I hope Mattel remember how to make translucent accessories for Kyle Rayner.

The Mutant Leader is ugly, unattractive, pointless and unknown outsideof hardcore geeks. So no consumer interest. But he has the best joints and least bad paint of the wave. His sculpt is accurate even if the character is hideous. But the others? Dear lord! I have glue fingerprints all over the Doomed Superman. Supergirls paint is just awful and her limbs may as well be immobile. We will not speak of the horrid blobby painted thing that I lovingly call "Downs Syndrome Robin". Oh and the finished Doomsday BAF (whatever) is rather awful itself. Lousy articulation everywhere. Thin paint. Gappy glue seams. Just yech!. I am a little hopeful for the newer stuff. I recently picked up the Batwoman from a newer wave (I assume I was drunk at the time) and she is actually a pretty nice figure. Good smooth movement. Decent sculpt. Paint is better that before. Still not ML or import quality. BUt not as bad as previous. |

I’m honestly surprised the Multiverse figures seem to be improving while DCC quality looks to be on the decline. The Aquaman display and other figures Mattel showed at SDCC and the exclusive set all look purdy damn good imo, particularly when you look at the past couple years worth of subpar Multiverse figures and what seemed like largely unwanted TDKR and Bat-family stuff clogging pegs. The Essentials lino otoh, looks questionable at best, but consistency never seemed like it’s been at the forefront of what DCC does so no big surprise there.
Glad to see a couple folks digging Batwoman though as I’ve been on the fence with her for awhile. The unmasked head still doesn’t do a damn thing for me but I think I’ll snatch her up. |

I'm not thinking it's 100% Mattels fault. In my Area Wal-Mart and Target do not keep Putting Newer Stuff out. I haven't Seen a New DC Multiverse Item since Last Summer, Summer 2017. King Shark Wave I've never Seen. In fact Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom Stuff hit the Shelves and I'm Still seeing Left over Suicide Squad, Wave 1, and 2. Meanwhile I've noticed a Huge Issue at all 4 local Wal-Mart's and alerted Mattel and Hasbro. Action Figures are being Put in the Wrong packages and Sold at Full Price. I'm talking about a Character from 2012 in a 2018 box.

The unmasked head is disappointing, the eyes are a bit wonky and I don't think it's just the paint, it seems the sculpt is a bit off. But the helmeted head is perfect and despite not being as well articulated as a Marvel Legends it still looks really good

Finally saw the Clayface wave last week at two different Targets. I passed on the figures for now, but I'm definitely interested in this line. The lack of pretty much any information had nearly put it out of existence for me, but then this year's SDCC and Mattel's spread there have definitely regained my attention. Looking forward to more.

I saw 2 of Jessica Cruz GL this past week ( and Two Face also). A target store near me had a full case of the Clayface line, and a Wal mart near me had just gotten a full case. I did see another Wal Mart that had gotten a case but the Two Face and GL were gone there.

Just a heads up. 5 Below as the Wonder woman Ares wave at $5/piece. I picke dthem up and built Ares... I think I overpaid... a lot. This might be the worst BAF type figure I've ever seen. Teeny Tiny scrawny legs under the broad badly articulated Ares torso. And the ankles can't support the weight of the thing.
