Those Nick Fury customs KICK BUTT!
I'm slowly getting back into custom figures after a couple of years doing mainly Star Wars models, but here's what I was up to before my break- Some of the modern GI Joe figures can be converted into kickass SHIELD specialists- like Stalker here... Ready to kick ass! I also took the excellent Renegades Snake Eyes (my alltime favorite) and upgraded him into an agent of SHIELD and BPRD- 'cause nothing's cooler than a secret agent that's also a mute, horribly scarred, monster-hunting ninja badass! I just painted his forearms black, added the SHIELD emblem on his chest and the BPRD emblems to both arms and then went over the black areas some, darkening them. I also added some Steel paint to his knee and boot armor. I Dullcoated him, greatly adding to his overall look- nothing makes a fig look better than Dullcoat- it takes off that plastic shine and really gives the fig a lookof having cloth on, instead of being a hunk of shiny plastic. I painted those damn leg screws as well...SO annoying that those never get paint on Joe figs! Next is my favorite custom to date- a SHIELD armored trooper- taking the basic look of the Mandroids from Avengers: EMH, I used a deep Dive iron Man armor, added machine guns to the search light dimples on the gauntlets, a new unibeam, insane super gatling gun on his back, missiles on his shoulder and a new helmet from a Halo ODST micro figure thingier. Then I went nuts with painting and weathering and added a bunch of decals and such...and a comms antenna. Here he is next to Snake Eyes- you can really tell it's the right scale to hold someone 1:18th scale!

Well, my pics aren't uploading, so I'll just say how great it is to see people still customizing Marvel Universe!

That Terrace is...wow. Exceptional.
Is that a Ares body? Great as he looks, that Morg is just amazing! It's the figure we should have gotten in a HERALDS SDCC set...

Wow, this place really came to life. Nice! I'll get to more later since I wasn't going to jump on to post until over the weekend as I'm already halfway into the next batch (got a few done while waiting on the epoxy to cure and dry from this last batch) but this had me rolling...
Well done, Nitelife!!! I'm still laughing. |

Appreciate the comments all.
I've had those stupid foam ball halves for years and couldn't think of a thing to do with them. I got them originally to make a Kang Time Chair but then Pilk had that sweet 3D printed one so they just sat around taking up space. I was literally just about to finally toss them in the trash when I saw Terrax in progress. From there it all started with: "Hmm. I wonder..." |

Nice Ultimate Nick Fury, Creator!
Very nice! If I didn't make so many figures I'd love a setup like that. Last edited by Mordiganne; 07-13-2018 at 04:44 PM.. |

Hello all!
Mordi: amazing batch. I like how you gift us with batches, with big detailed breakdowns. Your work is always outstanding. I scroll past the text, look at the pictures, then go back and read. Impressive, always. I had Pilk make me all the heralds a long time ago and I love them. Look excellent flying/standing around the devourer of worlds! Creator: beautiful. You have a very distinct style, I dig it. Love the way you keep/add the articulation. Always a pleasure to see your work. Ross: that display is top notch! Originally I wanted something like that, but using shelving. Just neat long rows for each and every figure, looks so clean and nice. But then I thought about army building/larger figures/vehicles etc. That’s how I ended up with what I have now. Jason: oooohhhh, yep seen before but my eyes appreciate the hell out of that mandroid. Such a nice piece! Maybe make a few more... a squad maybe... with the leader unmasked... ultramarines terminator warhammer 40,000 style Nothing major to report on my end. Army building, mainly. Not much else to do at the moment. Tidying up the display a bit. Got a gi joe green mech on the way, always wanted one, for hydra of course. The cave/toy room has been a big mess for a while, accessories/figures/packaging all over the place. Now all tidy and looking like new again, well, new plus loads more figures It’s so nice to be able to enjoy the space again, it’s my escape to play some games, watch some tv/film, ogle the lovely figures. Didn’t want to go in there when it was in such a state, glad it’s all sorted. If anyone has any spare/cheap kree soldiers from the 2 pack, I’m on the lookout. Have cash and figs to trade. I created some space for them, as you do. A few picture, because pictures are always good. No editing to these ones, just straight pictures from my phone. I may of blinded a few people with my A.I.M. display last time! Haha. Keep collecting, keep customising, keep tweaking, keep it going team!!! |

Oscar,
Great display, loving it! It would be cool to see some up close shots of the customs you have in there. Saw some good Heralds of Galactus and more! JD |

Looks great. Jason, LOVE that Mandroid. It is so sick. Oscar, keep posting that collection. Its the best ever. I love the Stan next to the Watcher. I love the Doombots. I love all the dinosaurs with Ka-Zar and Shanna. All the Deadpool customs are nuts, like T-Ray, Montgomery, Blind Al. Is that A Night Raven converted to a Blackbird? What kind of motorcycle did you give to Ghost Rider? I'm still jealous of your Heroes for Hire (i've said that before) |
