Wait that looks like a splinter figure behind Ralph in the last photo.

Looks like they put a lot of accessories with this to make it an army builder type figure. Seems they are hedging their bets by hoping for hardcore fans will buy doubles with non-hardcore fans possibly passing on this. I like that. Makes it worth while. I doubt they will announce this at 7" scale until well after it has been released. They know there are people that will pass on this if a 7" scale option is known to exist. It's also possible that a 7" scale release hinges on the 1/4" scale selling well first.

These turtle figures look SO good! NECA is killing it. I have the gamestop 7" figs on pre-order, but some people have posted on twitter Gamestop putting them out early so I might swing by and see if I can get lucky.
I have not collected any of the 12" figs, but they look real good as well! If they weren't $125 each I might pick them up. |

Wait, do you mean 3-foot soldiers or 3 Foot soldiers?

Holy shitzu that looks great! They nailed the cape too. I'm jumping in on the 7" figures, not these 18" figures, so hopefully the foot and shredder get made at the smaller scale at some point too.

Well, I am pleasantly surprised by how much I like this. I think it turned out phenomenal. I have to admit that they did pretty good on the likeness. I know it isn't perfect but if you pull up the real shredder face things like his actual eyelid details are pretty close (little details like that). It is super hard to get likeness perfect. They did well. The issue I have is with the color choices. I think that throws it off way more than the sculpt. The figure is really pale and has lots of grey wash or something. The metal I wish was more metallic like the movie. The cape is perfection. I doubt I would display him with it most of the time though because I feel like the roof standoff is way more iconic. However, having the option is nice. Really good job they did here. NECA is ridiculous at what they do. Nothing else is even comparable.
Now if they could just get the 7" TMNT figures to me we will be doing great. If they don't I am going to get back on here and express how bad I think this figure is and say all my 1/4 inch NECA figures legs broke off. Last edited by Bearjew; 02-05-2019 at 10:01 AM.. |

In the 90's movie, there were some scenes where the head of Shredder looked disproportionately bigger. For better or for worse, that seems to have crossed over into the figure having a relatively large looking head too. It was fine when I saw it as a kid. Now its a bit hard to not notice.

I was hoping that Shredder would comr with a premutated Splinter in a cage. But otherwise, uts neat. I think i like the fiit clan member more.

Had to youtube a clip of shredder's cape. For almost 30yrs I've always thought it was black, with just the lighting shining on a waffle type surface. Seriously, had no idea it was tiger striped. haha.
Who thinks they'll eventually re-release him with chrome armor down the road, like how they gave Raph his trench? |

NECA on twitter has stated they already have put so much time into the 1/4 line that they are glad to finally start getting out shredder and the foot clan soldiers. I would guess that next since they already have the molds they would work on getting on shredder and the foot in the 1/12 sized line prolly not till 2020 tho unfortunately.
After that, while I'm sure there are collectors that collect 1 size or the other, or BOTH!, I wish NECA would just stick to 1 sized line. It would help them get newer figures out quicker if they didn't have to work on both scales. Atleast I think? I'd like them to work on Casey Jones, April O'Neil, Splinter heck all of the Turtles 2 figures...Super Shredder, Tanka, Razar. |

I didnt realize movie Shredder only had the claw like weapon one hand until today.
Also, NECA did 1/4 scale first because its what they were allowed to do with the license. The smaller scale was in response to the lines success. We wouldnt habe 7inch scale without the 1/4 scale. Plus, it would suck for 1/4 scale collectors if they dropped that line to do smaller figures that, at this time, have only been released as exclusives at a con and gamestop, the ladder of which has really dropped the ball in getting people their stuff. |

The body and texture work looks fantastic as always, but I think the head is a little too big and the eyes look off. I’m OK with that though because this is likely still in the prototype stages and the final version will fix some of these imperfections.
But who am I kidding? I, like many of you are only interested in the 7in scale. I don’t care how long I have to wait, as long as I get at least one Shredder and six Foot Clan Ninja’s. I bet when these get shrunken down, NECA is going to go the route of the NYCC 2016 Mirage Foot Clan Set and release Shredder along with three other Foot Ninjas with their respective weapons in addition to all the weapons that came on the weapons rack in an exclusive 4-Pack. |

dont be so sure about getting these in 7" scale, i may just get this shredder now because its the first accurate TMNT movie shredder in any scale and ive wanted a figure of this longer than i wanted the turtles.
dont be so confident that NECA will shrink down the rest of what they have, unless some new behind the scenes stuff is going on ..... Target is already getting the Arcade/Cartoon molds in 2-packs, so maybe we will eventually see the rest of the 1990 stuff in 7" form, its just that some of these responses are kind of rubbing me the wrong way, kind of entitled or something............. |

You know you could have just did 1 post right and multi quoted people? Not sure why you had to do 3 posts in a row? Trying to get your post count up? Seems kind of petty.
And telling people to re-read a whole thread? Lol. Glad you have that kind of time on your hands. You could just follow NECA toys on twitter and get all your up to date info on what figures and what scales they plan on making. |

I considered passing on the Foot Clan member, but the shear number of accessories sold me on it. Not enough to get multiple though. Not rich enough for that. I do hope it comes to 7 inch scale in a multipack, but I also kmow that if no one buys the larger one there is no chance of the smaller one. So all the people passing because they want it in a smaller scale are shooting themselves in the foot, no pun intended. Last edited by Whovian2018; 02-12-2019 at 06:52 PM.. |
