I have a few more customs. The first is the Danny Ketch Ghost Rider, made from Spider-Man Noir and a Vort head.
Second is Misty Knight. I got the head from Angry Nomad (who, sadly, doesn't seem to be making parts anymore) and the rest is Marauders. She's a bit of a WIP since I'm waiting for MTF to do Red, rolled up Valkyrie sleeves that I can paint for her cyborg arm. |

Also great Banshee figures you two!
This is the one circumstance where it is not only acceptable, but basically necessary. I think they look the biz-niss but I just can not see the big H going down that road. Well done though. And great ideas from everyone. This may be.one you will have to make yourselves. Simple X-Men body Head cast Paint or hire out the painting Buy the bigger figure and remove the fabric (or make your own) Assemble I have zero idea what the larger Banshee.is going for but the whole figure DIY should be in the $25-£40 range or have a pro make you one for $45 and up.

Greetings from the Collector. Welcome old guys and new. We have a little debate going on... Soft goods versus factory plastic? Because I think if used right, it looks great. To each his own..Here are a few of my articulated soft goods. Odin, Mysterio, Moleman, Ronin and Cloak. Thanks to the new guy for inspiring me to articulate my in progress nightcrawler feet. Just a little more sanding. Oh yeah, and I just had to showcase my Iron man and War machine! 2 of a kind and worth every penny. Well guys, Keep pumping out the customs and I'm going back to the Laboratory.
Sincerely, The Collector Oh Yeah, The capes are for sale! |

That's fantastic!
I'd love to see you make the Horseman of Apocalypse version of Banshee.

Just me but I prefer the classic green Banshee. Wouldn't mind Siryn either.

Outstanding customs Pilkster, Villano, and Creator!
Way to revive and inspire not just the thread but the imagination. Update us on what you think of Defenders, Redfox. Like you, i'm avoiding spoilers for Defenders and Thor:Ragnarok beyond the first trailers. Don't have Netflix but will watch it when we visit my brother, who does have it, next month. |

Will do! Unfortunately, "watching tonight" as turned into "watching tomorrow", so I'm gonna have to duck and weave through spoilers for at-least one more day.

Cloak could have really used a soft goods cape.
I would try to update mine like the Creator's but then I would loose the striped design too. He looks too much like the Shroud then. |

The soft goods capes look good for your collection, but for me it isn't my taste. I do like either Banshee, but am not an X-Men fan so I stopped at the "classic" 90's cartoon opening sequence figures and characters. If you go with his green look then you gotta go fully painted and that is cool and all, but even the best paint jobs can't really beat factory paint. That said, could get away with a an Iron Fist body maybe. Never matched them, just thinking off the top of my head. Since I am a classic guy I would go with the green version. Jason Abbadon, stopped by to join the Banshee convo- nice! Good to see you brother!!! This guy is a legend! Great collection, super knowledgeable, nice dude and has one of the greatest comic art collections going. This is only your third post in this thread for almost five years, stop by more often. You look thin, I'll make you some sandwiches. (doing my guilt trip mother voice)

Won a china-bay Fin Fang Foom auction last night! Very excited to finally obtain him. A little more than the last auction I watched but still way cheaper than any other FFF on ebay. Now we play the waiting game... lol. And a Kidpool for 3 bucks.

It's worth the wait, though. I mean, when you get that free shipping and VERY low price, it's no wonder China is giving Hasbro such a problem.

Its crazy and the same dealer has 10 dollar Visions and Maria Hills and a 6 inch spider-hulk, which I guess makes sense, I dont read all of the comics.

I have that Foom and he is PERFECT in every single way!!!!!! I am not getting into the whole Knock Off v Overflow Production debate;but to call it a knock off is doing it injustice.
I actually miss the days when Vision was rare. Sounds elitist but it was excited looking at collection pics and either seeing HIM or not seeing HIM. And Maria Hill figures is how I even came to become UKMU and aware of online toy threads. I am happy everyone can have them, but I do miss when they meant something......

Just a heads up - I do not know about Maria and FFF, but that China Vision is knock-off. Well done but still knock-off. Nevertheless if I did not have original I would probably buy it as well.
EDIT: Ninjaed!

I should get one of those Maria Hill's. I had about 11 authentic SDCC versions pass through my hands and on to other members. I think that would make me the guy. Not sure if I am ready to be the guy, but there it is. I always wanted a second Hill to use for Agent 13 - Sharon Carter, and maybe one for Quake - Daisy Johnson. I used a Black Widow Avengers film and had our own K Dub cast white boots and hands for them.
There were for sure a few differences in The Vision between them. They were minimal to the eye though. It was after you pop the head off or when "feel" the cape. Although the cape didn't have the tiny flecks in it for the minimal sparkle effect. I did have one of each of those. I remember reading somewhere about someone who had a proper Foom and one of these, and to that person they seemed identical. I believe I read about someone else who read that now that I recall, so take it with a grain of salt. Second hand information on the internet is a viable source, right? No new stuff on ChinaBay this time though. Cbay got shut down by the big H it seems. Although, I have noticed in my searches ALL the new 6" slowly popping in there. Pity about Cbay as we would all have the new Jessica Jones if you were will sing to pay $15 for her. Also no Goldtron army building on the cheap. Which is fine by me as I gave up on him and went with the two pack Secret Wars red version instead. Having a slow time finding those, so if any one has a spare and wants to help out old uncle UKMU just holla...

And I'm super disappointed that Nomad's no longer working on heads. He had such a great selection and seemed to regularly add more. Hopefully, he'll reopen his store one day. |
