Got my new MU wave today and all I can say is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeetttt.
Uploaded with ImageShack.us Archangel - Pretty cool BUT I thought he was going to come with a set of "folded in" metal wings as well as the standard ones. Alas he does not. On a side note, if you want to make him "Death" from the hrseman, the Skull helmet from the GI Joe SpyTroops/VvsV Range Vipers matches colors almost exactly. Colossus - I thought nthing could hold a candle to the SHS version but this is a CLOSE second. I think it would even surpass it if it were a wee bit taller. However it rocks and the head is the new swivel design (ala Extremis Iron Man). Some will easily prefer this over the SHS model. AIM Troops - Yes! Cool figure, swivel head. Juggernaut - Another great figure but SHS wins out. Issues with Juggy: shorter than Colossus and not as hulking as say the Hulk or similar. He is sort of a shrunken version. also the Bands on his arms don't stay on very well. Lastly, they sculpted the face under the helmet and it is a separate piece but why wouldn't they have made this a whole head under the helmet? Havok - Similar to Archangel reuses the new Spiderman mold which is not a bad thing as it is a great mold and I suspect we will see it continuously which is MUCH better than the Daredevil squat body Marvel reused ad nauseam. Accessory is the Iron Man "Blast" in Blue Kitty Pride - Same old MU chickee body with the little Dragon dude. Last edited by boombatty; 05-24-2010 at 01:39 PM.. |

You gotta be kidding that the SHS Juggs is better. The proportions on that figure are way wonkier than the MU guy. MU version looks sano.

While I agree the bigger characters in the MU line are a little small, I can't agree that SHS Juggernaut is better than the MU version. A member of the Fwoosh put up a side by side pic of them, I'll try to post it here.

It all depends on which look you prefer. The SHS figures have more(or too much IMO) detail to them whereas the MU figs, while very detailed, aren't overly so. You just prefer more detail is all, nothing wrong with that. Right now I much prefer the SHS Hulk over the MU ones, but that has more to do with the superior posability than the detail.

Actually there is supposed to be a Death variant. Plus Havok is supposed to have a variant. Of course who knows since the last variants aren't out yet either.

Lockheed's a pain to get to sit on Kitty's arm.
Colossus and kitty pose well together. Colossus is an epic figure here. Upper thigh swivel, upper arm swivel, and nice range of motion on the head. They are really starting to get this down. So far my only complaint is lockheed, he needed to be an old school rubber bendy, but the detail on what they used is amazing, and I guess it would last longer. Havok is kinda neat, but he needs two blue blasts. He's just your basic buck with great nice paint details. Nothing really stands out about him negative or postively except for the lacking second blast. I'm waiting on the X-Force version of archangel. Skipped Juggernaut for now, cause I'm undecided on size considering the hulk in display. The aim agent I'm waiting for in store. |

I haven't gotten my shipment yet but I realized I'm the only one, it seems like, who doesn't like the Black Spiderman mold. One leg always seems to fall off and the joints either seem way too loose or way too tight. That and the legs seem to never have any posebility.
How much range of motion does archangel's wings have? |

I think it'd be better if they gave the mold a thigh swivel. When whenever you bend the leg upwards it always curves in. Not bad for Spiderman but doesn't work for anyone else

Anyway, my Colossus and Juggernaut from BBTS are supposed to arrive today. Unfortunately UPS never delivers BEFORE I go to work so I won't be able to see them until around midnight tonight when I get home. |
