Is that what it is? A War Machine repaint? I looked at it earlier, but couldn't place what it was.

That's the speculation (the twitter post is all we've got from HT), from the side armor piece, it looks like the side armor from the HT War Machine Mark 3! It looks like they must have redesigned the chest also to remove the arc reactor and stuff. Super interesting if it's a comic deco. Too many teases with this and the Krennic one!

This is the comparison shot that's floating around. Those side vent things look the same. |

This has me really intrigued, because this is the first Marvel figure Hot Toys is doing that isn't directly based on a movie or game, and while the War Machine armor in the comics has been largely heavily inspired by the movie suits for a while now (including when Punisher was wearing the armor), none of them have really used this specific movie War Machine armor for inspiration, even at their most "directly tracing movie stills"-est, meaning they're not directly following any specific source material for this figure, which makes me wonder: if they give this an unhelmeted head, will it be a generic-ish comic-style Punisher head, or will it be a Jon Bernthal likeness?

Up for preorder at places, $392. Quite a bit but less than my $400 threshold I thought it would hit. New head, some remolding, and looks amazing. Will preorder this one.

To date, what's Hot Toys' ratio of Iron Man to War Machine?

I want this, but it's such a huge hit to the wallet. Good thing I have some Sideshow Rewards dollars to throw at it.

It does look great, really great, but I'm not spending $400 on a 12" figure. I have to draw the line somewhere.
