Earlier today fans on the boards started mentioning abnormal credit card purchases on their statements, most originating from Itunes. It seems as if one of the places in the chain of card processing which was hit may have lead back to a Transformers based retailer (possibly others too), therefore explaining the unusually large amount of Transformers fans being affected on the same day.
We were watching the situation all day, and since there has been no more movement to 100% clarify where it came from as of yet, we are just putting this general alert out there tonight. If you have made purchases online recently please double check your statements to verify the integrity of your account. Feel free to read on or click discuss to get more details from fellow fans. |

Our friends at Reprolabels have updated with a new free giveaway - a Transformers Revenge of the Fallen symbols sheet. This sheet uses metal ink and transparent stock, and includes traditional Autobot and Decepticon logos in outline (based on the Decepticon logo on Jetfire in the feature film), plus two different versions of the N.E.S.T. Alliance logos, the scratchy Decepticon logo featured at the end of the theatrical trailers and a special "Fallen" Decepticon logo based on a hybrid of The Fallen's face and the Decepticon logo.
This set is FREE with every $20 you spend at Reprolabels. Check out the full selection of reproduction and customisation stickers available by clicking here. |

Toy Hobby have put up some new images of the upcoming Transformers Henkei limited edition ("Gentei") Dark Skyfire. This special version of Skyfire from his days working alongside Starscream as a member of the Destrons is exclusively available through Toy Hobby Market, and is due to be released in March 2010. Of particular interest in these new images is that they suggest Dark Skyfire will have a darker black color scheme rather than the gray shown in previous images.

The Arker has posted images of what may be the first Transformers War For Cybertron toy! A pair of new Transformers RPMs have been revealed, one of which features the War for Cybertron Soundwave Robot mode design on the underside. The vehicle mode, meanwhile, is heavily based on the Animated Soundwave vehicle mode, but with an abundance of realistic technical details. Could this be our first War for Cybertron toy or something completely different? Stay tuned for more updates.
Also revealed is a new Revenge of the Fallen RPM. This RPM is a redeco of the previous released Revenge of the Fallen RPMs Optimus Prime, in a similar style to the Voyager Class Defender Optimus Prime recolor. This one uses red where the Voyager uses blue, though. Check out the images of both Soundwave and Defender Optimus Prime by clicking on the link above or the title of this story to view our mirror of the images. |

TFW2005 Comic Reviews have arrived! The first of many comics to be reviewed is Transformers #3 by IDW Publishing, which will be released in comic book stores tomorrow - Wednesday, January 13th. Check out the review and a few new images from the issue by clicking on the Title Bar or thumbnail to the left.
Transformers #3 Credits Publisher: IDW Publishing Written by: Mike Costa Art by: Don Figueroa Colors by: J. Brown Letters by: Chris Mowry Editor: Andy Schmidt Associate Editor: Denton J. Tipton Covers Cover A – Art by Don Figueroa and Colors by J. Brown Cover B – Art by Andrew Wildman Retailer Incentive – Art by Don Figueroa Review Transformers #3 continues IDW’s first set of story arcs for the Transformers ongoing comics series, with the issue’s events occurring after the events of (the upcoming) Last Stand of the Wreckers Issue #1 and before the events of Bumblebee Issue #1. The issue follows three separate storylines: Ultra Magnus on Earth at the Autobot base investing the events that lead to Ironhide’s death and Optimus Prime’s surrender to the humans, Hot Rod continues to seek a way off of Earth under a newfound partnership, and Spike Witwicky seeks answers through any means possible. Writer Mike Costa inherited quite a bit of back stories through IDW previous mini-series as well as ongoing side stories in the current Bumblebee mini-series and the upcoming Last Stand of the Wreckers mini-series. Transformers #3 shows the strength in his writing, demonstrating how he has balanced the back stories as well as the content from the recently released Bumblebee #1. He also handles the three storylines in the issue quite well, offering seamless transitions between the stories through the use of a common phrase said in the last panel of the one storyline and the first panel of the next. Additionally, his portrayals of long-time characters haven’t strayed far from the familiar. Characters such as Hot Rod may be characterized slightly differently but not so differently that the character has been completely altered in terms of personality. The development of Spike Witwicky, however, is far different than any portrayal in the past. Whereas Issue #2 portrayed Spike as a womanizer, Issue #3 shows his manipulative side. Although it still feels as if they are setting him up for redemption, his character is getting less and less likable with each issue. Don Figueroa’s art in Issue #3 is consistent with that featured in the previous issue, with no change in the movie-style of Transformers design. If you’re a fan of the movie-inspired designs, you’ll continue to not be disappointed. Don also has a chance to show off a few new designs with Autobots such as Beachcomber, Huffer and Seaspray and provide fans a better look at his Jetfire and Ultra Magnus redesigns. The new redesign of Hoist settles any debate that the designs were inspired by the movie, as his new design is that of his Revenge of the Fallen toy. Transformers #3 continues to build on the excitement featured thus far in the ongoing. Although the issue did not featuring anything in the way of huge revelations, it does a great job of teasing several large events coming up within the storylines. This issue is a recommended pick up, although it’s becoming more apparent that you may also need to pick up the Last Stand of the Wreckers and Bumblebee mini-series as they are released to be fully cognizant of what is going on with the contents of this issue and the ongoing series. |

The new Transformers: War for Cybertron trailer has gone up on IGN! This awesome two minute long trailer does not show any in game footage yet, but provides a lead-in to the game's story, giving us our first glimpses of Megatron (with Energon Mace / Scepter weapon!), Bumblebee, Omega Supreme and Starscream in action, as well as extended footage of Optimus Prime. Those who have been following the various podcasts and interviews might remember a promise that certain characters who have not been used since Generation 1 will get some love and attention this time around, and the trailer delivers, with the return of the Decepticon mobile battlebase, Trypticon!
