HISS Tank member Rulz strikes again with another wave 3 alpha vehicle from G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra, the Polar SHARC Submarine with Ice Storm! Continuing the modular weaponry trend from the Direct To Consumer(DTC) line(and shown in the movie line starting with the PIT), the missle launcher on this vehicle can be swapped with that of the Cobra Eel, and others with similar pegs.
With a pilot reminiscent of someone from the hit series, "Deadliest Catch", this vehicle and figure are all new to the line! Could we see a bigger, more movie accurate version in the future, possibly as a bravo sized vehicle? Who knows, but for now, click on the title bar to check out how the Polar SHARC and Ice Storm turned out! |

Not too long ago we heard about a possible release date for the DVD release of G.I. Joe Resolute from Amazon. The release date was listed as November 3rd, and now another retailer is also showing the same release date, possibly confirming the 11/3 release date! HISS Tank member DrKain has informed us that Best Buy is now showing G.I. Joe Resolute in their computer systems! This might be planned to coincide with the release of G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra on Blu-ray and DVD.
There is still no information on a pending Blu-ray release. HISS Tank member 2-cents had hinted at the DVD release back in July, even showing promotional artwork for Titmouse, which some suspect will be the cover for the Resolute DVD. Without much of well, anything Resolute-related on shelves currently(aside the 5 pack from Spring, despite the high demand for more Resolute items from the fandom), the upcoming DVD gives us at least something to look forward to. |

Offscreen characters should be no surprise to movie toyline fans, as they fill in gaps in assortments and give us something neat to tinker with. By now we all know that something doesn't necessarily have to be in the movie to be worthy of a purchase, at times, offscreen toys can be exciting, take for example the upcoming G.I. Wave 4 of the G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra line was released not too long ago and hasn't hit saturation just yet. In this wave is the Joe team's resident flamethrower, Charbroil! Absent from the popular 25th Anniversary/Modern Era line, he makes an appearance in the movie line with a familiar color scheme. Could a Modern Era version be in the works? Joe Movie Prequel #1, or in the flashback scene in the movie where Rex fails to escape from a lab that's about to be bombed, Jungle Assault Ripcord from wave 5 is the figure for you!
