I'm a big fan of the digital service, so the figure will just be an added bonus in my situation. I quite literally use the app all of the time and love having the MU at my fingertips.
EDIT: Just went and put the most recent Spider-Gwen issues in my off-line library for reading later. GAH, to really nail the look, that figure really needs the matching glasses!! Last edited by redfox; 08-22-2017 at 03:27 PM.. |

There is a matter of time that must pass, I think it's about 6 months, between the comic's initial store release and it's inclusion on the app. So the new comics in the shops won't be in the subscription until that extended period of time has passed. However, it does have quite the vast library of classic and modern comics, with comics added every week. Plenty enough to keep me busy in my free time.

I guess it's either spend $100 for a Marvel Unlimited subscription, or just spend the $100 in the aftermarket to get the figure. If you think about it, that's pretty fair.

As for Loki, Loki can be whatever he wants to be. How do you think he gave birth to Fenrir and Slepnir?

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to Starlord67 & Pravus Prime for filling me in about Marvel's take on the Valkyries.

Since he's the sole reason the Avengers came into being, I'd say he is about my favorite Marvel villain of all time (with Dr. Doom coming in as an extremely close second). |

As for the comics, they are also adding lots of further back catalog stuff every week. These generally tie in with new movies/shows so a lot of Doctor Strange stuff went up around the movie and such but a lot more gets added too. I would say they also have most if not all of the major arcs from the last 20 years if not more. |

Yeah, I think there's definitely a chance that the price point is used to pay for the seller's sub. Rescue is normally $150. A mark-up based on the seller's level of greed???

Plus Loki fathered Jormungandr and Hel with Angrboda. Speaking of Jormungandr, has he ever shown up in any recent Marvel comics? I know he's been referenced.

As a 90's guy SPidey was it. Venom and Carnage were awesome and all I ever wanted. As the years go by their over exposure has knocked them down a peg.
Once in a while I go back to comics to check out the happenings and I see Spider-man is no longer...well he just blurts out jokes randomly, people dying lets make a quick jab. Comedy is about timing and this 2016-17's version of Spidey is written as a bit of a hack. I do get a bit bored of the spiderman repaints, the constant repaints with same head sculpts. I would say I have way more than 100 spiderman figures easily as I bought many doubles. THe Pizza Spidey buck just leaves me wanting more articulation/hips and new Spidey eyes would help so much. I am really disliking the HAsbro double dipping of figures. The Tom Holland head should have come standard instead of a 2 pack. Do I really need a 4th Star Lord just to get Ego? Regarding favorite villains, mine will always be Dark Phoenix. I'm still baffled/relieved/extremely glad Hasbro released her in the recent two-pack. After Jean's release in the Juggernaut wave, I had really low expectations for anything else Phoenix-related for a long time.

My favorite Marvel villains are primarily X-Men-related, since I bought a house in that corner of the universe back in the 90s and haven't moved since.
Magneto Apocalypse Mr. Sinister Mystique Onslaught Cerebro's All-New All-Deadly X-Men The Nasty Boys The Maker (Ultimate Reed Richards) Doctor Doom (when written well) Dormammu Dirk Anger Baron Helmut Zemo Most of Spider-Man's rogues gallery, aside from the Goblins and the Symbiotes (I like the Symbiotes, but they're not my favorites, aside from Agent Venom and Mania) The original Thunderbolts (specifically as the Thunderbolts, not the Masters of Evil, since they're more interesting during that era) And, of course, any long-running thug-tier villains (IE Whirlwind, Blizzard, Dreadknight, Batroc, etc)

My favorite villain is the Green Goblin. Norman Osborn preferred, but I do like the stuff with Harry as well.
I know a lot of people hated when Norman came back, but as someone who became a Spider-Man fan through the 90's cartoon and wasn't even alive for those old stories the return was more than enough to get me to buy my first Spider-Man comics and keep buying them for the next twenty years. |

Just curious, I don't recall seeing it but has anyone tried putting the new MCU Thor's head on the Amazon box set AoU Thor? Just curious if it would fit...

It's cool how different comic characters have songs about them such as Deathlok (Megadeth's Psychotron) and (not Marvel) Judge Dredd. Anthrax references Dr Strange in the Giant but the song isn't about him the way I am the Law is straight up Judge Dredd.
