CB - 10 Just the costume I wanted. Nice to see them reusing the 6 pack colossus knees here to evoke the right costume
GR - 9 Thigh swivel makes it perfect for a bike, and everything else is just perfect for him. The only reason I said 9? It's Johnny Blaze, and I'm not a blaze fan. Mystique - 8 Something about her just doesn't look right, like the classic costume, but something just feels off for some reason. The sculpt is fine, and the paint apps look fine, even the gun is passable for her Mutant Liberation Front days. (haha, no MILF jokes this time! Oh wait. DOH!) Wolverine - 8 While not one I'd get, the thigh swivel, coloring, and new head all scream awesomeness on a stick. Just wish they'd do Astonishing/Avengers Wolverine already. Multiple man - 9 While I dislike the 90s costume, this is a good basis for future ones with the body, it's also nice to see them reusing the archangel head already and so well too. Hoepfully next MM will have the trenchcoat and Maddrox unmasked head. This guy really only neds new arms, a coat, and a new head. Still might get him for army building though. Maddrox's copies don't always come out the 'same'. |

I hope that Wolverine is a proto and not the finish product because he is FUGLY!!! and I dont want the MU line looking like 7 different toy lines. What is up with HASBRO? Why did they kill off the X-Men Origins: line if their going to pump that lines molds into MU? LAZY!!! If their going to cut corners they should do something for us guys that buy everything like send in five proof of purchase and get a free MU Stan Lee or Bag Head Spider Man damn I would be stoked to even get a little cheap dime size Ant Man.

Really don't see what you have against Multiple Man's body at all. It fits great for characters like him and Spidey. |

Wow, another near-perfect wave. The only drawback is the Wolverine having ball joints. I REALLY hope that's just a simple prototype (seeing as the stands don't even have names or numbers on them) and won't be the final retail version. It's just a repaint of the XMO toy, which I'd be okay with if not for -- again -- the awful ball joints.

You think they could just raid the JOE arsenal and switch it up a bit. That Wolverine is like 2.2 inches tall and a repaint of one of the WO molds. Hasbro sucks ass with the accessories on this line. |

Ghost Rider was a duh on the no bike. You really expected them to give you a bike on a single carded figure? That's something for comic packs. There's also the crossovers bike, oil slick, and more that can be used to place hold.
It's a new mold Team X wolverine. And the M-16s are only with characters who'd use em. Plus Team X wolverine comes with a pistol and holster too. Stop sucking up! The Wolverine is not a new mold but a repaint of one of the movie figures. I own it by the way, It sucks! It's like two inches tall. See ball joints on legs. The M16 is not the only weapon in the Marvel universe. If you can't admit that it's getting a little too much use than I think Hasbro's paying you. |

My hope is that eventually a comic-pack or deluxe version is released with the bike, similar to the XMO Wolverine releases. Quote:

So Hasbro cut corners by not including an accessory that would have been as large as the actual figure itself? GR is a single-carded figure, therefore no bike. Simple as that. It would break the budget, not to mention having to redesign the packaging to accomodate it doubling in size.

The box design maybe, but the bubble insert would be a new mold so the factory would have to be set up for it. Either way, the overall cost would move it past the single figure price-point and into the deluxe/multi-pack price-point.
Of course, I completely understand those that would argue "Why release GR at all without his bike?" And to those people, I would say that's a damn fine question to ask at the next Marvel Q&A.

And to those people, I would say that's a damn fine question to ask at the next Marvel Q&A. 1) We could be due for a "build a (something)" and we would be getting parts of the bike with each figure. I highly doubt this one but I can dream 2) They are trying to cross pollunate the Marvel Crossover line with the Marvel Universe line and make people buy that GR/Oil Slick bike or 3) Comic pack like every one said |

So sick of everything being only 3 3/4 and costing as much as the the 6-7" figures used too. Huge rip off no matter how detailed they are. I want my 6"-7" figures back. The only figures that should be 3 3/4 is Joes and Star Wars. If they want to sell the smaller ones at a lower price then fine, but the larger figures should still be offered as well. around $5 for the smaller ones and 12 to 15 for the bigger ones. Heard that all the figures for the Green Lanter movie next year will be 3 3/4 size except for a few expensive exclusive figures. Sucks real bad.

There are some of us that are only interested in the 3 3/4 inch figures, so for us, it doesn't "suck real bad." After years of six inch only, the 3 3/4 collectors are finally getting some heroes!

I have been bummed for years and angry at McFarlane for upping the scale. I was a child of the 3 3/4" 80's and damzzzit I wanted my figures back! So I vote for all 3 3/4" all the time! That goes for you Marvel. For you DC. For you McFarlane (I need me some 3.75 Halo figures stat! And throw a few Spawns in if ya get the time). That goes for you Mezco (liked those horror 3.75's BTW). And that goes for you He-Man. Yeah I said it. All one size! All 3.75! Except for the Turtles. I hate the Turtles. You can keep them bigger |

I don't really think there's anything wrong with the XO Wolverine mold. Sure, the ball joints can be annoying, but he's properly-scaled for the rest of the MU figures unlike the actual MU Wolverine. Wolverine is officially 5' 3" while Iron Man, for example, is officially 6' 6" (when armored). Both MU figures are about the same height, even though there should be a scaled difference of 1' 3".
I like the MU Wolverine figure, it is a bit taller than it should be but that doesn't bothers me nearly as much as a midget Daredevil, should be 6 foot, midget Magneto 6.2, midget Mr. Fantastic 6.1, midget Winter Solder and new Cap 5.9 and Bullseye 6. This mold was a disaster. But no lets just keep using it. Compare these midgets to some of the shorter characters from Marvel. Iceman 5.8 and Spiderman BW 5.10 they used the tallest standard size mold that towers any Iron man sculpt that by the way is a bit taller than the Wolverine.
So Hasbro cut corners by not including an accessory that would have been as large as the actual figure itself? GR is a single-carded figure, therefore no bike. Simple as that. It would break the budget, not to mention having to redesign the packaging to accomodate it doubling in size. My hope is that eventually a comic-pack or deluxe version is released with the bike, similar to the XMO Wolverine releases. This line is priced about the same as the ML line was when it came out. These figures are between 1/3rd and 1/4th the size of the ML line figures. ML included larger scale, larger packaging, larger bases (that in themselves ranged between 2 to 3 times the size of a MU figurer), a full sized comic, more accessories and more joints witch took more molds and time to assemble. From a marketing standpoint this line is brilliant, We can give them so much less and charge them about the same price. They save on reusing molds, they fit more product on pegs. It's a win win and in no way do they even consider giving us a bike with Ghost Rider. Maybe the cool thing to do would have been to give us the "deluxe version"before releasing the single carded figure. But why not milk us twice. So just who's budget is breaking here? |
