Greetings! Good to see ya!
Finally. Finally I found her. The one. The one I've been searching for.... No, not HER, you romantic twit! I mean TFA Arcee! Sheesh! Anyway, let me tell you all that white and pink was a huge pain to paint! This is a figure many people have been waiting over 20 years for, only to be disappointed with the color scheme. I hear your cries, people! She was made using a combo of Dupli Color Super White Enamel, and a hand-mixed pink of my own design, using Model Master Acryl paints. The eyes were painted silver, then clear blue was used for that vac-metal effect. All of the hand mixed paint was used, so she's a one of a kind. A coat of Pledge Future was used for durability. Thanks for your time!

Tears in my eyes....
Yo Sentinel, I am always using paints but they always rub off. Is there anything you use that "seals" the paints to make them more durable? Any tips?

Your custom paint job is great!
I would have loved if the one they released looked like that, but to tell you the truth I really don't mind the colors on the one that Hasbro gave us.

Seriously.
Tighten ball joints. Perfect car-like gloss shine. Mix it with clear flat coat for a flat finish. Protects paint like armor, but makes it look glass-smooth. Excellent for coating applied decals. Mix it with a bit of any color clear paint for a deliciously smooth window tint. Apply a coat to plastic when paint won't stick. Let dry for 24 hours, and your paint will then bond. Add to acrylic paint instead of water for extra smoothness, adherence and durability. Sand down your balljoints, then apply 2 or so coats of Future. Instant Armor protected paint. These are just some examples, I'm sure some of the masters can even find more uses!

Great site in general though. Sorry for the derail SP. |

Excellent job on this. I'm not really down with Animated too much and I'm horrified seeing the original paint scheme for her. You've done her proud.

Excellent job, dude!
You know, the original paint scheme didn't look half bad until you compare it to Sentinel's custom. Of course, in all honesty how many little boys would buy a bubblegum pink robot anyway?
