I used to love Slade but then they went and made hiM Into some whackdoo born again religious zealot nutloaf leading a team of holy avengers in black n white outfits.
Hopefully that ends soon cause i miss the immortal bad ass killing machine with a code of honor... Not jimmy swaggart with weapons. |

Honestly the similarities between Slade and Wade are only superficial. Yes Deadpool was clearly made with Deathstroke's image and line of work copied over but their backgrounds and more importantly personalities are vastly different. I think it's just easier to get into reading Deathstroke because he is a serious character with a more traditional basis.
Side note not directed at anyone in specific: it amuses me that I've seen and heard people say they don't like or "don't get" Deadpool but then admit to liking the movie which pretty much captures the essence of the character. The movie didn't reinvent the character, if anything it is one of the more faithful comic movie character adaptations. I always liked that Harley Quinn was with Joker. That's one of many problems I have with the new 52/Rebirth Dc comics. |

It started long before new 52. It literally started in BTAS where HQ was introduced.

She always went back to him. They were together until his death in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker

Fun Fact: the original 'comedic big mouth' was not deadfool, it was Plastic Man...

She did, until she didn't. That's the point. It's the natural development of her realizing he is abusing her. It's hard for women to leave in that situation, and they often return, but ideally eventually they leave for good which is what HQ has done. The more recent issues of her solo comic dealing with this very issue were some of the best of its run.

If the X3 series 3 had the face of the Galactus one...he'd be my favorite. I really like the suit but not that face.

Got the Defenders box set yesterday.
The box is very cool, so I will be keeping that. I have no used for DD so that's been gifted, shame they didn't include Colleen Wing, as it would have increased its value for money. I didn't need another Iron Fist, but since I didn't get the previous one, I'm happy with him ( my favourite the Toybiz one still). I sold my SDCC Luke, so I'm happy for this one, but I took his gauntlets off, too look more street. I'm pleasantly surprised with Jewel, even if it uses Silk's head. Face paint etc, makes her feel different enough, but she looks great in flying poses. No idea why we needed Jewel instead of comic JJ, since that outfit only appears in flashbacks. All figures legs were warped in the package, so they took a hot jacuzzi to soften and reposition those knees. Also the hands in both Luke and Danny came out way to easy, and I have some paint spillage specially in Jewel's back are quite bad. |

So I guess with the Defenders set, 2017 is done for ML (thou I'm sure BP wave or SPM wave will come out before Xmas). I was bored and decided to do some statistics.
In total 103 figures were released, including variants. Of those, 32 were figures never made before plus Sunfire and Spider-Man 2099, which had wildly different outfits before. 28 were females, but only 15 have never been done before. 8 waves were released. 6 waves of 7 figures (not including BAFs) and two of 6 figures. 1 vintage wave of 5 figures. 3 box-sets. 7 two-packs. 8 singles exclusives. That's not bad at all, have I missed any ? |

So theoretically for 2018 the 8 waves should be:
BLACK PANTHER: 3 comic, 4 mcu, plus mcu BAF. Wer know 4. SPIDER-MAN: 7figs, Lizard BAF. All have been revealed. DEADPOOL: 7 figs. Sasquatch BAF. We know 6. Is seventh Warpath? X-MEN: 7 figs. Apocalypse BAF. We know 5. Rumoured Magneto and Sabretooth. AVENGERS: big ticket movie. Should have two waves with 7 figs each. We only know 3 comic ones so far. There should be quite a few movie figures and at least 4 comic figures movie. Thanos MCU, is pretty much a given. There should be another Spider-man wave, and a Ant-man and Wasp wave, if not that, maybe another X-men instead of Ant-man. We also have the Riders, and so far a Klaw/Shuri two-pack. WHAT ARE YOUR PREDICTIONS? |

Nice work there on all those details.
What do you mean about 32 never released, then you say including Sunfire and SM2099 in different outfits? There was a 2099 figure a couple years ago in the Ultimate Green Goblin wave, I think. I would love to see New Mutants wave. Also It seemed like they were kind of hinting\liked the idea of a Vintage X-Men wave. That would be awesome to get that with angel, cyclops X-Facor, jubilee etc. Last edited by Byrnes; 10-18-2017 at 06:34 AM.. |

Finally getting Man-thing pieced together makes me really excited for Sasquatch. I think it is going to be a great figure. It will go great with Man-thing. Is it too much to hope that they will release a white variant of that figure?

I think it's more likely this is another six figure wave like with the Gladiator Hulk. Don't quote me on it or anything but I suspect we're getting three movie figures. Panther himself (obviously), Killmonger and then someone else, either Klaw or the Dora Milaje.

Oh right, I always forget about AoA Sunfire even though I have that figure. Weird they never made anymore from that series.

Magik and Cannonball can be perfectly be sold on their own. |

I was on The Fwoosh forums a couple of weeks ago, and someone posted a leaked list of the remaining MCU Legends. They were Black Panther, Killmonger, and Nakia. It didn’t say what the BAF will be, but I’m seriously assuming it’s film related. If this list turns out to be true, I hope they have interchangeable heads for Nakia with Okoye so we can army build the Dora Milaje.
Klaw, comic version will come in a two pack with Black Panther Shuri. |

Today I got the Amazon Age of Ultron 4 pack for my birthday. (sorry I can't be bothered to post pics since photobucket abandoned us)
I like the set. I think my favorite figure is Thor, he looks really good, which is crazy because his on-screen look in the film is my least favorite. The only thing is there is a lot of warpage on the legs of the figures, and I cannot for the life of me get on of the Thor's arms to go down, I'm afraid of breaking it. I'd rank the figures as such: 1. Thor 2. Banner 3. Black Widow 4. Hawkeye I was really hoping to transfer the new quiver to my old Hawkeye but alas they changed the peg size...

If I'm being honest with myself, what I really want is a X-Force Deadpool. Since the Marvel Legends XFDP has been take off of Hasbro Toy Shop, I'll probably pick up the Mezco PX version or the 12" Marvel Legends figure to scratch that X-Force itch. |
