Thanks for the pics GogDog! Looks great! Is he more stable than the Beast Wars Dinobot figure? I hated how the shoulder hinges didn't really connect to the body all that well, though I do prefer the original's mouthguard head sculpt. Inaccurate but I liked it more.

Too be honest, I always passed on the original Dinobot just because something never really did it for me. I didn't watch Beast Wars until years after it's release, and when the 10th Anniversary figs came out, for some reason I just always put him back down (even though he was one of my favorite characters, go figure).

Nice pics, man!
How does he hold up, GogDog? Does he seem relatively solid? I really like Dinobot, but as with many original BW toys, he was a little loose/floppy, I'm hoping this new one turned out better.

He's not loose by any means, but he can be just a bit fiddly. There are a couple of parts that don't peg in on bot mode, but it still holds together just fine unless your thumb pushes it while squeezing or something. I agree that the color could have been chosen better. I might take a look at the henkei version.

Thanks.
A little fiddly is ok, As long as he can hold cool poses without falling off the shelf

Yeah, there is no problem there. His joints, on mine at least, are very tight.

Only disappointing in beast mode. In robot mode, they are double-jointed and can bend well over 90 degrees.

I've actually been debating on whether or not to start collecting those. There's a bunch of stuff, like most of the cars, that I dont already have.

Though I would love to see one, it definitely won't be from Hasbro (due to safety laws). Also doubtful from Tomy's standpoint as well.
My current hope is that a new mold is designed for him in scale with legends-class figures and released under Universe.

Yup, it basically won't happen here at all. Hasbro was thinking of releasing Brave Max for the RID line, but it constantly failed the drop test. I just wish I hadnt sold Brave Max.

I can see him reissued in Japan, but he'll be an expensive import for sure. I don't understand how he was able to be released in the 80's, yet unable to be reissued.
