ModXToy has uploaded scans from Figure King Magazine issue 143, the January edition. Featured in this month's Transformers coverage is Human Alliance Barricade along with Shanghai Attack Demolishor and Desert Combat Rampage. Also featured in this month's coverage is Transformers Animated Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, who will be making their debut in Japan in Spring. The toys pictured are unaltered from their US release, although this does not necessarily confirm the Japanese releases will be the same as the US versions.
Most interesting of all in this coverage though is the inclusion of a silhouette of The Fallen, which implies that a redeco of him will be made available as a 2010 Winter Wonder Festival exclusive. Check out all of the scans from the magazine by clicking on the first link above, or check out the Transformers-specific scans by clicking on the title of this story. |

Sponsor Big Bad Toy Store let us know of a pre-order page for the much speculated Masterpiece Ghost Starscream. Could the leak from earlier in the month actually be true? Only time will tell, stay tuned.

Pete Sinclair has dropped by our 2005 Boards to let us know that the second Transformers Collector's Club Store Exclusive for 2010 will be Shattered Glass Cyclonus! This Hot Rod inspired version of Cyclonus is a Heroic Decepticon, with slightly conflicted allegiances. He will be a redeco of the Universe / Classics 2.0 Cyclonus mold. Shattered Glass Cyclonus will be a companion piece to the upcoming Collector's Club exclusive Punch / Counterpunch and will be available to members and non-members alike through the Collector's Club online store.
Check out the mock up image of the vehicle mode over at the Transformers Collector's Club homepage, and stay tuned for more images and information as it becomes available. |

Chris Ryall has posted a teaser for the upcoming Transformers: Last Stand of the Wreckers on his personal blog. Shown in this teaser are the two covers - the Nick Roche cover with colors by Josh Burcham, and a logo less version of Trevor Hutchsion's cover (shown left of this story). There is also a colored version of one of the internal art pages, showing the Decepticon "Ambassador of Destruction" Overlord making his grand entrance.

ACToys.net user God Moon has posted a small comparison gallery between Takara Tomy's recently released Buster Optimus Prime and the upcoming two pack version. The images, which show the original to the left / top of the image and the new version to the right / bottom, indicate that the pin striping on the flames has been changed from white to blue, as well as the most striking difference, the new head. There are also some images of the new Buster Optimus Prime combined with the Jetfire who is going to be included with him, which reveals Jetfire will also sport some additional paint applications on his leg details (and probably other areas as well, they just are not visible in these images).
Check out the original thread on ACToys by clicking on the link above, or click on the title of this story for our mirror of the images if you are having difficulties accessing ACToys. |

Gameinformer concludes their month long coverage of Transformers War for Cybertron today with a special edition podcast. The podcast kicks off with a piece of music from the game itself, and then leaps into a full hands-on first impressions preview of the game. Key points from the podcast include:
* The game is a 3rd person shooter, with gameplay like Gears of War. * Cover can be destroyed, fully destructable environments. * The backgrounds and backdrops will not be static. (Things will happen in the NPC world, such as energon being transported, machinery working, maybe even cameos). * Story missions and Co-op are confirmed--a team of at least three other characters is confirmed. There will also be both multiplayer and single player modes. * Three vehicle classes: Tanks, Jets and another unmentioned class. Depending on the classes and your abilities, the levels will be multi-tiered and have different paths. For jets, this means multiple vertical levels to explore. * All characters have two different time-based skills (e.g. Shield, invisibility, teleport, etc.). * Storyline is one story broken into two interlocking parts, Decepticon Campaign (first half) and the Autobot Campaign(last half). It is an origin story. * Second level is set to explain Starscream and Megatron's relationship. (The first level was previously confirmed as being the tale of the first meeting of Megatron and Starscream). * Many of the G1 actors are coming back to reprise their original roles. A formal announcement will be made at a later date in 2010; however, Peter Cullen is confirmed as Optimus Prime. * Hasbro has said this game is canon. There is also a spoiler in the podcast revealing the nature of the final battle for the Decepticon side of the campaign. If you have been following the coverage so far you should have an idea of what this means, but we won't spoil it for you here. In other news, the official Transformers War for Cybertron homepage has been updated with a new batch of clips. The clips show off the usual fleeting glimpses of the game - however one of the new clips gives us our first clear look at War for Cybertron Ironhide! Check out the still from the video, taken by Mr knightmare of our 2005 Boards, by clicking on the thumbnail image above. |

2010 is upon us! The year that Japan chose to set Season 3 of the original Generation 1 Transformers has arrived and we're not traveling into space or all wearing silver jumpsuits yet, but we do have plenty to look forward to in 2010, including Transformers War for Cybertron, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen N.E.S.T. Global Alliance, and looking further ahead, the mysterious new line of Power Core Combiners and the rumored new Transformers show!
Who knows what other opportunities and fortune might come our way in 2010? On behalf of all the staff and supporters I'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year and a happy, healthy and prosperous 2010 and beyond! |

yizhi521 via 2005 boards member S250 sends us a New Year's treat in the form of some new clear images of the Revenge of the Fallen Ravage redeco. This redeco is the mail-away exclusive version of Ravage that will be available at some point in the new year for sending in 3 NEST Global Alliance Stickers and the Mission Guide included in the Bumblebee VS Soundwave set.
These new images show off more of Ravage's chrome deco and warm red detailing. They also show Ravage in a plastic bubble, suggesting at the very least Ravage will be shipped in a plastic bubble, or possibly even that Ravage will be carded. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available. |

2005 Boards member S250 has also shared with us some in package images of the upcoming Deluxe Class Revenge of the Fallen Brawn. The little tough Autobot isn't quite so little anymore now that he is a Deluxe class toy. He will be hitting shelves as a part of the second 2010 Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe wave with the highly anticipated Deluxe Class Ratchet, Lockdown and Strike Mission Sideswipe.
Also revealed in these new images is Brawn's bio: There's nothing BRAWN loves more than a challenge. Luckily, working with the N.E.S.T. Global Alliance gives him plenty of opportunities to show his strength. He has a new assignment; take down the Decepticon strong-bot RAMPAGE. The Decepticon warrior's strength is legendary, but BRAWN intends to crush him and his legend with a couple blows of his indestructible fists. |

Here is a slightly bizarre sighting for you today - the Transformers Universe Special Editions, previously Asian market and then Hasbro Toy Shop US Exclusives, have been found at US Retail according to a sighting on 4Chan and backed up by sightings by members of our 2005 Boards. The special editions - Drag Strip, Overkill, Megatron and Optimus Prime - are being found in Marshalls stores priced $9.99 each. Several members of our 2005 Boards are reporting finding "Blockbuster Value" two packs of Star Wars Transformers in Target stores. These Crossovers repacks contain two single carded figures in a cardboard sleeve, sold at the same price as a single Star Wars Crossover - so two for the price of one. Confirmed packs so far include:
Kit Fisto / Clone Pilot Republic Gunship General Grievous Starfighter / Magnaguard Droid Darth Vader's TIE Fighter / Darth Vader's Jedi Starfighter Ahsoka Tano / AT-TE Walker |

Wave 1 of the Transformers RPM Lights and Sound Assortment has been sighted at Walmart stores in Elgin and Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Wave 1 includes Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. The Lights and Sounds figures are non-transformable vehicle representations of your favorite characters with several voice clips and car sound effects along with flashing headlights. Optimus Prime features several Peter Cullen clips, while Bumblebee's voice clips are random clips from television and radio splice together to create a phrase. Check out picture proof of the sighting by clicking on the thumbnail to the left.

2005 Boards member Hoolagrin has kindly shared with us a selection of new DCPI numbers found in Target's computers. These listings are all set as active with no set date or planogram info so are some way out:
087-06-1950 - Transformers Cyber Ops Bumblebee ~$60 087-06-0109 - Transformers Movie 2 Battle pk ~$20 087-06-1556 - Transformers 5pk combiner ~$20 087-06-1889 - Transformers DLX movie collection ~$13 087-06-1890 - Transformers DLX Collection 2 ~$13 087-06-1892 - Transformers Combiners 2 pk ~ $10 087-06-0019 - Transformers movie 2 legends 2pk ~$7 087-06-2048 - Transformers Animation Laptop ~ $20 The Combiners 2pk listing is thought to refer to the previously seen Power Core Combiners Huffer with Caliburst set. Movie 2 Legends 2pk possibly refers to the Target Exclusive Legends two packs Bumblebee with Shadow Striker and Smokescreen with Starscream. Movie 2 Battle pk is probably the NEST Battle pack containing Battlefield Bumblebee and Infiltration Soundwave. The other listings are unknown - just what is Cyber Ops Bumblebee? What is the 5 pack combiner? Join in the speculation by clicking on the discuss button below! Other listings include new numbers for assortments such as Leader Class, Voyager Class, Unleashed Turnarounds, Activators and Human Alliance. This confirms that at some point in the future we may see new Activators class toys, and possibly a continuation of the Human Alliance line (although the listing may also refer to Barricade and Mudflap). |
