Package variant collector, prepare yourselves. A packaging variant for the Autobot Skids & Mudflap (Ice Cream Truck) deluxe-class figures has been sighted at an independent toy store in Malaysia. The variant features the figures in robot mode instead of the ice cream truck halves seen in release thus far. There is no confirmation if this is just a regional variant or if future assortment revisions will feature this change in packaging. Check out the new variant by clicking on the thumbnail to the left.

Entertainment Earth has posted a pre-order for the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen NEST Battle Pack, which we already knew would contain repaints of Cannon Bumblebee and Soundwave. The pre-order features the first look at the packaging, which reveals that the official names of the repaints are Battlefield Bumblebee and Infiltration Soundwave. The biggest surprise, however, is that the NEST Battle Pack will feature an offer for an exclusive figure. The box indicates that the offer details are on the side panel of the box, which can not be seen in the image. Could this be the return of the mail-away Transformers? Check out the packaging by clicking on the thumbnail to the left.

The Arker has put up images of a Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Scout Class redeco. This new version of Ransack opts for a brighter red deco with white areas for his Decepticon symbols, and resembles the style of the plane flown by the legendary Red Baron! Check out the images by clicking on the title of this story and then talk about it on our 2005 boards.

Hot on the heels of the "Red Baron Ransack" images, 2005 Boards member Vansch shows us an image of another new Revenge of the Fallen Scout Class toy. This one is a redeco of Dune Runner, done as a homage to the Generation 1 Autobot Beachcomber! At the moment there's only a vehicle mode picture, which you can check out by clicking on the thumbnail to the left.

Got a spare $20 laying around that you just have to spend? Are you looking at your regular old blankets in your home and just wishing they would offer you something more? Are you wishing those blankets were more than meets the eye?
Well look no further! Because FYE is now offering the masses a Transformers themed blanket with sleeves. This is not actually a Snuggie branded product, so it may not be of the same high end material adorning many Wal-Mart shelves across the USA, but imitation is the highest form of flattery right? |

Yizhi of TF08.net and S250 have shared with us some images of a new item in the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen RPMs range. Robot Powered Machines Jetfire is the latest new character to join the RPMs line up, giving Starscream someone to have a dogfight with. To prove he's an Autobot, Jetfire is quite literally "'armless" in robot mode!
Check out images of both the robot etching and the SR-78 Blackbird vehicle by clicking on the title of this thread. |

An auction of Taobao has appeared, which features our first look at an orange Decepticon repaint of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Dirt Boss from the Scout-Class assortment. The designers apparently got inspiration for this repaint from a Go-Bots figure named Spoons, who featured the same orange deco on MR-34 markings. Check out images of the figure in both modes by clicking the thumbnail to the left.

Home Media Magazine is reporting that Transformers Revenge of the Fallen has become the top selling home entertainment release of the year, selling 7.5 million units in it's first week. The Blu-Ray release has become the top selling Blu-Ray title of 2009, selling 1.2 million copies. The third accolade the Transformers sequel received is for topping day 1 sales, which saw 2 million copies leave store shelves for new homes (one fourth of that was in Blu-Ray format).
The article goes on to say: "Transformers easily debuted at No. 1 on all three charts: the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart, Home Media Magazine’s rental chart and the Nielsen VideoScan Blu-ray Disc sales chart." TFW member GenZhao has posted images of figures that can only be described as "prototypes of toys in development". So what the hell are these things? Who knows, could the red car be a Human Alliance prototype, and if so, what if it's not a Revenge of The Fallen release, but a G1 character, possibly in the Classics/Universe line? For that matter, what if it's not a Human Alliance figure but a deluxe Classics Jazz? Or Drift?
Could the grey ground based vehicle be a scout or legends figure? The styling is reminiscent of War Within... Hit that discuss button below to join the ongoing speculation! |

The Arker has posted a pair of in package images of the upcoming Hasbro release of Revenge of the Fallen's Legends Class Devastator. Devastator was previously available in Japan only as seven individually available components - now US based fans without access to imports can also look forward to owning and enjoying this small on size, big on fun version of the Decepticon combiner super warrior. As the images show he comes in a box similar to his Supreme class brother that shows off the awesome combined form. Check out the images by clicking on the link above or by clicking on the title of this story to view our mirror of the images.

Yizhi521 of TF08.net has shared with us the first in-hand image of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Voyager Mindwipe. At present, only the jet mode is shown, but this new image shows that Mindwipe looks every bit as good in hand as he does in the official images that we have seen previously. Our Transformers Resources section has today hit 4000 entries!
That's 4000 pages dedicated to Transformers toys, from Generation 1 Optimus Prime back in 1984, through to the brand new, recently announced Masterpiece Grimlock (USA Version). And what better way to celebrate our milestone 4000th entry than with a milestone Transformer himself? We are therefore proud to announce that resource entry 4000 is the (bizarrely overlooked until now?) 20th Anniversary Edition Optimus Prime! I'd like to take this opportunity to say a big "thank you" to all of our Content Staff, who have worked extremely hard to bring us up to 4000 entries, and are already hard at work on the next big update. I would like to especially thank ams, Deefuzz, flywheels, Hiro Prime, Joe Moore, kenucme, SmokescreenGT, SydneyY, Super_Megatron, Tim Formas, trebleshot, TreKain, and XJunky for their work all throughout the process of creating and filling in the pages of our Resources section. Without their help we would not have the comprehensive resource that you can currently enjoy. I would also like to thank the rest of our content contributors and staff past and present, and everyone who has contributed their own resources, information time and energy to making this the best resource for Transformers toys that it can be. So be sure to check out everyone's hard work, and be sure to check back often as we work toward the next major update for our Resources section! Here's to the next 1000 entries and the 5000 milestone! |

The Arker has posted some in hand images of the upcoming Transformers Revenge of the Fallen NEST Battle pack. In addition to the previously seen front of box image, The Arker has posted a back of box image which reveals the set's bio and the tech specs for the included Battlefield Bumblebee and Infiltration Soundwave toys.
The bio for the set, typed out by 2005 Boards member Bgrngod, reads as follows: When SOUNDWAVE discovered the human operatives of the N.E.S.T. GLOBAL ALLIANCE tracking him with their primitive radar, he decided to take care of the intrusion personally. He plummets through the atmosphere, his wings glowing red from the heat of reentry. Little does he know, however, that the humans' primary defender - BUMBLEBEE - waits below him, his cannons charged, and eager for a fight. Frustratingly, no images of the side panel are yet shown, leaving us none the wiser to the identity of the mysterious exclusive figure on offer. Click on the links below to visit the pages for these two toys in our Transformers Resources section for the tech specs, as well as official images and other information: Revenge of the Fallen Main Line Autobots - Battlefield Bumblebee Revenge of the Fallen Main Line Decepticons - Infiltration Soundwave |

The Arker has also posted some images of the upcoming Transformers Animated Activators Armor Up Optimus Prime in package. We've already seen this toy in official pictures, as well as had a copy of the bio, but these new images show the final production piece. Additionally, these new images also show the back of the card, complete with character artwork.

BWTF.com has posted up some more scans from the upcoming Revenge of the Fallen NEST Battle set, showing the side panel and revealing the identity of the mail order exclusive Transformer! The exclusive mail away Transformer is a repaint of Revenge of the Fallen Ravage, with an updated deco including red "re-entry" paint applications to recreate the scene in the film where he launched off of Soundwave and flew down to Earth. To get Ravage, you have to first buy the NEST Battle set, and then affix three stickers to the enclosed mission guide - the stickers are available with all NEST Global Alliance Revenge of the Fallen Transformers. Those old school fans like myself might recognize this as a partial resurrection of the old Robot Points mail in campaigns!
But wait! There's more! BWTF has also posted up scans of the catalog that comes with the NEST Battle pack. The new catalog shows off the next two or three waves of Transformers toys, but includes a couple of new toys. First up is Evac, a Generation 1 Blades inspired redeco of Blaze Master. Second is the previously seen Desert Combat Rampage, here just called "Rampage". This confirms once and for all that the red Rampage will be making an appearance at US retail! |

Included are shots alongside his Voyager namesake so we can finally compare both in depth in vehicle and robot modes. Especially notable are the chest detailing in robot mode, and the inlets in jet mode.

Could the next wave of Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe class toys be just around the corner? This latest piece of information from 2005 Boards veteran Hiro Prime suggests that Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Wave 9 is now arriving in Wal-Mart stock rooms, but is not yet being put out as it has a street date of 11/11/09.
Deluxe Wave 9 is the second assortment of Revenge of the Fallen NEST Global Alliance Deluxes and is slated to include Lockdown, Ratchet, Brawn and Strike Mission Sideswipe. What this means for the wave preceeding it who have also yet to be released, containing Dirge along with Tuner Mudflap, Alliance Bumblebee and Armorhide is anyone's guess. Could it be a mislabelled box, or could both these new waves of Deluxes be reaching retail simultaneously? There's only one way to find out the truth. Be sure to check out those Wal-Mart stores on 11/11/09 and see what new Transformers toys you can find! |
