At Cybertron Con in China this weekend there was a Fan Meeting Dinner, with several fan produced items on show. One such item is this cool transforming super-deformed Optimus Prime. It's a totally 100% unofficial, fan-produced item by TF Club, however it showcases some of the creativity that these unlicensed products are truly capable of. Check out the images by clicking on the title of this story.

We have some more images and information for you from the Cybertron Con Fans Meeting Dinner, courtesy of S250. Several works in progress were shown off by TFClub for upcoming unofficial items which I think some of you might find rather cool. They were showing off:
Targetmaster Optimus Prime (only robot mode shown) Headmasters Optimus Prime and Soundwave. Each one has a robot mode patterned after their classic style robot modes, plus their iconic vehicle modes, and Headmaster head modes which again bear the faces of their classic incarnations. Between this and the previously mentioned Targetmaster, you can tune up your Powermaster Optimus Prime to be a Head-Target-Powermaster if you were so inclined. Last but not least, a picture was shown of what appears to be a fully 100% custom transforming Constructicon. FansProject were also present and while they did not show anything off, they had this information to share with S250: Remember the prototype storyboards shown off at TFCon last year? The Junkion "Collector", the Glacialbots custom combiner group, and the Warbot based on Broadside? These are all confirmed to still be in the pipeline. The Junkion will come in three flavours, male, female and elder. Any one can ride on the back of any other in bike mode. The Glacialbots are still in very early stages but the intention is for them to have a very Generation 1 feel "but more fun". Lastly, the Warbot Broadside is coming along well, and we might be able to look forward to some prototype images of this follow-on to the popular custom piece Warbot Defender soon. Remember, none of these items are officially endorsed by Hasbro or Takara-Tomy. They are 100% unofficial and unlicensed, much like the "garage kits" produced in the anime community. |

Thanks to EleOcho of Twitter, we have with us a clear look at the Transformers 3 Teaser Poster seen earlier at the LV Licensing Show.
It is said that Optimus Prime will have minor modification to his physique by the ILM (Industrial Light & Magic). See if you guys can spot any differences… This poster was seen recently on a cover of a folder titled “Property of Michael Bay”. Click on the Thumbnail to take a closer look at the Teaser Poster. |

In the days before Classics and Masterpieces, updates to classic Generation 1 characters were few and far between. Optimus Prime was always the most wanted, for obvious reasons. Prior to Masterpiece Convoy (20th Anniversary Optimus Prime), the best we had was Metal Force Convoy. This was a Japanese exclusive convention item in 2000. This vinyl figure featured a removable chest plate and Matrix as well as a gun you had to cut and assemble yourself. Today's Featured Ebay Auction is for the Metallic Version Transformers G1 Metal Force Convoy by seller 4hmpromotion$.

Another new vehicle sporting Autobot logos has been sighted on location in Chicago! This time it is a very flash looking firetruck, with Autobot symbols on both cab doors. It was involved in filming on Van Buren in Chicago. This close up photo is brought to you by 2005 Boards member EShadowP.
Also check out some videos of this new addition to the stunt vehicle cast in action, courtesy of youtubers Theowise (first video) and CollinPiersonPhoto (second video). The videos show the red ferrari, Bumblebee, this new firetruck, Sideswipe and Ironhide racing down Van Buren before all turning off into a depot, with extras playing military looking types ushering them in. Check them out below! |

Over the weekend we held 5 thread-based contests, quick and dirty, to give away 5 codes for the Playstation Store, in turn giving folks the War for Cybertron DLC Pack for free. Here are the last 2 winners!
The fourth was given to 2005 Boards member guard convoy for his response to "What was the best part of the Single Player Campaign, and why?." The third was given to 2005 Boards member webz for his response to "Post ANYTHING related to War for Cybertron!." We would like to thank Activision and S3 for the hook up on the codes! If you haven't yet, make sure to pick up Transformers: War for Cybertron at your local retailer, online, anywhere you can. And right after that, get the new Add-On Pack, which gives you new characters Scattershot and Onslaught, as well as Shockwave, Jazz, and Demolishor, who were originally exclusive to pre-order customers at particular retail locations. The DLC also contains two new multiplayer maps, and also doubles the number of maps for the Horde-like Escalation mode to four. It's a great game for Transformers fans and gamers, so if you're either one, you'll dig it! |

With the success of Transformers - War For Cybertron, it looks as if the Transformers video game license finally became lucrative enough for a company to buy up the rights to make an MMO (for those not fluent in "gamer" talk, it stands for massive multiplayer online game, just without the "G" for game, because "MMOG" would make Final Fantasy VI fanboys cry more for remakes of their beloved game).
Kotaku.com is reporting that the company NetDragon has acquired the rights from Hasbro to create a MMO based on our beloved Transformers. The game will apparently be role-playing in nature. Cosplayers rejoice. No details were given about the game, except for one little tidbit - the game is only slated for China, the "Asian" region, Mother Russia, the Middle East, and Northern Africa. The entire Western Hemisphere is not slated to see this game released. Nor is the UK, Western Europe, Australia, South Africa, Middle Africa, or Middle Earth. Take time from checking your World of Warcraft auction house items and share your thoughts and inner-most feelings with us. |

From time to time, Hasbro likes to update their Transformers website. Sometimes they do it without telling anyone. They also forget that there are those who have nothing better to do on Monday nights and decide to browse instruction sheets. And because it's so obvious, no one ever bothers to really dig through them (remember those cancelled Halloween exclusives? Revealed via instructions!).
But some people do - like AsswhompSupreme of our TFW2005 Boards! (yes, that's actually his username) Check out these Transformers Revenge of the Fallen scout repaints, apparently "VERSUS PACKS" (though, since these are in black and white, you can't really tell what they're being repainted as ... except for cool words like SWAT! and all that). Introducing Blue Maximus, Crosshairs, Drydock, and Undertow! This Transformers fan hopes Blue Maximus is followed by Red Maximus, Yellow Maximus, Green Maximus, Purple Maximus, and Orange Maximus, to form Rainbow Maximus. He can fight Nexus Prime, or something. NOTE: There is no "Red/Yellow/Green/Purple/Orange" Maximus figures currently planned as far as anyone knows. |

With all the new characters coming to light in the form of vehicles seen on set and cardboard cutouts of heads on sticks, some of you have been wondering about the fate of existing characters who have not been seen on set yet. Case in point, the Chevy Volt character Jolt. Added to Revenge of the Fallen late in the day he got very little to do in that movie, but with him in on the ground floor he could get some better screentime in the third movie, right?
Unfortunately, no. Nelson dropped by our 2005 Boards to answer the question many of you are asking. "No Jolt." So sorry Jolt, it looks like your 15 seconds of fame were driving along that one stretch of road and helping Optimus Prime combine with the body of the recently deceased Jetfire. |

We broke the news of Alan Tudyk's involvement in Transformers 3, three months ago. Now, at an interview by FromHollywoodWithLove, Mr. Tudyk revealed what sort of a character he's playing.
"I’m a fellow agent of [Agent Simmon's], that is sort of his assistant and weapons expert, computer hacker, cyber sleuth.” Transformers 3 is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 1, 2011. |

Our ever-loving podcast host Vangelus has spotted an interesting little auction on ebay for a Toys R Us exclusive Power Core Combiners value pack. This Power Core power combo set includes one of the five pack sets along with one of the two pack sets (here it's Skyburst and his Aerialbots with Searchlight), in the same way that in previous years Leader Class toys have been packed with smaller toys as a bonus value set. In this particular case it makes extra sense, because you get two robots to make the "core" of the combined form, allowing you to properly experience the full range of the gimmick.

KOToys has posted a small gallery of the Transformers Museum exclusive piece Transformers Animated Optimus Prime Black Version. This piece which is limited to 300 pieces at the event itself will also see a second run of at least 1000 pieces later this year, according to boards member bodhar2000. It carries on Takara-Tomy's tradition of taking an Optimus Prime and painting him black with red windows and teal highlights in the style of the Jafcon Convoy or the unreleased WonderFest Henkei Convoy.

Thanks to Internet Personality Vangelus, also the host of the WTF@TFW Podcast, not to mention Canada's True Savior, has discovered an auction on Ebay for upcoming Powercore Combiner Bundle packs, which include a 5-pack set along with a regular scout and Mini-Con figure set. The set is being sold by ebay seller rjacks25.
This is great news for those of you who have yet to experience the most amazing feeling ever by opening one of these sets, combining the incredible figure with the incredible drones, and then tormenting members of your family as if you've been posessed by Transformer demons. Others, however, still feel the need to express their discontent with Hasbro for making these figures. Even though the box clearly states, "INCREDIBLE VALUE!", it seems as if Hasbro is going to have to make a huge marketing push to get collectors to step outside of their comfort zone! There is no information on release dates, if there are other sets besides the Skyburst with Aerialbots and Searchlight set, or if your reputation as a Transformers fan is ruined with each purchase. Please feel free to discuss this story in the link. In the meantime, I'm going to make all new combinations of awesomeness. |

With these reports, surely a US sighting can't be too far away. |
