I feel like I say that for this line all the time, and we get some pretty incredible stuff. That’s the thing that has me leaning towards it being true. I can’t speak to their rumor track record, but Fwoosh is a pretty reputable place. Guess we’ll find out soon!
If it’s true, that Jeff Goldblum figure is wish list type stuff. As I said, nothing surprises me. Hasbro has had the license for over a decade now, right? Roughly. My shelves are full of obscure characters I thought never had any chance. Give them enough time and line support and anyone has a shot. Sure, there's something to be said for quality over quantity, but a universe as massive as the Marvel Universe, to me, requires the ability to build a massive collection. Import companies are pretty much only going to give you several versions of the same crop of A-list, maybe B-list characters. They're not going to put out an import-quality figure of, say, Grey Gargoyle because there's absolutely no market for it. But with Hasbro? Literally nobody is off-limits. |

You nailed it. That’s why I rarely bother with the other stuff. Until Figuarts starts doing Spider-Ham and Elsa Bloodstone and Silver Surfer, I’m pretty content with sticking to Legends. Legends just seems to get me.
Figuarts look great, don’t get me wrong. But it’s been stated already in many eloquent ways. Last edited by Brownfinger; 01-20-2019 at 01:05 AM.. |

The biggest problem with "anti-PC" folks such as yourself isn't that you don't sugarcoat things, it's that your perception of reality is so twisted by whatever ridiculousness you've been led to believe that you can't see why people take issue with what you're saying.

There is an incredible irony in bigots being bigots in a forum topic about toys of fictional social justice warriors.

And the lessons weren't even sly about it. Here's Stan Lee demonstrating very overtly for many millions of children that prejudice is evil, compassion will overcome and that the human spirit is indomitable. Every struggle had a parallel, ideally hoping to help a little in forming empathy. This isn't exactly Shakespeare on the page, but it's not hard to cut through and feel the purity of the writer's intent. Stan always said he wanted his stories to reflect the world around us. And a lot of these unwashed knobs want to salute his legacy without understanding how deeply he cared and wanted to impart that same feeling on to younger generations. So, they're older now. Still obsessed with heroes and villains in the world, completely unable to identify which is which. |

I'm feeling like I missed some stuff. Thanks for posting that Stan's Soapbox. It's a good one.
Anyway, back to that Fwoosh link from a few pages ago. That's some great news! I hope we see a lot of it at Toy Fair next month! |

I've never ever once denied not being an asshole. In fact, I embrace it because I will not PC myself just to not offend someone. If someone gets offended, that's their problem, not mine. I was raised to speak my mind and not sugar coat reality. It's just the way I am. Now did I lose my cool earlier? Most definitely, so for that, I'm sorry.
If you have facts it is ok to offend someone, but if you only have opinions and stereotypes, you are just a tool. Can we get back to action figures now? Has anyone seen the Kingpin wave anywhere besides gamestop yet? I don't like paying the premium price they charge. |

Not just paint, but also some articulation. I really don't understand why Hasbro cut out the ab crunch and waist swivel when we have seen figures with 6 arms be fine it before.
Of course, they also just retooled the ASM2 mold, so that doesn't help matters either since the 6 armed version is not supposed to have the textures on his blue. On the other hand, I love the colors they used. Maybe they can finally give us a Romita Sr Spidey with those colors in the near future.

I was done with this, as we all probably should be at this point..BUT... this is the TRUEST SHIT... THIS is EVERYTHING.... hence my initial...Stevie Wonder comment..smh..... Quote:
I actually do already have a John Stewart head and that Superman head. I have that Black Vulcan figure..but his look/vibe didn't quite feel right for what i was doing. BUT..you did give me an idea to look for a Mr. Terrific head to see how that might work. The will smith head was another one that didn't "feel right" to me. i don't get it.. i know what an NPC is.. but i still don't get it..

i just see pcism as an excuse for the creatively inept ( cough BENDIS cough ) to ruin whats pre-established instead of actually using the grey matter bewteen their ears to come up with new ideas and characters and get them as established characters.
Back to toys (where i usually am, damn you bm for getting my brain thinking again. Haha) i saw one of those archive fetts and a black cat. Black cat had derpy and cross eyes so passed and i have to say i dont like the recolors of fett. His wrist gauntlets and helmet are too light against his vest and the white underlay the armor pads are on is too white as opposed to the grey it was on the og version.

Swaths of the anti-pc crowd believe pc individuals are unable to think for themselves, similar to RPG NPCs. It’s just another layer of the delusion. What is often absent from the flawed logic is how many toxic and backward views they’ve internalized with no thought given to the validity of those beliefs. Essentially, they’re Bizarros and just like their namesakes they comically believe they’re Supermen. Anti-pc is just code for ‘I want the right to abuse the sensibilities of others and spout racist, sexist and generally ignorant things without empirical evidence to back up any of the shit that falls out my mouth.’
Meh, they substitute actual ‘edge’ with dimwitted ignorance and consider themselves martyrs when they’re simply clowns. different and interesting

I think it’s cool. The themes are obvious and organized understatement is tres chique.

Saw the Capt Marvel figures at Walmart yesterday. Zero desire to own any of them. If Sam Jackson had come with Jules from Pulp fiction Afro head, I would have bought it...
