While the world was “Shocked” by the recent Transformers 3 News, Hasbro has updated their Official Transformers Website for "Hunt For The Decepticons" campaign.
You may now visit the site and by using the Codes found on the Specially Marked (“Hunt For The Decepticons Code Inside!”) Packaging, you can enter a “Battle”. Here’s the official synopsis… “Hidden DECEPTICONS are preparing to strike on Earth again, and the AUTOBOTS need your help to track them down! To take part in the HUNT FOR THE DECEPTICONS you need a “COORDINATE CODE” which can be found inside specially marked TRANSFORMERS products at retail. If you already have a COORDINATE CODE, click the JOIN THE HUNT button below. Together we can fight off the DECEPTICON threat and save the Earth.” And Optimus Prime’s message… "I am OPTIMUS PRIME from the planet CYBERTRON. I need you to join my most trusted AUTOBOT scout BUMBLEBEE to help hunt, locate and battle the DECEPTICONS that remain hidden on Earth before they strike again." You may enter the "Battle" by visiting Hasbro's Official Transformers Website. |

Amazon.com have updated their preorder page for the Transformers: Prime graphic novel with a picture of the cover artwork. The cover art shows Bumblebee imposed over the front of the classic Generation 1 Transformers grid background. The image of Bumblebee is the same one that we have been seeing, however thanks to Amazon's ability to zoom in on images on their site we are now able to see a lot of details previously not visible in the earlier images. Check it out by clicking on the link above or the thumbnail at the left of this story, and then discuss it on our 2005 Boards by hitting the discuss button below.

The Botcon 2010 panels schedule is now up! Check out the panels and Q&A sessions that will be on offer over at Botcon.com. Of particular interest are two panels by the one and only Mr Bob Budiansky! Friday also features a panel by Botcon's guests from Takara Tomy which promises to be a very interesting session, with Saturday featuring panels on Hasbro Studios (could this be our first look at Transformers: Prime?), Activision, Peter Cullen, Paul Eiding & Scott McNeil and the Hasbro Marketing review. Sunday wraps it all up with the Hasbro Designers panel and a Transformers costuming session along with repeat panels for Bob Budiansky and Paul Eiding & Scott McNeil in case you missed out the first time.
What panels will you check out? Sound off on our 2005 Boards! |

By now, all of you know about the Human Alliance Bumblebee with Sam Witwicky figure. It seems that Hasbro Toy Shop is now listing a Variant of that particular toy.
The new version of HA Bumblebee only slightly differs from the original, but the little Sam figure now dons a new white T-Shirt. Bumblebee’s eyes are now painted Green and the Packaging is no longer the "Revenge Of The Fallen" but interestingly enough; the Hunt for The Decepticons. Click on the Image to view some Additional Images and see if you can spot more differences. |

Remember the news about the concept for a Universal Studios Ride based on the Transformers movie franchise?
Well, things are now set in motion. Thanks to Westcoaster, we now have some images from the construction site of “Transformers: The Ride”. Also note that initially Mr. Michael Bay did not like the idea. But reports are coming in, that he is now involved with the project. Click on the Title Bar or the Image to take a look at some Additional Images. There is also a YouTube video which gives us a closer look at the Ride's construction. But unfortunately the embedding is disabled, so you might want to visit the video by clicking . The Ride is scheduled to be opened in 2012. What do you think about the Transformers: The Ride? |

The new Hunt for the Decepticons game is live, and it brings with it our first new toy revelation for the fall! Found listed in Wal-Mart's computers some time ago was the name "Axor". Many including 2005 Boards member Gryph speculated that based on a piece of concept art in a San Diego Comic Con 2009 leaflet from Hasbro and some artwork on Lockdown's instruction booklet that Axor would be a remolded Lockdown, with a head based on Generation 1 Axer.
Well - those of you who thought that were right! The new Hunt for the Decepticons game picks up on the "white muscle car" mentioned in the pre-release, who is revealed to be Axor. You can see his vehicle mode, a very slick white car, in the game, with a look at his head probably from the packaging itself on the mission screen. Check out both images from the game - as well as a scan from Lockdown's instructions and a scan of the SDCC 2009 leaflet with a concept sketch of Axor's head - by clicking on the title of this story. |

Zobovor of Alt.Toys.Transformers has posted up an extensive list of new entries into the Walmart computer system. Foremost among the listings are the names of a handful of new Transformers items.
Prominent among these is the one and only new Generations listing - Dirge! Odds are like Thrust, this will be a US release of the Henkei version. Watch this space for more information, as this will all likely be confirmed at Botcon in just two weeks time! Also new to the Walmart computers (but we've known about him for some time) is Generations Blurr, suggesting that these two will be sharing a wave. Also listed are another five Power Core Combiner entries. In the two packs category, we have listings for Steelshot, Windburn and Darkstream. But what will probably be of more interest to fans of the original Generation 1 Transformers are the new listings for the five packs - the next two five packs are given as being Protectobots and Stunticons. Last but not least are entries for the next two Movie-series Scouts, Firetrap and Sunspot, plus the first five entries into the Transformers Stealth Force line. These deluxe sized vehicles are an offshoot of the RPMs series, and focus on vehicle modes with pop out weapons (very M.A.S.K.). The five entries given for the line are: Bumblebee, Barricade, Hound, "Silver" (Silverstreak?) and Soundwave. Check out the full listings and share your thoughts on all of this by clicking the discuss button below this story. |

Mr. Simon Furman updated his blog today to let us in on the inside details of the upcoming 4th issue of the Transformers: Nefarious miniseries.
Due to the “spoiler-ish” nature of the contents, you might want to click on the Title of this article to read what Mr. Furman reveals about Nefarious #4. Transformers: Nefarious #4 will hit comic book stands on 16th June, 2010. Mr. Simon Furman updated his blog today to let us in on the inside details of the upcoming 4th issue of the Transformers: Nefarious miniseries. This is what Mr. Furman revealed… ”A sort of combined deal this time around, a script (w)rap for Transformers Nefarious #4 and also a pre-release teaser for the same, as it hits stores this coming week (June 16th in the US, 17th in the UK). Last issue saw Soundwave slip through the Autobots’ collective fingers and this issue he’s decided enough is enough. The human organization responsible for both the resurrection/usurping of Ravage and the manipulations that landed Soundwave in trouble in the first place is going down — hard! But the Initiative has tricks up its sleeve that, once again, even Soundwave hasn’t seen coming. And at last we learn some of the how and why about this mysterious and far-reaching organization (which seems to have an uncanny grasp of Cybertronian technology) and its coldly calculating director, Carter Newell. Just how long does his relationship with the robots in disguise go back? What traumatic event eventually gave rise to the Initiative? The answers will surprise you. And, meanwhile, director of national security Theodore Galloway is well and truly in the firing line — hunted by none other than Ransack! Things are looking distinctly terminal in that direction! Nefarious #4 is out in the next few days, with story by me art by the incredible Carlos Magno. Don’t miss it!” Transformers: Nefarious #4 will hit comic book stands on 16th June, 2010. |

We’ve previously reported about Transformers 3 being filmed in Michigan Avenue a.k.a. Magnificent Mile thanks to Collecticon.org.
Now, they have posted the exact dates too. "Chicago’s Michigan Avenue, also known as “The Magnificent Mile”, will be closed to foot and vehicular traffic on July 15th at 8 PM through July 19th at 5 AM for commencement of filming for Transformers 3. There will be lots of explosions and crashing cars during this time. The general public will not be allowed to enter the area directly surrounding Michigan Avenue and the filming is expected to be intense. Businesses along Michigan Avenue are currently receiving information regarding the filming schedule. This will in effect close down the busiest shopping district in Chicago for 3 & 1/2 full days! Security is expected to be very tight. Those that filed to be an extra may be spending some time down on Michigan this Summer, but you won’t be shopping!" |
