I just recently realized I don't have a Boba Fett. Terribly distressing oversight on my part. I haven't been paying much mind to SW toys of late, with most of my money going to Joes, so I don't know the series and releases of figs. I did see a good looking Boba Fett in the Trilogy series. BBTS has it for $14.99. I'm guessing it originally came out around $7.99 or so yeah?
My question is this: when did the Trilogy BF come out? would I still have a chance of finding it at retail? (I know it's mostly clone wars now yeah?) And is the old Power of the Force 2 fig the same thing? Or is there a lot of difference in articulation? I know the Trilogy fig has the flame display base and the gun blast, but I can do without those. I guess I'm just looking for a good, nicely articulated Jedi-era Boba Fett. All thoughts appreciated! |

The best Boba Fett is the Fett Legacy one. it's downright awesome and the articulation rules. I can't tell you much otherwise, other than I'm pretty sure it's impossible to find Boba single carded right now(in stores anyway)

I'd get the Evolutions set with Boba, Jango, and Mandalore. Mandalore because KOTOR kicks ass, and the Boba and Jango in this set are near-definitive versions.

I'd have to agree with scarecrow on this, the Legacy Boba Fett is my personal favorite. It has the best sculpt and articulation. I'm not sure if the one in the Evolutions set is the same or not.

yep. that's how life goes usually.
Thanks for the input guys! Looks like that evolutions set is sold out at BBTS, no surprise, it looks good! I'll have to keep my eyes open for a lonely forgotten set at retail (but I won't hold my breath). Are there plans for a new BF coming out soon? Or did I just miss the boat on this one? |

Hasbro loves this mold. I am sure we will see this one again. Also check out EBay as that might be a good option as well.

I saw an Evolutions set of the Fetts just last week at TRU. So, keep your eyes open. They do still show up sometimes.

Thanks for the help, I'll keep eyes peeled for that set. If I'm meant to have one I"ll find it someday. Or like you say, they'll make a new one someday too.

Like the others said, the Boba sculpt from the Evolutions set is fantastic, I can't see them not using it again in the future. I picked up my Evolutions set about a month ago, and still continue to see them sporadically.
So irregardless of whether or not you're meant to have one you'll probably find one anyway!! |

Well I got the three pack tonight. There it was on the TRU shelf behind some other stuff I don't remember. Very cool. Very happy with it. Thanks for the heads up guys, mission accomplished! (I guess my experience hunting Joes for so long, then giving up on retail altogether does not apply to other lines like formers and SW...hm....)
but what the hell? SW figs don't come with bases??? no bases????? seriously now?!?! |

I don't mind not having the stands.. But sweet on finding the set! I've found similar luck with EVERY line minus GI Joe, where I was literally frothing at the mouth when Snow Job came out. Damn GI Joe and their crap distribution.
But I've been incredibly lucky with Marvel Universe and the little Star Wars I buy |
