Just got back from a toy show here in SA, Tx. Got a SDCC Dreadknight figure for $24, loose Cyclops from the Dark Phoenix 2 pack for $14, extra Cooperhead for $5 for a custom that I'm working on. Saw the Hydra 2 packs at the show, but ain't spending $60 on it. I'll just wait it out till they start hitting TRU in abundance as I want at least 6 of those for Army building.

Came back from my last OTR run to find my Chinabay Ronan waiting for me, and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with the quality of some of the bootlegs China is putting out these days. My figure had tight joints all around, and some surprisingly crisp paint apps all over. The hammer was a bit more muddled, but it was something I could live with considering the price I paid (about 26 dollars shipped.) While the articulation could be a bit better, it wasn't great on the original figure either, and I'm happy to finally have this guy at a fraction of the stupidity that scalpers seem to think he's worth. I'm sure that like Ares, we will eventually be getting a re-release of this guy with some tweaks, but until then, I'm happy to have him in my collection, and can vouch for anyone who might be on the fence about him. It was worth it!

I haven't seen any still of Hela with facepaint. I'm pondering repainting the head without it.

The Winter Soldier version (that one with the Nick Fury coat) fits perfectly without any work needed. Zola is a sweet figure. I had a hell of a time finding the Arnim torso, since it was a running change with the RS version. Quote:

That is an awesome pic! Herr Skull looks cool sporting the Hydra grunt buck. Lot better than wearing the IM armor. Worse fig? Ms Marvel khan, WTF! |

For me it's gonna be either Spidey-UK or the recent Young Thor. Spidey-UK is too simple and boring for me and then the Young Thor just looks lame every time I see it, he looks like a doofus with the way his shirt appears to be sort of just painted on and the face he's making. I don't think either of these are outright bad toys but they are my picks for least good Legends so far this year.

So I got all happy since I was able to order 2 of the Hydra 2-packs from Toys R Us...or at least I thought, until TRU sent me an email telling me that they're unavailable.
Why are they so bad at fulfilling preorders? |

How is the plastic? Is it very brittle and hollow or more sturdy? Ronan is the only BAF I never finished so I am very tempted... |

I actually had no issue putting the head on the Hydra soldier body when I tried it last night. It's tight, but it fits. But, I prefer the Iron Man armor look. I like Skull better wearing black than green.

Very impressed with Death's Head II. Today i finally popped him open, looked him up and down and i'm very pleased with the size, paint app on him and everything. Now all we need is a DH I to place next to him. I placed him on a stand because i had some extras, however he didn't need it.

That Ronan looks great! I had no idea they've done that. Now how does one knows if to go for the 10$ version or the 30$? Also can those pieces be interchanged with the original pieces, since I have the body, one arm and the hammer?
How is the plastic? Is it very brittle and hollow or more sturdy? Ronan is the only BAF I never finished so I am very tempted... As far as the parts being interchangeable, I don't see why not, but the figure is already built complete, so I'm not sure why you would want to. I'm not sure though in the long run though, as the few peices of him that I had were traded away a long time ago. The plastic for the figure was on par with the same type of plastic that Hasbro was using at that time. It's consistent and not brittle. The joints were very tight, almost scary tight on the legs as the ball joints feel like a ratchet style. They moved though without any sorts of miss or heating. I recommend it, and if you don't mind the knowledge of having a KO in your collection, I'd say go for it. In the end, it beats dumping a hundred bucks or more on the original. |

He was a Chinabay purchase. The seller was viperskingdom, who I have purchased from before on several occasions and have never had an issue with. The price has jumped a little bit since I purchased though. When I first picked him up near the end of September, it was for 28 dollars with shipping. The price has since jumped up a bit, to about 40 dollars. He has also sold a boatload of them since then, which probably justifies that. Still a good deal if you ask me.

That gold guy from the Guardians of the Galaxy wave 2 is the worst ML fig this year IMO.

Oh I completely forgot that Ex Nihilo even happened, I guess then I have to add him to my picks for "worst" since he's so damn forgettable.
