Just like the title says. I saw a wwe figure the other day and wondered why his head didn't match the box art. Just saw the same figure and found out the.one I saw yesterday was a factory error. Can I put it on eBay and retire?

It's highly variable, mostly depending on the market.
For instance, you might find one or two collectors who are interested in that type of thing for the Marvel Universe line, but then again, you might not. I'd say buy it, throw it on eBay as a factory error or 'Variant', and if it doesn't sell in 30 days, return it. |

No problem.
It's likely it's not worth any more than the price you paid, sometimes even less, but it's worth a 30 day gamble. |

In my experience, factory errors are typically only worth the retail price you paid for them. The majority of collector's out there are looking for 100% perfect figures, especially if they are collecting for mint on card purposes.
Factory errors are fun, and can be a great conversation piece, but I don't know too many people who would go out of their way to buy one, even at retail cost.

Anything factory error is worth more than retail. It depends mostly on the market and what kind of error. Ive seen pink skirt Harley Quinn errors go on ebay for 75$ so thats about 25$ more than a normal Harley Quinn. I bet you could get minimum of 10$ profit on the figure depending on who the figures should be and the error head.

1000's of figures are packages everyday, there's bound to be the wrong figure put in the wrong package. Sometimes depending on the rarity of the figure or desireability can greatly add to the resale value, because it's an error may add to the overall value. Example I've seen a ML series 6 Deadpool in a Juggernaut package sell for $300.

See? It's completely dependent on the collector. Some see them as more valuable, some see them as less.
I think it also has to do with how many of that error were made. For some reason, errors that are onezies/twozies aren't sought after at all, while errors that are temporarily available worldwide become collectors items. Personally, I don't regret putting back the one-legged Darkhawk I found. |

Regardless of the error, it is always a gamble to find someone willing to pay a premium for a factory error. But if you want to try your luck, who are we to stop you?

The most valuable would be either prototype figures, or 1 of's where you got figures that shouldn't of been released or gets pulled shortly after. There was a seller on ebay who had an old set of Iron Man Toybiz figures from like 95-97 range that weren't suppose to be released and had the entire set moc asking $20k is it worth it probably not, but to some collector or person who can blow that kinda $$ without thinking about it then sure. Marketvalue is all relative to what the demand is, the quantity and quality of said item and the overall initial cost. Factor in the reaction to said factors and that will drive the overall value, ie pay $10 for a toy charge $100 because he's rare and hard to find, people start paying that, every seller would be stupid not to sell the same toy for that price, which then generates a "going rate" for the figure, but if other sellers sell it cheaper or nobody buys it then others sellers have to adjust their pricing or be stuck with unwanted toys.

Now i'm not trying to sell this figure, but i am curious what the value might be. Squall Leonhert. This figure is still in its original packaging, but the box itself is kind of beat up. the figure is in mint condition with all its stuff. When i took it out to pose him with the rest i noticed the joints, where his biceps and thighs are suppose to swivall, were just lines. Im really curious to find the value of this . Particularly because its a Play Arts figure. Im sure you know they detail they put into thier work.

Sounds like you found a repacked item and not a factory error. I'd try getting my money back if possible unless someone else has more insight on the subject

I went to Wal-Mart and found a Marvel Legend figure of Marvel's Rage. He is in the line with Gamora, Ant-Man, Dare Devil, Living Laser, Vision and Armored Spider-man. I don't know much about the character but as I walked by I saw the package. It was Rage but with Armored Spider-man's head. I looked to see if the package was previously opened and re-taped but it wasn't. It was the original packaging and everything. I thought that someone had bought the figures and switched heads as a joke but nope...it's real. Luckily, it was on clearance for $9 so I bought it. I'll post a pic when I get the chance.

I just bought a Randy Orton Wrestlemania 34 action figure from Ebay. My box has WWE and Mattel on it and looks official. I was wondering if the boxes from Canada have different packing from the US? I noticed that there were 2 different looking boxes from all different sellers. Most of the Canada ones had my packing. Also on the figures title belt the "W" in the middle was right but the "w" 's on either side was wrong= meaning looks like a "m". Does this mean fake or misprint?

Factory errors are often worth less than the normal figure
