deadpool Monopoly set went over with the crowd, either. And that might be our fault for expecting nothing but "figures, figures, figures!", but I also think Hasbro used that stuff to fill out time on the panel because they really didn't have much to show for Marvel Legends, and most of the new reveals already showed up in the cases over the weekend. I really think if they worked on not tipping their hand so much, people might have looked at this panel a lot more favorably. |

For what it's worth, I'm in a marvel legends fb group and there were comments made by people who attended comic-con stating that the asgard set was plentiful there and that even on sunday there were a bunch available to the point where you could just walk up to the booth and buy one, no wait. In light of this, I suspect HTS will have a decent amount available on their site.

Question. I'm looking for a Bi-Beast to add to my Hulk display. I'm thinking of biting the bullet and getting the 6 inch video game one from the old Incredible Hulk movie line, but does anyone know what the scale is like on him?

I am super stoked at the amount of classic 70s/80s versions that Hasbro made! I'll be getting all of the vintage wave and probably selling off the recent versions that came out. That 80s Deathlok is a thing of beauty! The old TB version is so laughable by comparison. Looked like the pre 98lb weakling & now he's a buffed up Charles Atlas. Seeing the re-dos/re-releases of those VHTF SDCC exclusives of Black Bolt/Medusa/Luke Cage, hence with slight differences such as new head sculpt, paints, ect, gives me hope that they will re-release Gladiator in some future wave as that is a very expensive figure to get on ebay. And he is one of my all time top 15 favorite characters ever in the MU. And I missed out on those VHTF Hydra grunt soldiers, so will be buying up a few of these Army building 2 packs. I really hope the Hydra 2 packs sell well so we can get AIM/HAND/SHIELD/Skrulls/Kree/Hellfire club guards 2 packs in the near future. |

I'm still trying to find the image of the figure that isn't just taken from a photo at the panel.

You weren't the fish I expected to hook, but you win the "no-prize" nonetheless That'd do the trick...no love lost there I see... EDIT: @AFU No need for thanks, my man. Sometimes when you're not actively a part of a conversation/debate, you can see what's happening with a little more objectivity. The voiced opinions on the BP wave were getting twisted a little and I chimed in... Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 07-24-2017 at 01:04 PM.. |

I do want Odinson and Jane Foster Thor and I think the SDCC set is better than the ones that will come in the wave, but if I were to miss the set, at least I know that I can get those in the wave. Bor would be nice to have but he's not a huge draw for me. I have no interest in Ulik. I mean, if I get the set I will certainly keep him, but he's not a draw for me at all. |

Why bait that guy about race though? I don't see the appeal when it took up about 4 pages of petty bickering back and fourth.
The fire died down, why fan it? I myself don't care about race but I like providing information on back grounds of characters when someone doesn't seem to know. You say you knew, that's fine but it wasn't apparent in your post. If you don't care for the cut of my jib, it's best not to read what I post... I didn't read any comment in which someone said Hasbro didn't understand diversity, so your bringing it up represents a non-sequitur. Feel however you want to feel, it's your prerogative... |

Is there a way to make spoiler tags on a post?

Thanks Blue Marvel.
SPOILERS Anyway, relevant to the discussion (without opening that can of worms), the MCU panel at SDCC showed off some Black Panther footage, and apparently at one point Killmonger dons a suit that is described as looking similar to T'Challa's, but with gold coloring and a mask that resembles a jaguar or leopard. Given that two of the names on the leaked roster for this wave (Which has so far proven to be somewhat accurate) were "Leopard" and "Siberian Tiger," as well as the way movie figures often have slug names or placeholder titles in store registries to avoid spoilers (like the recent Thor wave), I'm guessing one of those two is actually Killmonger. |

Now I shall have to stab my eyes out b/c spoilers And yeah if one of the two is Killmonger that will help strengthen this wave quite a bit. I wonder if Klaw/Shuri will be in the wave or be a two pack? |

What I always do is put "spoilers" in all caps and bold around the spoilers which I still color silver to make them harder to read. I hope that book-ending the spoilers with big chunky words makes it easier for people to skip past that part if they wish to avoid any spoilers.
