Twin Twist and Top Spin are extremely common figures to the English speaking collectors out there. Nearly every lot you buy has a few of them thrown in just to get rid of them. But, in Argentina, there were some really cool recolors of these molds.
So for today's Featured Ebay Auction, we actually have three auctions featuring the various recolor Jump Starters. All auctions come from seller argentostore. Check out G1 Salt-Man Z, G1 Robot-Man X, and G1 Robot-Man Z. Check out more Generation 1 Listings to find other great items. Click the headline of the story for more photos. |

Over the years we have been more than happy to bring the serious collectors in our community news and information regarding on-going scams from Ebay sellers on fake G1 Transformers, fake Lucky Draw Transformers, and so much more. It's with a bit of a sad heart that we now bring up a growing scam on Ebay that serves only to hurt the collector community - fake AFA graded Transformers.
In a recent discussion thread on our forums, a member saw a G1 Transformer figure AFA graded for sale on Ebay. He thought that was pretty cool - until he noticed that the AFA grading ID number was the same as his sealed AFA graded figure! Further investigation showed that this toy had been fakely AFA graded by a known scam artist on Ebay, and had been in circulation (and in 3 seperate collector's hands) for a couple of years now. Thanks to the power of the Internet, the seller of this item and the collector he purchased it from were able to communicate with our members and the discovery that the original seller of this item is a known AFA scam artist on Ebay. What's so important about this? For starters, AFA graded items, especially Generation 1 Transformers, can go for THOUSANDS of U.S. dollars. So while some people can be scammed out of $30.00 USD for a Rumble/Frenzy & Ratbat two-pack, others are being scammed $2,000.00 USD for what they believe is an AFA graded G1 Transformer. It also brings to light a conversation that many have been having for years - is AFA (Action Figure Authority) grading really that meaningful? You pay money to have the figure graded and even pay money to get a grading summary on an item. And now AFA is being forged and faked by scammers. For those of you who collect sealed items, including AFA sealed items, we recommend using caution, as you should always be doing when making any online purchases from individuals as opposed to online toy stores. If an item is AFA graded, you have a right as a buyer to either have the seller provide you an item grading history, or to get that information on your own. There is always more information, of course, at AFA's website, ToyGrader.com. We also urge buyers to use our forums, especially our Transformers Toy Discussion and Transformers On Ebay forums, to get information from other users and to use the numerous threads of information on how to tell the difference between knock-off reproductions and legit items. |

The first in-package images have surfaced on The-Arker of Human Alliance Jazz with Captain Lennox. In addition these new images reveal the bio for this eagerly anticipated figure:
"Against the massed forces of the Decepticons, it will take every bit of power and ingenuity Autobot Jazz and Captain Lennox have to win. Though the two soldiers have only just met, they are both experienced fighters, used to working in synch with others. They easily team up to focus all their fire on a single, huge Decepticon, and bring him crashing down." You can view both images by clicking the thumbnail! |

Previews' latest catalog includes a selection of new Transformers images! Among the new images are a better look at Generations Wave 2, the second assortments of Power Core Combiners and Hunt for the Decepticons Voyagers, but the real news are the new images of the next waves of Hunt for the Decepticons Deluxes and Scouts, which give us our first looks at Deluxe Class Tuner Skids, and Scout Class Oil Pan! Tuner Skids is a darker green version of his original release, with copper accents. Oil Pan meanwhile is a yellow redeco of Scout Class Breakdown with white racing stripes.
These new listings also state the possible breakdowns and release dates of these new waves: Hunt for the Decepticons Scouts Wave 2: Breacher, Insecticon and Oil Pan with Hubcap, Brimstone and Crankstart carrying over from the previous wave. Hunt for the Decepticons Deluxe Wave 2: Sidearm Sideswipe, Tuner Skids, Elita-1 and Hailstorm. Hunt for the Decepticons Voyager Wave 2: Battle Blades Optimus Prime and Decepticon Banzaitron, with Night Ops Autobot Ratchet carrying over from the previous wave. Generations Wave 2: War for Cybertron Megatron and Darkmount (Straxus). Figures carrying over from previous wave are unconfirmed, but War for Cybertron Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are pictured. Power Core Combiners 2 Packs Wave 2: Sledge with Throttler, Icepick with Chainclaw and Lead Foot with Pinpoint. Power Core Combiners 5 Packs Wave 2: Double Clutch with Rallybots and Mudslinger with Destructicons. All of these assortments are listed with a tentative shipping start date of August 2010, however please bear in mind this is the date they will start shipping to speciality stores, and not necessarily to larger retailers. But it is a good ballpark estimate of when to start expecting these guys to first show up. Click on the title of this story to see all the images. |

It's been a long time coming, but it is finally here! Today we are proud to announce the launch of our comprehensive Japanese Transformers category! Yes, the TFW2005 Transformers Resources section is no longer limited to just the American Transformers series! Now our resources coverage is expanded to every major Japanese Transformers line as well - from the Japanese only toys released as a part of Takara's Headmasters series in 1987, to the brand new, current Takara-Tomy Transformers Animated releases. We have sections dedicated to the Binaltechs and Masterpieces. The various Japanese Beast Wars series are all also represented, as is the series that got it all started for us 10 years ago - Transformers Car Robots.
But we have so much more than the main lines too. We have a comprehensive section covering the many different series of Transformers PVCs licensed and released by Takara, and a section for those awesome limited edition Lucky Draw Transformers. Plus we are very proud to announce quite possibly the most comprehensive coverage of the Transformers Kabaya kits anywhere on the internet. These extremely cool candy toys began with Transformers in 1985 and have stayed with it right up until the present day, and we are proud to make this detailed section on these quite often overlooked Transformers collectibles available to you, the fans. This section has been a labor of love for all of us involved, and we hope you all enjoy it as much as we have in making it a reality. I would particularly like to draw your attention to the help of the 2005 staff members and supporters who have made all this possible. First and foremost, I would like to give a big thanks to SydneyY for all his support with translations and compiling information on the Kabaya section. Next I would also like to thank SmokescreenGT for all his work on the Binaltech section, and Trebleshot for his work on Car Robots. I would also like to thank 2005 Contributor flywheels 2005 Boards Supporter kenucme for generously allowing us to use their vast archives of boxed Transformers images, allowing us to fill in many blanks. Lastly I would like to thank all the other members of the staff and of the boards who have supported us along the way, and I hope will continue to support us as we continue to expand our Transformers Resources section into the ultimate reference for fans hardcore and casual alike. |

Courtesy of 2005 Boards member Masabon, we have received scans of the July 2010 edition of Dengeki Hobby magazine. This edition highlights the next assortment of Transformers Animated toys to be released in Japan, including Jetfire and Jetstorm, Skywarp, Thundercracker and Soundblaster. There is also a page of coverage for Takara-Tomy's Transformers 2010 campaign highlighting the three pieces for the campaign revealed so far: Masterpiece Convoy Sleep Mode, Crystal Animated Optimus Prime and Rodimus "Sons of Cybertron" two pack, and Unicron. Interestingly there is also a hint and a promise of the fourth member of this group - the fourth will be worth "3 points". Given that Unicron is stated as being 2 points, and Convoy is 4 points, whoever the last member of the group is must be somewhere between the two in terms of cost? We'll have the answer soon - according to Masabon, the last member of the campaign will be revealed in the manual that comes with Masterpiece Convoy Sleep Mode.

Good news today for fans of Nick Roche's artwork. In a post on the IDW Publishing forums, IDW Editor Andy Schmidt reveals that Nick Roche's next bit of Transformers related work will be to provide pencils for Transformers #13. You might be familiar with some of Nick's previous work, such as providing the art and the writing for the recently concluded and fan acclaimed Last Stand of the Wreckers miniseries. ACToys has posted some images of the Transformers Collectors’ Club Exclusive Shattered Glass Cyclonus with Krunix. This will be released in August and you can pre-order the figure at the Official Transformers Collectors’ Club WebSite.
Here’s a brief description of Shattered Glass Cyclonus and his targetmaster partner Krunix… "Cyclonus has always found loyalty to be merely a means to an end. However, the war has changed and Cyclonus may have changed as well. With the help of his new Targetmaster, Krunix, Cyclonus seeks to leave his old ways behind so that he can once again be deemed a worthy soldier in the Decepticon ranks. Cyclonus is a Deluxe sized figure from the Shattered Glass Universe. A heroic Decepticon, Cyclonus comes with his targetmaster partner Krunix. This small ally changes into Cyclonus’ weapon which can be used by the Decepticon in both robot and vehicle mode. The toy is packed in a convention style box with a foam insert for easy removal and display." Checkout the Images by hitting the link above. |

Several 2005 members have noticed today that WFC Generations Optimus Prime and WFC Bumblebee are both in stock on TRU.com! In addition, Toys R Us is also running a promotion for buy one Transformer product and get one 50% off which is very fortuitous as that means you can apply that discount to these two figures. No orders have been cancelled yet and e-mail confirmations have been sent so this looks very promising. In fact, this news poster has ordered them as well and didn't encounter any hitches.

Lingerie company Victoria’s Secret has created a video especially for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to congratulate her on landing her first ever acting role in Transformers 3. With it, we now have our first official confirmation regarding Miss Rosie getting the Leading-Lady role on the third movie.
You can checkout the video at their official FaceBook page or for those who don't have an account you can watch it . But, please be warned that this video may not be suitable for minors. Depending on what you were focusing on, you may have seen the Transformers 3 logo and the Autobot insignia, or at least a form of it anyway. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will be filming her first scenes over the next week or so, if she hasn’t already, and we’ll probably get our first look at her acting abilities in the teaser trailer. We would like to congratulate Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on getting the role and wishing her a bright acting career. |
