HISSTank.com member BennyBroca designed and built this custom Cobra Silent Castle Headquarters...
"Designed from scratch, I had to make elaborate plans for this thing ! The whole play-set is built with laminated plastic sheets, recycled bits for the turrets, missile launchers and other stuff. The command center at the middle rotates to conceal the commander or any high ranking official, the vehicle bays open and close with magnet latch mechanisms and the top of the castle opens to reveal an experimental plasma cannon. There are two retractable missile launchers and four anti tank turrets. the interior features repair vehicle bays, detention center, bunk-beds, shooting range and control consoles." Macca428 of TaoBao has posted an auction for Quick Kick from the GI Joe Pursuit of Cobra line, with all new images! This figure is a Toys R Us exclusive for fall. Now at JoeCon 2010, Hasbro mentioned that some of their Pursuit of Cobra figures were influenced by popular movies from the past, such as Predator, and Alien.
Yet the influence does not stop at sci fi films nor video games, Quick Kick is inspired by some popular martial arts movies! Here's a list of who may have been an influence behind the design of this figure(and not just from Karate Kid!):

HISS Tank boards member Gyre-Viper has come through with several new images of the following GI Joe Pursuit of Cobra figures exclusive to Toys R Us, and planned for release in fall:
Both Spirit and Quick Kick were neat surprises revealed on the Friday of JoeCon 2010. On the boards, speculation was brewing on the new figure in the Jungle Assault dio, and fans were pleasantly surprised to find out it was a legit(and not custom) Spirit Iron Knife figure! Ditto for Quick Kick when it was revealed later that he too(wait, what happened to the Crimson Shadow Guard?) would be joining the POC line! Hit the title bar to see more! |

Winter God of ACToys has posted all new images of the HISS Tank V5 from the GI Joe Pursuit of Cobra line! This vehicle is planned for release in August. This bravo sizeclass Cobra vehicle has dual attack modes and a Pursuit of Cobra version of the HISS Driver.
The dual attack modes can be seen as paying homage to the HISS V4 from the GI Joe VS Cobra line, though arguably, the dual attack modes on this new V5 version seem to have warmer reception amongst the fandom. Hasbro has given incentive to buy multiples as the weapons on this HISS Tank and other POC vehicles are modular! The sticker sheet is not known but comes with a wealth of marking details, such as designation numbers, et al. If a repaint was planned in the classic black paint scheme of the original H.I.S.S. Tank, would you pick it up? Let us know, and hit the title bar to see more! |

With GI Joe Pursuit of Cobra items in production for an August debut at retail, prototypes have been popping up more frequently. Up for auction now by chinafigures are the following:The retooled Ghost HAWK is part of the 1st wave of alpha vehicles in the Pursuit of Cobra line. Interesting how Hasbro named the driver Tomahawk when it is a repaint of Lift Ticket, the pilot of the venerable Tomahawk combat helicopter from the GI Joe A Real American Hero line. It's a neat way to preserve legal rights to a name of a classic vehicle oft seen on wishlists for a reissue...Hit the title bar to see more!

HISS Tank boards member Gyre-Viper has posted images of his recently acquired preproduction sword brothers from the GI Joe Pursuit of Cobra line. Shown in this new batch of images are:
Gyre-Viper has mentioned that Storm Shadow has a button on the side. Could this be a return to the Action Attack gimmick last seen in the 1st waves of Valor VS Venom? Currently, it does not seem like articulation(aside from the lack of a torso ball joint; a waist swivel is used in lieu of it) is compromised, so cross your fingers this stays the same by final production. Full articulation is a standard for GI Joe figures; without it a GI Joe figure isn't "America's moving fighting man"(it's like a Transformer that can't transform). Hit the title bar to see more! |
