Starting an X-23 custom, so far all I gots done are her claws.
Planning on making it the jacketed version from the end/beginning of the Target X miniseries. Using either a jacket reminiscent of cap's or logan's. I already have an idea on the body, arms, and coat, but any suggestions on the head? |

Maybe Uhura from the new Star Trek line. You would have to paint and ad the hair, but it could be a good starting point. I was looking at one at Wal-Mart the other day and I thought it could be used to make a good custom of X-23 or Echo.
Also, I don't have any of the Star Trek figures so I don't even know if the heads are compatible with the MU bodies. You might have to do some work. |

I'm already using the ms. marvel body, so I was thinking I could trim her hair down for a masked version, or tweak a baroness head to have no glasses. |

Thankfully ROC Scarlet swoops into the rescue!
Her head is what I'm using now. And I have a finished workup of X-23 in reactive armor assasin gear. A departure from the outfit depicted, but it's good enough for me now. Her jacketed version is next which is why I'm keeping this in the WIPs area still. The scarlet modded one just intrigued me too much as is to add the jacket and make it too busy. Anyway, PICS! Hopefully by the time I get her other version done, I'll find a more suitable head. If not, scarlet with already having green eyes, seems perfect for now. Also I still have to shave her claws some more. I'll worry about better pics when she's done. =) |

Looking good. I really want an X-23 too.
Her eyebrows are a little thick and she needs her mask. You should do the other version with her mask and red eyes from X-Force. A little off topic, but did you read Messiah War? Laura plays a good role in it. Pretty good story. |

Love the x-force comic. And yeah, this one was a apin to do the eye brows on, but considering I'm going to end up with a ton of scarlet heads anyway over the next few weeks, I figure I can redo it till it's done right. xD
I want to do a masked version in her X-force outfit, but I'm hoping hasbro does that instead since they've already done warpath, wolverine, and have an archangel coming soon. |

That's actually really nice. I agree that the head doesn't work but I like the body.

I think I might start leaning on doing the Jacketed one as an X-Force X-23. Cause the mask does look loads better than the joe version. Depends how much I can trim the mask down. And yeah, little snafu on one claw. Good thing I still have 2 more fists.
*Edit Update 09-08-09* Jacket Version is about as done as it's going to be till I can decide if I want to do the tank top or not, and I may come back to the legs later and use completely different ones instead. More pics to come soon. I ended up going for a more X-Force X-23 Old Ghosts Aftermath Version More Pics up now! Inlcluding the 'reactive armor' X-23 that I'm starting to modify towards an accel suit X-23 (still need an extra accel helmet to finish her). Last edited by Snowflakian; 09-08-2009 at 08:05 AM.. |

Bump cause of the pic updates. And also, any suggestions or knowledge on what the color is called for Ms. Marvel's flesh tone?

I might end up making a third since the wraith armor in black and yellow with one shoulder pad looks like the academy X costume. The gauntlets would just have to be beefed up, but heads are a damn pain to choose about though, so finding a more subtle gentle featured straight haired female characters head to match is a pain. Though I do like the pony tail route, I only have one of those heads and it's needed for the armored version. >.> Though I guess they could be swappable. Especially if I adapt ashiko's wraith armor to that one.
I started out with a goal for a figure that was nigh impossible to do. And now I've go 2 built and 3 in the making of everything but the original planned figure. xD But at least the experimenting is getting me ready for that one to do eventually. I don't think Hasbro will bother with her mini series plainclothes. |
