User jinxm of HK-TF.com has posted a gallery of the upcoming Winter Wonder Festival 2010 exclusive The Fallen Blazing Version. These new images reveal that while this fiery Fallen is based on the Target Exclusive, he is actually much more than a "mere" repacked toy - he is cast in entirely translucent plastic. Not just translucent orange, as previously reported - the black plastic is also a smokey black translucent plastic in this version too. Click on the link above to check out the full gallery, or our mirror of the pick of the gallery by clicking on the title of this story.
Also be sure to check out E-Hobby's order page for The Fallen Blazing Edition which includes some official photography of this upcoming redeco. |

Thanks to S250, new images of the War for Cybertron Optimus Prime figure has surfaced. Although the figure is oddly missing its head, the images provide comparisons of the figure next to a Classics Optimus Prime. Check out the images by clicking on the thumbnail to the left.

Some interesting news has surfaced for the Japanese dub of Transformers Animated, courtesy of Livejournal user toriaki. First of all, we have news on the Japanese dub's theme song, which will be sung by the one and only JAM Project! JAM Project is made up of several well-known vocalists including Masaaki Endoh and Hironobu Kageyama, the latter of whom has previously provided the opening, ending and insert songs to Japanese Transformers series The Headmasters and Beast Wars Metals.
On the side of voice actors, toriaki's post also confirms who will be voicing Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sari and Megatron in the Japanese dub of Transformers Animated. Optimus Prime will be voiced by Hiroki Takahashi, whose previous Transformers voice credits include Hellscream and Mantis in Beast Wars Second, plus Gildo and Build Hurricane in Car Robots (Japanese Robots in Disguise). Mr Takahashi is also known for providing the Japanese voice of Street Fighter's Ryu in Street Fighter IV and Tatsunako VS Capcom. Bumblebee meanwhile will be voiced by Daisuke Kishio, who previously voiced Kicker in Transformers Super Link (Japanese Transformers Energon), while Sari will be voiced by Satomi Akesaka. Saving the best for last, we have the legendary Norio Wakamoto playing Megatron. Mr Wakamoto has previously provided the voice of Flame Convoy in Transformers Galaxy Force (Japanese Transformers Cybertron) and is recognizable as the voice of anime villains everywhere. His most notable credits include Cell in the Japanese dub of Dragonball Z, and providing the Japanese voice of Vega (M Bison) in many of Capcom's Street Fighter titles. Also mentioned in the livejournal posting is that the DVD / Blu Ray of Transformers Animated will be released in Japan starting in Fall 2010. |

Here is something cool and a little different today - custom parts makers Headrobots are making an all-new Headmaster. It is based on one of the many concept sketches of the additional Headmaster heads that never got much further than concepts. Check out more images of the serpent design including pictures of it attached to one of the Headmasters by clicking here to visit the Headrobots' homepage.

Gamestop have updated their preorder page for Transformers: War for Cybertron to add details of an exclusive downloadable content / multiplayer unlock. On pre-ordering War for Cybertron with Gamestop either online or in stores, you will receive a code that will unlock Shockwave as a playable character in the Escalation mode of the game's multiplayer mode. Check out the preorder page here for more details.
Does the inclusion of Shockwave as an exclusive for preordering the game with Gamestop make you want to preorder the game there? Does this open the door for other characters being exclusive multiplayer unlocks for preordering at other stores? Talk about all of this, and all things War for Cybertron, in our War for Cybertron discussion forum. |

The Hollywood Reporter has posted an article about Transformers movie writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman's involvement with the new Transformers: Prime cartoon for The Hub. We reported their involvement with new projects for The Hub last November, however the news here is that like Beast Wars and other Transformers cartoons afterwards, Transformers Prime will be animated with computer graphics!
Kurtzman and Orci, who are working on a "Star Trek" sequel and the Daniel Craig starrer "Cowboys and Aliens" on the feature side, continue to serve as consulting producers on "Fringe" and are executive producers on CBS/CBS Studios' "Hawaii 5-0," which they co-wrote with Peter Lenkov, and on the "Transformers" CG-animated series for upcoming Hasbro/Discovery channel the Hub. |

For those of you who enjoyed the Allspark Almanac which was an indepth guide to Transformers Animated, rejoice! Jim Sorenson and crew have more were that came from! Allspark Almanac Volume 2 is confirmed! Here's what Jim had to say at Disciples of Boltax:
One of my loyal readers brought this to my attention, so I guess it's safe to share it with the world. The AllSpark Almanac II is now being solicited on Amazon.com. 220 pages, by Bill Forster and myself. I don't think I'm giving too much away to say that it will cover season 3. Here's the solicitation text: Transformers Animated is the most whimsical Transformers series ever. The AllSpark Almanac II captures that magic with a wondrous examination of this amazing universe. This 220 page volume is packed with behind-the-scenes sketches, interesting facts, production artwork and musings from the characters themselves. Relive the thrill of the final season of Animated and learn what might have been had the show continued. Explore the metallic plains of Cybertron and meet its colorful denizens. Discover more about the action-figures that accompanied the cartoon. Hard-core fans and neophytes alike will find this an essential tome. You won't want to miss it! Now that the cat's out of the bag, I'd love to see a massive number of preorders of this thing. The higher this baby goes on the Amazon charts, the more likely I am to be able to keep making books like this. After all, there is a whole 'nother series that's recently been announced. (The Transformers: Prime Primer? Nah, that's terrible, but I'll have plenty of time to come up with a cool title.) For those wondering what could have been with Transformers Animated, this is thee book to get! |

2005 boards member Philister and his wife were in attendance at the Nuremburg Toy Fair, and has reported the following:
The RPMs line seems to a major success and there'll be lots of new products there. Apart from at least a dozen new RPM cars I've seen, there is a new race track / play set, titled "Bumblebee's Battle Track". Additionally a new RPM subline called "Stealth Force" was introduced. This line consists of Voyager- and Deluxe-sized vehicles. They can't transform into robots, but they do electronically fold out weapons and other technical knick-knacks. Optimus Prime and Megatron come in Voyager-size, Bumblebee in Deluxe size. Finally, the RPM line is rounded out by a new Bumblebee car, a remote controlled one this time. Size-wise it's somewhere between Ultimate Battle BB and Human Alliance BB. Among the "real" Transformers we saw Leader Starscream (in the new orange packaging), Seaspray and Power Core Combiner Huffer, all old news. What I hadn't seen so far, though, were the following: - Scout class figure Hubcap, who transforms into a red muscle car - Scout class figure Brimstone, who transforms into a blue motorbike - Power Core combiner Team "Aerialbots", consisting of a leader figure just below Deluxe size and four team members just below Scout size. No sign of any War for Cybertron or Animated figures, sadly. Could other popular teams from Generation 1 such as the Constructicons or Stunticons show up in the Power Core Combiners line to complement Superion and Bruticus? |

Japanese toy blog Danny Choo has posted some images from Winter Wonder Festival 2010 showcasing the packaging for the upcoming Japanese release of Transformers Animated. The packaging for the single release deluxes can be seen - it is primarily red, with a face off between the facial profiles of Optimus Prime and Megatron. The VS packaging is also on show, which uses an open window box to show off both toys in robot mode with their heads turned toward each other.

2005 Boards member Masabon, and Japanese toy blog Danny Choo have posted some images from Winter Wonder Festival 2010. With many thanks to 2005 Boards member Masabon, we have many images of the Transformers display including the big models of Animated and Movie Optimus Prime waiting to greet guests and of course the toy display. Takara Tomy's Transformers Animated line is out in full force, and thanks to these images we have our first look at the packaging for the various different toys. Deluxe class toys come packaged on handsome cards, with red backgrounds for Autobots and purple backgrounds for Decepticons. The backer depicts a faceoff between Optimus Prime and Megatron. Voyagers come in similarly color coded window boxes, while the VS sets come in an open window box to show off both toys in robot mode with their heads turned toward each other.
