Picked up this set for about $15 after all of the discounts(50% off & then an extra 20% at the register) from my local TRU.

Speaking of customs, I was able to get my hands on another Netflix wave Blade, and took some formula cues from SymbiSpidey's recent custom to flesh out my ultimate version of the character. As he said, the Noir body is a dream for kitbashers, and with it, we can finally have the Blade I think many of us expected and wanted in the first place.
Didn't add a whole lot here paint wise, just changed the glasses for a more classic look, with some accessory swaps and a little bit of retooling on the jacket to give the arms a bit more range of movement. I've had a lot of fun making this guy over the years, but with this one, I think I can finally put him to bed... |

My local store is one of the TRU's that announced it was closing a month back. Most of the stock is somewhere between 40%-60% off. Action figures however are @ 50% off, but the shelves are about decimated now. Yesterday they were also running an additional 20% off of the already discounted overall total price.

My Target was having a great sale on all their DC, Marvel, and black series stuff. I was able to get the 12" Symbiote for $13. Most everything there was clearanced on top of their bogo sale. That's where I found submariner.
They had Shatterstar too then all the usuals. Gamestop had all the Thanos BAF wave. |

They use the up to discount to get people in the door, it's a not a broad stroke discount.
They know key categories that people will still pay more for such as action figures, collectibles, and dolls. |

The hoopla (always a fun word) is meant for us folks who don't have the BAF. In my case I simply didn't actually want any figures from that wave and I'm sure there are folks who didn't get into Legends until after that wave had already gone by so for our collective we have hoopla to dish around this figure because it's the BAF Thanos with snazzier paint at retail price. Just like the TRU Groot was made for people who didn't get/complete the BAF.
Good explanation. Lmao.

Two things:
1. The new standard red Deadpool looks so much better than the previous release, I love the sculpt. I hate to have to buy another one though. Maybe I'll wait for it to go on sale or something. I feel like a movie version is on the horizon though, in a year or so. That's the version I truly crave. 2. For those who own Spider-Man Noir, is the trench coat rubbery? I'm worried it'll be that awful stiff material used on Nick Fury from that SHIELD 3 pack.

Thanks! Your kitbash helped me figure out what was missing from my own!
As awesome as that would be...Fame already belongs to Skeletor... "Rhythm Nation" maybe? That would be right up Blade's alley... Quote:
Like Ken said, it's a cast of the head sculpt from the unreleased Blade. This one I purchased off of eBay a while back. |

So does anyone know when the next convention where we might get more reveals is? I'm very interested to see if Hasbro's release schedule is gonna be affected by the demise of TRU.

Geez. Waaaaaay to slick looking for my tastes... like he is going to a fancy restaurant or something. Comic Thanos looks more intimidating IMO. |

Wow, try to help out folks and this is the response I get.
$59.99 CDN retail price at Toys R Us Canada plus 13% tax = $67.79 CDN Shipping from Canada to the US via Canada Post / USPS with tracking & insurance = $25 CDN $92.79 CDN total shipped 1 CDN = 0.78 USD $72.38 USD total cost on my end. Yep, I'm really being greedy. Anyways, too late; sold them all already on kijiji at cost to local toy collectors who were having difficult finding them locally. Glad to hear others will benefit from this exclusive being distributed to other stores in the US. |

Well this was unexpected. Stopped by TRU while I was out and they had a lone Scarlet Witch & Vision set on the shelf. Snagged for $36.
