Banshee is definitely in need of an update. I've done two- original judt needed repaint because he was so washed out- and a collar. Pretty much just did the same to another and popped the head and wings on a X-Suit Wolverine, and also gave him a collar. Edit- and said nothing about Moira.lol. she is a Hellcat body with a bit of sculpted line work and belt. Found the jacket and arms on a Dr.Who figure (some doctor with an alien in his torso) and then random lady hands... the head wad a ghostbuster that I added a larger hairdo and hair clip to... Ran into these two today at Target, along with a freshly stocked Cull Obsidian wave.
This set is a very easy pass for me as I was never a fan of this Kraven costume, and have no need for yet ANOTHER black costumed Spider-Man. That beat up Peter head is also WAY to comfortable looking to have a black eye and internal bleeding the way it is. Poor choice by Hasbro for going with that head sculpt again for this set. To those of you that wanted it though...start checking out your Targets. They are out there! |

Note: That Kraven from previous was is getting price, especially MOC, glad I jumped when I had the chance to get him, even out of package, because he is a great figure...

As collects, I think we all have are limits that why some of us have 10 Spider-Mans instead of 15 (Joke!)...Back to my point, no offense to other collectors, but I do feel the pass Kraven figure, that the recent Target 2 Pack one is base off of, is better. I like the Kraven, but why did they have to give him outrageous grin, which seems offsetting to me. Could they have included another head at least! Anyway, if the pack goes on clearance, I’m in, but a full (fool, ha) price, easy pass.
Note: That Kraven from previous was is getting price, especially MOC, glad I jumped when I had the chance to get him, even out of package, because he is a great figure... re: Kraven - he was teetering on madness in "The Last Hunt," a story that many fans relish and the impetus for this remake...it certainly wasn't for black suit Spidey. Hasbro apparently felt they'd missed the mark with the previous iteration - they were right - Kraven's baseline is insanity making the former version particularly lackluster with his placid expression. I like my Kravens to be non-xanax'ed. But to each his (or her) own... EDIT Target has the Kraven 2 pack, but it's street dated for Monday. They only have 4. lol And they won't hold it for me because they can only do that for 24hrs. However, I can call Monday morning to have it held, so there's an upside. Poor Banshee... I wonder if he is forever cursed to have a screaming headsculpt for all of his action figures. Maybe if Hasbro ever gives him a redo it will come with multiple headsculpts and also give us a neutral expression headsculpt.

Error by lowanbing, on Flickr
Here's one i found at WalMart in Bonnie Lake Wa. the other day... lolz... Walked it over to the toy manager (unpacking boxes with some other employees) and before i could say anything she said "That's the way it's supposed to be- that's how they all came"... Now, this should have been a simple "Hey- someone ripped you off, turn this in to loss prevention so no one buys this crap" But instead it turned into me arguing with Walmart employees for maybe 10min trying to explain this was Kylo Ren with a NECA 300 Immortal head (i only figured out the head in the last few minutes- it was driving me crazy trying to think what it was) Showed her the picture on the box- showed her the missing Axe (there was a couple generic swords thrown in the box that they assured me were the legitimate pieces) Showed her the toy on Walmart.com Eventually she stopped responding and just said "Everyone of them was the same and she had unpacked them herself" I wanted to say "You're full of shit you stupid fuck!" But instead told her she has a team member then that is getting into the cases because this is NOT right. Employee B looked at the box and said "Well there are no bubbles in the tape- if it had been tampered with then there would be bubbles..." I don't think I've ever actually shook my head and laughed at someone before... it was like trying to point out a basic math error in a workbook to a teacher and them insisting that if the book says 2+2=5 then that is the absolute truth... Eventually I just had to give up because it was turning into me ranting like a mad person while she just sat there shaking her head... As far as "Why do I care" (which someone on FB asked when i posted this) Because this is theft. and it's easily reported, and if it goes unreported either someone gets screwed buying this thing or the store never restocks because they will forever have one in stock that no one will ever buy... SMH.. |
