Artic is correct. The fuselage is a playmate star trek next gen shuttle craft. The wings and tail overhang is from a Avengers age of Ultron blueprints papercraft quinjet kit. I replaced the shuttle's single cockpit seat with a loose two-seater cockpit from a joe vehicle and added the black seats in the back from a 1/18 scale diecast car to increase the occupancy to 8 normal sized superhumans. I bought the seats loose on ebay, so I don't known what vehicles they came off. Used detail from the papercraft fuselage and some paint to try and blend the parts together. Pasted some instrument panel details into the cockpit and passenger compartment printed from googled images. Added strips of foam for addition seatbelts. Used the handle bars from Zartan's flying cycle vehicle for the flight control.
I was disappointed with the quinjet they gave us that only had room for one pilot and one paasenger. This was a cheap and easy way to make my own. I considered using polystyrene or legos for the wings, but decided not to since I am no Adam Savage or a lego expert. |

My cyber-Monday Collector’s Vault arrived today (finally)... Howard doesn’t stand up and Lockjaw has an ironically loose jaw, but over all I like it. The Vault version of the Collector has a more vibrant metallic paint job with a much crisper applcation, particularly around the boot and glove area.
Prime shipping was supposed to be two days, and Fed Ex lost my package for almost two weeks, so I received a refund... and then my box showed up. All in all, a quality purchase for the bargain price of “free”. |

Goldengreg, can you ask Steve Evans and anyone else at Hasbro, if they can consider the following? Feel free to just show them this post,
Quote:
Good news. Steve Evans of the Star Wars line announced an "Archive" 3.75 Vintage Collection! Its basically re-releases "mostly" for Europe. "Mostly" may mean at least 1 domestic U.S. retailer might get "Archive" 3.75 figures.
So if Evans can do an "Archive" 3.75 line can Bobby Vala also bring back his own "Archive" 3.75 Vintage Collection? He's part of Hasbro's Marvel team who came up with the Toy Biz Vintage Collection. Bobby can include old and new figures in such a line. He's a big G.I Joe fan. As added incentive - maybe add a Joe - in each wave to double down on that nostalgia! Like Toy Biz, its Joe too who was part of the Marvel 1990s. This should be done in time for the new Snake Eyes film! Can someone do a photoshop of Snake Eyes on a Toy Biz card? |
