Producers of the show are also afraid that children might try to make themselves on fire like the Human Torch.

I have zero faith that the long awaited figure of the final member of the FF will be done in his correct scale, I expect the Thing to be done in Hulk like proportions because why the heck not, artists nowadays say to heck with their correct listed scale. Just wanna post a few pics of what a properly in scale Thing figure should look like. Ben Grimm is 6' tall, getting transformed into the Thing does not add hgt to the character ala the Hulk, just mass. The Hasbro BAF Ronan wave Thing is actually the best "in scale" Thing figure to date. They just made the head too small for the body and did not add an ab crunch or at least some sort of chest swivel articulation. I posted a couple of pics of a custom that utilizes the ML TB 2 Thing head on the Ronan BAF wave Hasbro Thing & painted the correct matching colors,IMO, this is the perfect classic 6' scale Thing that Hasbro needs to make. The MU version is a great figure & the tallest a 6' version should be when posed next to Cap. I'd prefer he be a tad smaller than Cap who is 6'2 but if the Hasbro Thing were to be a smidgen taller than Cap, I'd have no issue with that. What I don't wanna see is a Thing that is a full head Taller than Cap, which would make him be in the 7'2 scale. I've already decided that should Hasbro blow the hgt scale on their version of the Thing, that I'm just gonna buy the ML TB wave 2 version & the Ronan wave Thing & make my own in scale Thing figure like Vidmouse, the customizer of the Thing I posted did. Thing is not Hulk sized!

Man, how many times have you posted this exact same rant?
Either way, we won't know until we know, so what's the point of freaking out so much about it?

^ This is probably the last shot at getting a ML Thing though unless Marvel gets the movie rights back to F4 somehow. I think Thing will be smallish since he got to fit inside the box still.
And only saw Kurt Russell 2 pack at my TRU (and Target). Heck, even the Spidey and empty Iron-man helmet 2 pack is sold out at my TRU. My TRU sux monkey butt though. A nearby TRU Express is pretty awesome for finding ML singles... too bad they don't get the 2 pack exclusives at that location. |

I honestly couldn't care less as long as he isn't shorter than the rest of the team. As long as he is taller, I am happy regardless of whether or not he is scale. After all, my Galactus is not in scale. Thor is not in scale. Absorbing Man is sure as hell not in scale.
I'm honestly surprised that Wolverine is scaled properly.

But The Thing should be a bit larger than the average person. I don't mind him being Hulk sized. That's just me. |

Oh...we're back on this scale topic again...
Funny how despite the Legends version being closer to correct, people will throw the Select Venom into their Legends display, (despite it being way out of scale,) and no one bats an eye. Hasbro announces a Legends Thing, tells us it will be in correct scale, (and although we haven't seen a picture of it yet,) everyone is losing their minds! Dammit...I read that in Heath Ledger's voice as I typed it. Smh... Anyways, this dead horse needs less beatings. I'll be back when we move on... Oh...and the new Black Panther trailer dropped. I hope that helps... Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 10-16-2017 at 07:52 AM.. |

That Black Panther trailer looks awesome! I'm super stoked for it. I'm still a little cold on how they've chosen to visually design Killmonger's costume, but that's just my preference for the comic version. I totally understand why they went the route they did, at least as my guesses are from the trailer, and I even like the reasons, I just don't really like the design.
Everything else though is a win. ANd yeah, with that design being a retouched Black Panther costume, we're definitely getting that. THere's no way Hasbro will be passing on such an easy repaint. |

Yeah, you are all right, screw the hgt scales that Marvel makes for all their MU characters, just draw them as giants just cuz too heck with adhering to their listed hgts. Funny, how both in the classic MU scale & the more modern MU scale , they both list the Thing as being a 6 footer, but screw it, make em Hulk sized.

Yeah, that Venom was outstanding. Venom is usually drawn bigger, but I have yet to see a Carnage with a Legends display??? Conspiracy????
