Fans Project has put up two new updates today. The first update is some very nice artwork depicting all three versions of the City Commander - yes, even the Powered Convoy version which was previously stated as "not planned". Of particular interest is that the artwork for Powered Convoy, pictured left, features additional missile launchers. Does this indicate that a Powered Convoy City Commander is in the works, complete with additional missile launcher parts? Stay tuned for further updates!
The second update focuses on the G3 trailer. A montage of six images is shown, depicting an early version of the Roller unit who will come with the G3 trailer and the way in which the various Classics Optimus Prime guns mount on him. |

2005 Boards sponsor Red Leader of Kapow Toys has shared the finalized case assortment details for the first wave of Revenge of the Fallen toys in the UK with us. This listing details that:
The Movie Preview Deluxe Assortment will consist of 4X Soundwave and 4X Bumblebee. The first wave of Deluxes in the UK will be made up of 4X "Movie 2 Car" (possibly Sideways), 2X Sideswipe, 1X Breakaway and 1X Rampage. The first wave of Voyagers in the UK will contain one of each of Starscream, Optimus Prime, Ironhide and Demolishor. The Movie Scouts will hit the UK, with the first case of Scouts containing 3 of each Scout - Rollbar, Dirt Boss, Dead End and Knockout. There will be two leaders released when the line hits UK shelves, Optimus Prime and "Decepticon" whose identity is under wraps but may be Megatron or The Fallen. They will each ship 1 per case. The Human Alliance series will see a UK release with the Bumblebee / Sam Witwicky set shipping 3 per case. Last but not least is the Supreme Combiner assortment, which may ship with two Devastators in each case - however, Red Leader's supplier is under the impression that the master carton may actually contain one Devastator, and one Leader Class Optimus Prime and Jetfire combiner set. This may not be 100% accurate, but if true would be exciting news to anyone hoping to pick up the new "Jet Optimus" combiner. As always, watch this space where we will provide updates on this item as they become available. |

A blog entry on MTV Movies today featured a brief interview with GM's Vice President of Global Design Ed Wellburn. He talks about the working relationship between the car company and director Michael Bay, revealing how some models were selected for the sequel. He also hints that the nature of the small Autobots with Chevy Beat and Trax alt modes may be more than meets the eye:
“That day that he visited us and walked the halls of the studios, the movie developed and in some ways changed,” he revealed. “[Bay] was inspired by things like the two small cars that maybe could work together in some way. That’s all I can say right now.” So is Wellburn hinting that Skids and Mudflap are able to combine? Do you have another theory? Share it here! |

Ebay Seller Phoenix Hobby has listed an auction for a boxed sample of Revenge of the Fallen Demolishor, which also includes a look at the Decepticon's tech specs and bio! There's also some new images of the toy in and out of the box in both of its modes. Of interest is the Mech Alive gimmick for the toy - in robot mode, the white panels on the shoulders move aside to expose rotating gears! Check out the new images by clicking on the title bar, and check out the bio by visiting Demolishor's page in our Transformers Resources section by clicking here:

The Botcon 2009 FAQ is now online! Check it out by clicking here to visit the Botcon Homepage! The brochure reveals some exciting facts about this year's convention which shows this is not a convention to miss!
The exclusive boxed set is a set of Autobots, billed as the "first Elite Guard". The "one young Autobot" previously mentioned is none other than Kup! Joining him in this special boxed set, titled "Wings of Honor" are Thunderclash, Landshark and Flak, as well as the Evil Decepticon Scourge! No information is currently available to suggest which toys these characters will be remolded from. Also revealed in the brochure are details of three tours taking place over the convention weekend. On Wednesday 27 May, there is a Universal Studios Theme Park and Tour, and on Thursday 28 May, get a spare set of batteries and an extra memory card for your camera, because the Botcon team are organizing a Day in Hollywood! The weekend of special events is rounded off on Saturday night by a visit to the Paramount Studios lot! Please note there is a dress code for this last event to bear in mind when packing clothes to bring with you. As an additional bonus, Revenge of the Fallen toys will also be available on sale at Botcon, first, with special stickers to denote their first release status! Registration forms are not yet available, but will be going up sometime from the middle of next week. Be sure to check out the FAQ and ask any questions you might have while you're waiting for the forms! I look forward to meeting lots of you in Pasadena for what promises to be a memorable weekend! |
