Okay I gotcha. If the 12" line were still running they could have given us Ant-Man from Ant-Man and Wasp and that would have served nicely as an actually big Ant-Man. The Toybiz Giant-Man would still be a bit bigger but such an offer from Hasbro would have been a one-off purchase as opposed to a BAF and it would've been better articulated than any BAF Hasbro would give us.

So China went and made a 1/6 scale figure of movie Venom. It looks like a weird Playarts Kai retool of some sort,...but I dig the movie accurate headsculpt, tendril weapon accessories and the shiny plastic they used. Kinda weird they opted to place the spider on the chest and back, but they also did the veins as well.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/HC-TOY-1-6-...5c27%7Ciid%3A1 Too bad Hasbro opted to skip the movie version for the Venom wave, or even this upcoming Kingpin wave. I would have much preferred that over that horrid looking Black Suit Spidey they have coming up. |

I am not sure what is going on because the line has had no releases in a year.....so there is a contradiction. |

Note: What do you think is wave of 2018? My pick would be the Sp//dr wave...Too me, every figure in that wave is solid, Electra being the sleeper pick, she is very well done..The worst figure in that wave is the BAF, but too me, one of my favorites BAF’s of this year!

Honest to goodness...it's a toss-up between the Sasquatch wave and the SPI\>DRP?! wave for me. Both waves had strong line-ups and contained only one figure in each I wasn't too thrilled about, though Sasquatch was the superior BAF in that respect by far.
The worst wave was easily the MCU Thanos one. Ugly figures and an ugly BAF that was replaced just 3 or 4 months later by the Studios 10th version. When TaskMaster and King Cobra are the shining stars of the wave...something is off. |

Off the top of my head I'd probably agree with this. The House of M spidey is the weakest individual of the wave and that's really just because he's another lazy pizza spidey repaint. The rest of the wave came out really well and the character selection was solid. The only figure I even actually got from the wave was Doc Ock but I'm still singing praise for the others based on having seen them in person and through other people's pictures.

Wave of the year the Apocalyse wave, IMO. Though as good as he was he wasn’t the BAF of the year. But the Sauron wave was overall less impressive.

Finally figured out a use for undies deadpool. Headpool finally has a body.....again.
Really the sauron wave was a hit to me....the only two misses were the undies dp and xmen dp. They shoulda used the xmen blue and orange outfit for wade and included copycat over undies dp.

Man, choosing "Wave of the Year" is tough. So much great product this year, and so many factors to weigh (e.g., character selection, QC execution, BAF choice, etc). Taking all that into account I'd still have to say the Apocalypse wave is my choice. The BAF is one I've wanted since I started collecting ML 2 years ago. I adore punk Storm to no end and was ecstatic to add Sabretooth, Psylocke, Multiple Man, Gladiator, and a Magneto to my collection.
My choice for best overall BAF, though, has to go to Lizard. And my best single fig is probably Mysterio. |

While I'll have to make a separate post for my Top Ten, I'll agree that the Apocalypse wave is probably my overall favorite of the year. Great selection of characters and a fantastic BAF. The only other wave to come close, in its entirety, would be the SP//dr wave.

The X-Men wave, for the 3rd year in a row, is my top Marvel Legends wave. I'm likely biased though because I want more X-Men stuff than anything else.

Apocalypse wave for best wave, but probably Sauron for best BAF.

Sp//dr was hands down one of the worst BAFs ever, and as such, if the BAF sucks, it can't be the best wave of the year in my book.
Sauron is a great BAF, but the wave sucked ass with only two figures worth buying. Never picked up either Avengers wave and didn't give a damn about the BP BAF either. As such, the defacto winner is the Apocalypse wave. Apocalypse was just down right amazing and the wave was full of great figures with Storm, Wolverine, Psylocke, Gladiator, and Sabertooth. The only thing I'd say Hasbro needs to do is fix their distribution shit. There is no reason I should be seeing figures in stores 2 months before the websites I preorder from get them instock and there is no excuse for why the Spider-Man waves are rarely showing up in stores, if at all. It's bullshit. Hell, the Wolverine with the motorcycle has yet to show up in stores and I had to go to another state just to get the Walmart Thanos. I've still yet to see another Pyslocke around here so I can try to get one that doesn't have a paint issue, but my Targets and Walmarts recently restocked the Warlock wave. Does this mean this time next year they'll start to restock to the Apocalypse wave? The only figures that were easy to obtain were the Walgreens ones (well, the Marvel ones, still waiting for the Empire general dudes to show up for Star Wars).

Other than giving her the proper blue for her outfit, what could they have done better?

and the Multi-Man with that ten year old jacket was kind effortless on Hasbro’s part

and giving us another Gladiator was great, but no creativity on Hasbro part to put in a new figure even with using the same body mold,

and while Apocalypse is a great BAF, his articulation could have been better...
