While an official Stark is cool, I'll stick to my custom one.
One day I'll get my picture to not be sideways lol |

doesn't seem like a good way to draw in collectors..
i'd think a unique figure would def. make people purchase this annual subscription (even if they didn't want to). Why would you though, for a fairly simple kit bash. |

Rescue was unique. Well, except for the fact that the fig used the Extremis armor legs. I've also seen better Tony-heads, but I'm sure that won't prevent the fig from reaching $100 on eBay.

The Tie almost looks gold to me. So with a red shirt and a gold tie I would assume it's trying to make sure you know he's Iron Man. Spoiler! Lol

Recently went through a shit time and had to sell most of my Marvel Legends yesterday. I kept Most of my Movie ones (Ultron And Scarlet Witch had to go) but the Comic ones all I have left are around 10-15. Had to use the money for Car And House Bills. With all these new marvel legends coming out in the next year I am debating on restarting again but it's going to be hard cuz I'll have to go back and get the ones I've already sold off. Just saying having to sell your figures is a shit feeling. But had to pick House or Toys and House won

See, if it came with a swappable Iron Man hand, that would be a little more extra value, y'know?

Yes, I caught your point. Recuse was 'unique' kinda sorta. I wanted the fig until I spotted those Extremis armor legs (I said Iron Lad earlier, sorry - brain fart). Those legs are no bueno. I'm not sure how much that fig actually moved the needle, or, for that matter, how much a truly unique fig would move the needle on the subscription service (good stories would seem to serve better as a compelling force, but let me stop there before well familiar road gets retread). Even if it did net more subs, I'm not sure I'd want yet one more venue where a limited access fig gets instant scalper treatment on the secondary market. Those figures are priced even more ridiculously than some SDCC figs; each is near/at/above $100. More so than the SDCC exclusives, I expected the Marvel Unlimited figs to get regular releases. The fact that they haven't is pretty confusing.

Ha! I guess Blue Beetle would be Ringo since he really doesn't fit in.

Just found Jessica Jones, Elektra and Blade stuffed into the DC figures in a Wal-Mart end cap display when I picked up a Zoom figure to look at it. Apparently someone decided to hide them. Back to the Knights peg they go. For anyone in KC this is at the South K7 location in Olathe if you are interested.

got my A-force set yesterday..
Great packaging.. Sif - I don't know who she is and she looks a little cartoony. Aside from that, a decent figure. (bolstering up those asgardian ranks) Singularity - cool fig. Dont know much about her but i'll catch up when i read A-Force, when i get it. She-Hulk - Definitely (and i dont even know why) looks better in hand than the pics showed. it's actually a decent figure..though i'd have preferred some alternate costume. Loki - Wait..so this is a dude? Anyhow, design wise, I think this is the best looking figure of the set. The face looks GREAT and the costume design was done quite well in its conversion to paint and plastic. I even like the little "things" she has in her hair. Hands down, best looking figure to me. Monica R: I have a love/like relationship with. love the figure itself for several diff reasons. but i only LIKE the costume. I'm SOOO attached to her Nextwave look. (so much i bought a second M.R. just to have it customized for that look) Elsa: this is my favorite to "play with" (i dont' really play with my figures...eh-emmm). ;o) trying to get her in some of those nextwave jumping poses. TIGHT that they gave her the two shotguns...sweet!! Last edited by Augustus_Cole; 08-22-2017 at 02:27 PM.. |
