If it were me I'd only sell it in the $30 range, maybe going up to $40 if it's a sizeable figure. Hasbro themselves acknowledge that they're not really worth any more than a regular figure since they sold the TRU Groot and the Walmart Thanos for base msrp so I'd say if you want to sell a BAF off and not be akin to scalpers then I'd range somewhere from $30 to $40. That way it's just like you're selling a deluxe figure and not charging the price of damn near half of the entire wave.

I agree with the above. Once prices on BAF settle down after the initial rush they usually go for about 30-50 ish depending on the figure. EN Sabah makes a good point though with Walmart Thanos, Hasbro shows that they are worth the same as a regular figure. When I think about it that way it is kind of annoying. Why don't they just give collectors what they Want with exclusives like Thanos out of all BAF?
I get it though, it's about the money pretty crumby way to treat you base buyers. Last edited by Bearjew; 03-22-2018 at 03:04 PM.. |

I came home to most of the Lizard wave and the rest of the Infinity War waves on my porch. I’m still waiting on this guy in Chicago to ship my Taskmaster off EBay. I’m a bit worried I’ve been scammed, they won’t respond to my messages.

Maybe But I doubt they will give him individual finger and thumb articulation. If he dose not come with that then that is a very easy pass for me.

Start the auction at whatever price you're willing to sell it for in case you only get one bid. If you start an auction out high you will scare off potential bidders. I recently listed the Okoye B-A-F arms that came with Namor for $3 or $4 and they sold for nearly $15. Start at a reasonable price to attract bidders, and undercut other sellers if you can afford it. You'll get a lot of eyes on your listing if you're not trying to gouge people and yours is one of the least expensive options. Schedule your auction for the evening after people have gotten off work and eaten dinner. You need to consider how much it will cost to ship too. Shipping rates have gone up recently and you need to account for how much you spend on shipping materials like tape, bubble mailers ECT. People get butthurt over shipping, but you should charge enough for shipping that you don't take a loss on it. I'm not a scalper. I just sell unwanted B-A-F parts and outdated or unwanted figures from multipacks mostly, but I love it when bidders get carried away in a bidding war in one of my auctions. It makes the figures cheaper for me. I made $12 off the Thanos B-A-F leg that came with Taskmaster recently, which means I got my Taskmaster for $8. Hope that helps. Good luck! |

If you sell it on EBay, make sure you set your price reasonably.
....then charge $17.65 for shipping |

BTW, if anyone needs OKoye's arms and right leg, let me know. The post office returned them to me for having improper postage (because apparently their machine doesn't know what it is doing) yesterday. Yeah, yesterday. They were shipped to DarkToyLord on Feb 26th and they just returned them now. Of course, he doesn't need them anymore, so they are up for grabs. lol Considering how much ebay now charges its sellers now to charge for shipping, that makes sense. :-p

That would be far superior to joints that look unnatural and will grow loose over time.

Yes.
Swappable hands is always preferable to finger joints IMO. It makesholding things a nightmare. |

I really don't think he was putting down anything, simply offering an alternative.

I'm actually with Kain on this one. Finger and toe joints rarely look aesthetically pleasing on MLs. Even Nightcrawler, the best candidate for that level of articulation, looks awkward with them.

This was the figure that started it all for me. Saw him on discount in my LCBS (I think wave 6 was just coming out) and had to have him as the nostalgia-feels for 90s TAS were so strong.
"It's cool, I'll just get the X-Men." "... and some villains to go with them." "Ooh, that FF set looks nice - and I love me some Doom..." "Doesn't really seem right to have FF & X-Men but no Spidey/Knights or Avengers..." "B A F... What is tha... Oh!" "I need MORE sentinels..." |

Post office prices are getting crazy... On the topic of articulated fingers, I have a large number of ToyBiz figures, and I would have to agree that articulated fingers are a bit much. They can work well enough on larger figures, however I would still prefer sculpted hands. Sometimes it can be a nightmare trying to get a figure to hold it's accessories properly with articulated fingers where a sculpted hand would do just fine. My series 4 Punisher is a prime example of this, as it takes a lot of work to place a gun in his hand and get it to stay there when moving the figure. Even my RoboCop Hot Toys figure struggles to hold his Auto-9 pistol thanks to his individually articulated fingers, and that figure is a 1/6 scale beast.
